Pakali breathed quietly, slowly falling asleep. Zuberi came up and laid beside her.
"Sleep well," he whispered.
Pakali groaned and opened one olive-green eye slightly, glaring irritably at him.
"I was wondering if I could stay here, that's all," he said, smirking playfully.
"Fine," Pakali hissed softly. "But only for a while."
