Aureus is an unwanted, left-out lioness. Abandoned by her mother, Durus, and given the name "Sula" (meaning disrespect) due to Durus' hatred of cubs, she was left to die... until she came across Vikra. [At this stage, Vikra was an adolescent] Vikra was preparing to pounce on a young antelope for her first hunt, when a tiny, orange-furred cub caught onto Vikra's tail. Though annoyed at first, Vikra soon became bonded to the cub, and named her "Aureus." Aureus grew up to be a fine huntress, and a worthy member of the pride, but never came close to finding out who her mother is.
