Vitani bristled. "So, where IS your pretty daughter, Nala? Did she go the same way as Mufasa?"
"No, Vitani." Nala's voice was racked with pain. "She's standing right in front of me."
Vitani bared her teeth. "What are you talking about?" she growled.
"Vitani... you are my daughter," Nala choked out.
"No, I'm not!" Vitani hissed. "Zira is my true mother!"
Nala shook her head. "No.... Scar wasn't your father anyway... I had to give you up, or Scar would've killed you... I'm sorry, Vitani. I only did it to protect you," Nala whispered.
Vitani lunged at Nala, claws unsheathed and teeth bared. "I don't believe it," she spat. "I hate you! I hate you for what you've done! For lying to me!"
A pang of sadness and hurt stabbed at Nala's heart. She shook her head. "Vitani, I did it so you would live. I'm so sorry.... I didn't want you to die. Please, you have to understand, Vitani," Nala pleaded.
"I should just kill you right now!" Vitani shrieked.
"Oh, Vitani," Nala whispered. "Do you think that I would like to keep on living, knowing my daughter hates me? I gave up a part of my soul, giving you up. Don't you understand, Vitani?"
Vitani lowered her ears and showed her teeth. "This one time I will spare you," she snarled. "But next time, you won't get off so easily... not without a fight."
I know that Vitani and Nala's coloring isn't that great... sorry. And Nala looks so skinny.. yeah, this proves that I need to work on drawing lions more. XP
