History

Despite her very cold looking exterior, Tara has a very soft and bubbly interior. Her bubbly personality effects everyone that is around her and she loves to make everyone smile and have a good time. Even if the situation is a very scary or serious one, she will do whatever she can to make the situation lighter and less scary. She doesn't like her first name so she likes to have her friends call her Tara. She's a lover not a fighter, and will try very hard not to fight with anyone. She's sees a light in everyone and feels like no one should be killed no matter the situation. No one truly understands where the light inside of her comes from seeing as her history wasn't truly the best, but some say that's just the calming and loving spirit that lives within her. But behind all of that calming and loving nature is still a scared little cub that grew up used and abused. When the light is gone and there is no one around, the scared cub is let loose. Some say that Tara and Selene are two different lions. Tara is day and Selene is night. Selene is a very cold and cruel lion, snapping at those Tara would never snap at or harm. Selene loves violence and blood shed. Selene is the reason the Tara hates her name. When Selene is let lose some call her Selene the Sinister. However, Selene is not let lose very often. Tara's will for peace and love overcomes the war and hate the lives inside of Selene the Sinister. Selene the Sinister only comes when Tara is in a great amount of fear and feeling out of control. Despite her need to make everyone else around her happy, she will sometimes suffer her own happiness for the happiness of others. She'd much rather she others happy than herself, which in itself is her greatest strength and her greatest weakness.
When Tara was born, she was born in a world of hate and blood. Her father was a cruel cruel lion, and her mother was just as cruel. The moment Tara began showing the want for peace and love, her parents snapped. They did everything to try and turn that peacefulness to hatred. Nothing ever worked. Beating after beating left Tara near dead many different times during the first few years of her live. It never broke her passion for peace. Then one day Tara came across a sweet little creature. She wanted the creature for a pet and she brought it home planning on hiding it. The young lioness hid it for weeks, feeding it, caring for it, loving it. But one day when her mother came to gather her for her training she found the creature. Her mother was enraged and she snatched her daughter by the scruff and dragged her and the creature to her father. Her father snarled at her, calling her cruel names and finally ripping the throat out of the creature. He finished off by beating Tara once again to an inch of her life. Her friends knew about the cruelness of her parents, but no matter what the young lioness stuck it out. It was when she reached her teens she knew she was completely different from most like her. She began to feel attraction to females, instead of the traditional males. She didn't dare tell her parents, she was beaten for just talking of peace. So one day she decided that she would go to a pond to talk to herself. One night her parents called for her in the den. They were very nice to her, something they never were. They decided to send her out to gather food. Little did she know that her father had heard her talking to herself. On her way to gathering food, she felt a shearing pain in her back and was was dragged to the ground. And on that day a shred of that need for peace was ripped away and Selene the Sinister was born. Her innocence was snatched away. When she staggered back to her parents den and covered in blood she expected her parents to be concerned. It was a hopeless concern for once she entered the house she was once around met with the pull of her scruff and the beating of her father and mother. Once her parents left her, she finally decided was enough.She would no longer allow herself to be tortured any more. So she ran. And on that day a terrible fire had started. She remembered being weak from the wounds and and stumbling around. She remembered falling in a tree that was on fire. That was first night Selene showed up, for when she finally woke up she was by a creak with her face in the water. She remember nothing of how she got there. All that remained of that terrible night, is the side of her face burned and the scars from the attack that left part of her broken. But nothing of how she got to the creak or where her parents were. The second time Selene showed up was when she saw her parents, months later. Her fear over came and she felt her self fall asleep. When she woke up her parents were laying dead at her feet, her paws covered in blood. The side of her face in shearing pain. She was terrified when she heard that she had done it. Her sacred oath not to kill was broken. She could not remember anything that she does when she is Selene, only bits in pieces.
