Note - This is my first chapter to chapter fan fiction, it tells the story of a lion who becomes known across the lands for his evil and unpredictable nature with archived recordings where he will speak directly to the reader to explain key plot points and develop things further, chapter length will be anywhere between medium and long. With an estimated 15-20 chapters (may expand the plot more if I enjoy writing it). I will try to keep it reasonably accessible to all ages, but it may be difficult to really show his true character that way so yeah, be advised and stuff.
Other than that, enjoy XD.

"Some lions and lionesses might tell you that the lands are split between the Pridelands, where those who know no better reside, brainwashed by a make believe monarchy. And the outlands, where those who have tried to see the light always seem to end up.
But there is more to the world we reside in than good and bad, right and wrong. You see for people like me, there is another area, an area which surprise surprise, the royal family always fail to mention. Perhaps you would like to hear my tale on how I ended up here?
Oh before I forget, I did come into the world with a different name. I suppose you could say it is still my official name, but if you did, they would be your last words! I am now known only by my nickname, my hunting and fighting name. the cub you are about to hear about? He no longer exists!
First off, let me tell you a bit about my upbringing. Because I am Seed, I am the most feared evil lion who has ever set foot on land, and this, this is my story."
Chapter 1 - The seed is planted
“Oh my he is beautiful.” Said the female lioness, she was a stunning looking lioness, her fur was a crisp golden brown, her eyes shined bright blue and she was ideal weight for a mid-aged lioness.
“He takes after you in stunning looks.” Said a male lion that was sat next to his partner, looking down at their newly born lion cub. He was a well groomed lion, however he had a few visible scars on his legs, and he was bigger built than the average lion. “Come on little guy, get me.” He laughed softly as he waved his large paw around slowly in front of the cub’s face and wiggled his claws back and forth.
The cub seemed to be laughing at first, but he suddenly extended his soft baby index claw, and took a swipe at his dad’s paw. “Ow... He’s a fighter too, just like his old man.” The father said, and let out a boastful but short laugh.
“Oh dear, you’re teasing him. Stop it.” His mate said abruptly, nudging his paw away from the child.
“Ah come on, only having a little bit of fun with him, why when I was a cub, my father..” The male lion’s deep voice was suddenly cut off.
“Yeah and look what happened to you in the end...” She interrupted, tilting her head down at the scars on her lover’s leg, the scars were faint but were visible enough to make out what had caused them, various bites and scratches. “...I just don’t want history to repeat itself, after we said we would put the past behind us.” She continued, and frowned slightly, lovingly nuzzling him.
The male lion returned the nuzzle, and softly replied “I know, I know. Hey, I made a promise and I intend to keep it to you, I love you.” He said, staring into her eyes.
“And I love you.” She said in return. “And now, we have a beautiful baby boy.”
The small infant cub let out a tiny yawn and his eyes began to softly close.
“He still needs a name, what do you think?” The male lion asked his mate as they both watched their cub fall asleep.
“Hmmm” She thought to herself, it had to be something good, something which represented anything loving, as long as it would have nothing to do with strength, or violence, which she despised. “I like... Afua.”
“That’s...” The male lion stopped himself, he knew the name and it’s meaning, it is a peaceful name and means protection and mercy. But what could he do? He just wanted to make his beautiful lover happy, after all it was the first proper relationship he had been involved with in his life, all other lionesses feared seeing him usually. “That’s perfect” He said reassuringly.
And the cub’s eyes fell closed; he fell to sleep curled up in soft leaves that were used for make-shift bedding.
The incredible sun lit orange sky had turned a shade darker as night was approaching.
