Just a story about Scar and Zira's wedding day, tied to my RP. No bashing or flaming please.

Descent Into Darkness


Supposedly, it was a happy day for the Pridelands. The sons of Ahadi and Uru, Mufasa and Scar, were getting married today. Mufasa would be marrying Sarabi, the daughter of an old friend of Ahadi’s and his mate. Scar, formerly known as Taka before he angered Ahadi and received the vertical scar on his right eye from him, would be marrying Zira, the daughter of Ahadi’s other friend and his mate. She had been born with the name of Bianca, but changed it to express her fury at Mirage, a mysterious young lioness who was Zira’s rival for Scar’s affections. There was a fight between them, and Mirage tore a half-circle chunk out of Bianca’s ear. At that moment, Bianca changed her name to Zira in order to express the great hatred she was feeling toward her rival. Ahadi and Uru had been happy to have Mufasa marry Sarabi. However, they did not feel the same way about Scar marrying Zira, as she had quite a reputation for being a troublemaker. However, Scar, being in love with her, insisted. They gave in, resolving to let him see the results of his choice on his own. At the moment, Mufasa and Scar were waiting for their brides.

“Are you nervous, brother?” Mufasa asked.

“What male isn’t on their wedding day?” Scar replied, eagerly wishing that his hated brother would not talk to him again.

Mufasa and Scar looked forward. Out of the den came Sarabi and Zira, lovely savannah flowers tucked behind their ears. They took their places. Just then, Rafiki arrived on the scene. He began the ceremony.

“Creatures of de Pridelands, we are gathered here today to witness de union of Prince Mufasa and Sarabi, and de union of Scar and Zira,” he began.

He looked at Mufasa.

“Mufasa, do you take Sarabi to be your bride?” he asked.

“I do,” Mufasa replied.

Rafiki turned to Sarabi.

“Sarabi, do you take Mufasa to be your husband?” he asked.

“I do,” Sarabi replied.

Rafiki then turned to Scar and Zira.

“Scar, do you take Zira to be your bride?” he asked.

Scar smiled.

“I do,” he said.

Rafiki looked at Zira.

“Zira, do you take Scar to be your husband?” he asked.

“I do,” she said.

To signify that the ceremony was complete and a new chapter of the life of the pride had begun, Rafiki shook the fruits attached to his staff over their heads, and then looked at the crowd.

“Then so be it. Mufasa and Sarabi and Scar and Zira are mates, and Sarabi and Zira are princesses of de Pridelands,” he exclaimed.

The pride roared out in celebration, and the animals around them all cheered. That night, Scar and Zira were in their den.
“Today was the best day of my life,” she said.

Scar nodded.

“Mine too,” he said.

Zira looked into his emerald eyes.

“Now what happens?” she asked.

Scar grinned wickedly.

“My father is old now. Soon, he will turn the kingdom over to Mufasa. Then, we will bide our time and when the moment is right, we will tear it from his paws!” he shouted.

Both lions laughed a wicked laugh. It was then that Zira began to whisper what appeared to be sweet nothings in Scar’s ear. However, these were words brought up from a hate-filled heart, words that encouraged Scar to put his plot into motion as soon as possible. His marriage to Zira would be another step down the road to darkness.
