I'm back< and I'm done editing my story with the few flaws. So here it is, My newest copy of my story! Enjoy! 8-)

Chapter 1: Prologue
Africa, the home of many animals that are out here as we know it. There are many different savannahs and animals out there that most of us don't know about. In these savannahs, wild animals life throughout laws and other things that relate to something called "The Circle of Life," a cycle that's lives in all of us. Think of it as one of the famous places of all too every African animal, but that's when a new animal emerges. The Great Kings of the Past and Rafiki, the PrideLand's shaman, has heard about this creature but they never expected it to come here, until now.

Rafiki has told the lions of Pride Rock, a giant rock formation where the lions life, about tales about these creatures and how they weren't real, but now, those tales become real. This is the rise of a creature called, "Human," but this one is different from all of the other ones all of the animals heard about. This human is known as someone special, someone that connects to the safe future of the Pride Lands. Problem is who is this hero?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the middle of the Pride Lands, with the sun high in the sky, and the animals roaming around peacefully, there was only one human that was walking in the lands.

The broad shouldered, skinny teenager was wearing a short, rolled up sleeved red vibrant jacket with a hood on his head covering his face, bray long pants and black combat boots. Plus on both of his hands, he had on black leather gloves.

They were randomly chatting with the other animals about this weird creature, but all the human did was ignore the negative comments and kept walking. After a few hours with the sun still in the sky, he made it to a large waterhole. He got onto his knees and the only thing he did was stare at his reflection in the water.

That's when something was shining on his right hand and he brings his right arm up. On his right forearm, there was a gauntlet that was almost the length to his elbow. It was outlined in yellow, with some pieces purple while the gem in a circle part of the gauntlet was a shining green emerald that kept on going.

"What the," the boy asked curiously as he quiet up then looked at the bushes on the other side of the waterhole. That's when a lioness cub that was a month old with light orange fur and brown eyes came out, breathing heavily.

"Phew," she said. "Got away from those two idiots."

'Who's that,' the human thought in curiosity.

The boy watched the cub looked at her reflection in the water. That's when the female cub saw a butterfly and chased after it, not noticing the person on the other side of the waterhole. The boy kept on watching the cub trying to catch and pounced the flying creature, until he paid his attention to the bubbles at the edge of the waterhole.

He came closer to see what it was, then a hand came out of the water, grabbed the boy by his face and pulled him whole into the water. When the cub heard the splash, she stopped playing with the butterfly and turned to the waterhole and yelled out, "Is any one there?"

"Hello, Princess Kiara," a mysterious voice said behind the cub.

Kiara turned around and what she saw was a tall, broad shouldered, person wearing a black coat that was covering his head with a hood.

"Wh-who are you," she said half brave and half scared. "And how do you know me?"

"I have spies that know everything about you and your family, Kiara," he said in a cold tone.

"Spies," Kiara said curiously.

"People who watch others in disguise, but any who, I'm here for that. I'm here for one important thing."

"What is it? Maybe I'll be able to help you find it."

The man chucked a little, then said, "Silly little girl." With that, he held his hand up and darkness was coming from the ground, forming into this weird half human-half lion hybrid that were covered in complete darkness.

"What the," the Princess yelled out.

"You see, little girl," he said with his voice changing into a Russian accent. "I have my orders from the King. As much as I don't want to do this to you, I have to anyway."

With that, he snapped and the 8 lion-human hybrids charged at the defenseless cub. Kiara just stood there frozen with her eyes closed. When the hybrids were close to the cub, they something that was like a quick flash, and next thing they knew, they were frozen and they fell to the ground disappearing. Kiara opened her eyes and saw that nothing was there except for the man who was standing there, shocked and paralyzed.

The man got out of his shock ness, then sighed. "If you want things done yourself," he said as he took off his hood to his robe. "You have to do it yourself."

When he took out his robe, his face looked like a lion's face and he had a black mane around his neck with his dark blue eyes. Kiara was scared of what was going to happen, and then the hybrid with the weird accent ran towards to the cub at fast speed with his right hand-paw out with claws extended. When he was close to Kiara, he brought his claws down and was about to strike the closed eyed cub, but when he did, she was already gone.

"What the," he said while looking around. "Where are you, child!"

"Looking for us, Kion," a voice said in a cool voice.

The lion-human hybrid's eyes opened wide and when he turned around, his eyes opened even wider. It was the same teenager that got pulled into the water holding the lioness cub, but here's the weird thing, he was fully dried and his hood was off. He had white hair that went down to his neck, with his skin that's white and had green emerald eyes.

Kion's eyes were still opened wide, until they returned to normal size, and he had a grin on his face. "Well, well, well," he said calmly. "It's been a week ever since I've seen you," he paused then said, "Matumaini."

Author's Note: Hey, everyone! I got a little something to say. I'll be beginning a new story after I post the second chapter to "Matumaini". It's kind of going to be a pattern, do 2 chapters for this, and 2 chapters for my other story. Simple as that, so I hope you guys enjoy this story and keep an eye out for my new one. I'm sorry for those who were expecting a longer chapter then this. I'm a little busy with all this stuff I have to do.

Kion and Matu, the one who's holding Kiara, were just standing there quietly for a few seconds looking at each other until...

"Matumaini," Kiara said breaking the silence looking at the teen.

"Yes, little girl," Kion said. "The boy who's holding you is known as the former prince of his home... until his brother took over it," he finished with a snarling sound.

"What did that idiot do this time, Kion," Matu said cooly.

"First things first, my name's Kiongozi, brat," he growled. "Second, that idiot is the one who gave me this kind of power!"

Matu stood there looking at Kiongozi, and then said, "You're only thinking of the power from the strength of a lion. That's not what it means"

"True power isn't from being a strongman or lion," he continued. "True power and strength..." He paused then placed his hand on his chest. "Comes from your heart, and friends and family."

"Enough gibberish," Kiongozi roared out that made Kiara jump a little. "Let's see who the powerful one then is." With that, Kion raised his hand into the sky and out of nowhere, at least 6 to 7 li-man hybrids appeared with different kinds of weapons in their hand-palms and they were covered in complete darkness. Matu just let out a giant laugh.

"That's your plan," Matu said while laughing. "Sending in a bunch of hybrids to attack me? How come you can't come and fight me without your body guards doing it for you?"

"These bodyguards... are made out of my darkness," Kion said while smiling sickly. "Meaning, they each have the half of my strength, but together, they'll you!"

"Oh wow," Matu said sarcastically. "I'm so scared."

"You should be," Kion hissed. "These men will kill you in a second if you don't get serious."

"All right then," the teen said in a regular tone. "Then let's see what your made of," then he looked at the cub he was holding. "As for you..." he put Kiara down then said as he un-rolling his sleeves, "Run along and go home to your mommy and daddy."

"But, what about you," the Princess said a little worried.

"Don't worry bout me," Matu said as he finished un-rolling his right arm sleeve. When he put it down, a sword came out from the under sleeve and went into the ground. Matu pulled his arm up and grabbed the handle of the dug sword. "I think I got it covered." With that, he pulled his sword out of the ground and points it at Kion.

"You ready, Kio," he said while smiling.

"Anytime," the hybrid said as he pointed his finger at the teen then yelled out, "Men, attack!"

The dark hybrid soldiers started to run towards Matu at full speed, ready to attack. Matu just smirked then ran towards the hybrids too. When the two were about to collide, Matu think some quick thinking, held his sword out and ran through the crowd of hybrids, slashing through them one by one. When he was done, he made it out of the crowd and just stood there, and with one snap from his fingers, the hybrids disappeared in mid air which left Matu with a smile on his face.

"Wow," the cub said in excitement jumping. "That was so cool!"

Kiongozi was just standing there, shaking a little, and stuttering at what he has seen.

'He's quicker then unexpected,' the li-man thought. 'What kind of training has he been doing?'

Kion stopped shaking then started clapping. "Very good, child," he said a little surprised. "You've done well fighting against my army."

"You said they had your strength that was doubled," Matu said wondering about Kio's little trick as he went back to Kiara in fast speed.

Kiara was shocked at what she has seen. "How did you-

"If you say that, then how come they were too easy for me," Matu said interrupting Kiara's question.

"Don't you see, kid," Kio said growling a little. "That was just a warm up. I wanted to save my energy for something special." His hands started to glow of darkness without Matu and Kiara noticing.

"Oh, and what's that?"

"Yeah," Kiara said backing up Matu.

"What I meant..." Kio paused then raised both of his hands. "IS THIS!" With that, he held both of his hands out to Matu and Kiara, then a giant spear beam of darkness blasted towards both of them.

Kiara hid behind Matu while the teen just stood there and watched as the beam came towards him. Everything went in slow motion as Matu dropped his sword from his right hand and held it in front of his face with the gauntlet. The emerald jewel that was in the gauntlet shined of a yellow light and next thing that was known, a huge explosion appeared around the waterhole as time resumed at it's normal pace. It was so huge and loud; all the animals of the savannah heard of it and looked out of the distance watching it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile at Pride Rock, Lion King, Simba, was at the steep point of the rock and he saw an explosion that was far down there.

"What's going on," Simba said to himself.

"Simba," a voice yelled out.

When the King turned around, he saw a meerkat on a warthog running to him yelling out his name repeating.

"Simba, we got problems," the meerkat yelled.

"Big problems," the warthog yelled.

"Bigger problems then Pumbaa," the meerkat replied.

"Exac- Hey!"

"Guys," Simba yelled out. "What is it? If it's about the explosion, then I already-" The King paused then found out something important. "Guys, where's Kiara," he said sternly.

"Um, well, you see," Pumbaa studdered then yelled, "Timon lost her! It's his entire fault!"

"What," the meerkat yelled. "It's your fault, Pumbaa for eating the bugs and not watching Kiara like a fat pig!"

"That's Mr. Pig!"

"GUYS," the King roared out, scaring Timon and Pumbaa. "Where... is.. she," he said slowly and coldly.

"Simba," a voice of a female yelled out. "What's the matter?"

The three turned around and Queen Nala came running towards them.

"Why are you roaring," Nala demanded.

"Kiara's missing," the King said worried.

"What," the Queen yelled out.

"Sires," a voice came from the skies.

When the King and Queen looked up, they saw their loyal majordomo, Zazu, a blue hornbill bird, coming down to them breathing a little heavy.

"Sires," he said breathing. "You won't believe what I heard."

"If it's about the explosion," Simba said, "We already know about it."

"It's about who caused the explosion and who was in it," Zazu yelled out.

"Tell us," both the King and Queen yelled.

"From what I heard from the animals who saw it," began Zazu, "they seen these two weird looking monkeys who were fighting and there was a cub there."

Both the King and Queen then looked at each other in horror and worry ness then turned back to Zazu.

"Then what," Simba said real worried.

"Then they said that the monkey with the tail then shot out some kind of beam then a huge explosion appeared, and they didn't see any bodies or anything," the hornbill said sadly.

"Simba," Nala said worried as she looked at the King as Simba was looking down at the ground in deep depression.

"She's not dead," he whispered. "I know she's not dead."

"But no one can't survive a blow like that, Sire," Zazu said worried and a little scared. "There's a chance that they might of all-"

"NO," Simba roared out furiously as he ran down Pride Rock at full speed, heading to the waterhole.

"Simba," the Queen said as she ran after him.

"Way to go, bird brain," Timon said to Zazu. "Did you really have to break the news to Simba like that?"

"But I never knew he would be this furious," Zazu complained.

"Whatever!" Timon got on top of Pumbaa, then said, "Let's go, Pumbaa!"

"Right," the warthog said as he ran down Pride Rock, heading towards the waterhole, wondering if Kiara and the other two had made it out alive.

An example on Simba being very, very, VERY caring for Kiara. Besides, it adds up to the drama in this. Any who, I hope you guys like it, and I'll be working on my other story soon enough.

Meanwhile at the waterhole, coughing was heard from the smoke of the explosion. Inside of it, Kiongozi was coughing in there and could barely see anything.

'Next time,' he thought while coughing. 'Less power into the explosion. Now where are those brats?'

He looked around to find Matumaini and Kiara, that's when he heard breathing. Kion's ears twitched and he looked straight forward to see silhouettes of a person and a cub. Kion went on all fours and crawled over there silently like a lioness was hunting their pray. We crept closer and closer to the two until he completely stopped about a few yards away from them.

"Get ready, Kids, because when I pounce..." he paused then pushed his hind legs forward into the air and went down like a missile with claws extended, ready to sink them into the human's flesh. "You'll be dead in the next second!"

When the smoke cleared away, the silhouettes were see able, but that's when Kion's eyes opened wide and he slammed his face right into Matu, but somehow, Matu didn't move. When the hybrid hit the ground, he got up and backed up a little to see the view of the human and the cub. Turned out that it was a human size mannequin that looked like Matu and had on Matu's jacket, that was on a pole sticking in the ground from its back and it had his tongue sticking out to Kion. As for Kiara, it was a cub mannequin also sticking its tongue out to Kion.

"What the-," Kion said surprisingly. "Where did those two go?"

"How about looking behind ya," a voice said.

When the li-man turned around, he saw Matu jacket less with Kiara behind his leg. Matu looked kind of beaten up with cuts and scars, bruises and a little blood on his body with his clothes ripped up, while Kiara didn't have any cuts, bruises or anything.

"How come you're the only one beaten up," Kion said wondering.

"I had to protect the kid," Matu said brave and proudly. "Besides," Then he put on a smile on his face with eyes closed. "That's my job as the future King."

"Future King," Kiara said confusingly as she looked at Matu.

"There's no way he would ever give up his crown to the likes of you," Kiongozi roared out in anger.

"I was announced as the true King of my lands," Matu fought back. "And one day, I'll return with an army to take my kingdom back!"

"Let's see about that, brat!" With that final statement, darkness surrounds him and he held his right hand out to Matu, shooting out a spear like beam of darkness towards Matu and Kiara. With quick thinking, Matu raised his gauntlet hand up, the gem of the gauntlet shined then it formed a giant shield in front of Matu. The beam hit the shield and bits and pieces of darkness flew in the sky behind Matu and Kiara as the dark beam kept on penetrating the shield. That's what made Kiongozi give out a sick smile.

'Stupid enough,' the weird hybrid thought as he snapped with his other hand. The bits and pieces of darkness that were above Matu in the sky froze in mid air. That's when the pieces started to change shape into an orb of darkness. While that happened, Kion's smile grew bigger and bigger, then let out a sick chuckle. He closed his right hand hard and the darkness beam started to disappear quickly, then Matu bring down his shield.

"That's all you got," the teen said smirking as he put his right arm down.

"Nope," the weird hybrid said. "That's just Strike 1." With that, he snapped, and nothing else happened.

That just made Matu laughed out loud while looking up in the sky. "Really, Kio," the teen said while he stopped laughing. "Is that all you-"

Matu paused then his eyes opened wide, as a strange pain was hurting at his chest. When he looked down slowly, he saw the last thing he wanted to see. A big, long spear was through his stomach that was pierced through the ground with blood going down it. The teen was shocked completely, but when he turned around slowly, he was the spear was connected to a darkness spear behind him. In fact, there where at least 6 of them floating in the sky behind him.

Matu's eyes were opened wide, then he turned back to Kio with his eyes normal, and just chuckled.

"If it's so funny to you," Kio said coldly. "Then let's try Strike 2." With another snap, two spears came out of two of the darkness spears and pierced through Matu's chest and dug into the ground with blood on the tips. That's when Matu felt his heart stop for a few seconds, then he feel to his knees and started to cough up blood.

"Matu," the defenseless cub behind the teen yelled as she walked over to him. "Please don't do this to yourself, Matu!"

Matu was breathing heavily then he said to the cub, "It's going to be all right, little one." He raised his hand and put it on Kiara's head, rubbing the fur of it. "I promise that while I'm still here..." He paused then let out a big smile to her. "I'll protect you with my life."

"Humph," was the only response from Kion. "A pathetic fool you are, former Prince. But now..." He raised his hand high in the sky and was ready to finish it off. "It's time for Strike 3, which means, goodbye!"

With that, final snap heard, three spears came in the same direction, towards Matu's heart, but then, a lion's roar was heard, which made Kion snap quickly. With that, the spears stopped, and the points of them were close to Matu's skin, ready to pierce through his heart, but instead, they disappeared into dust along with the other spears that pierced through the chests and the stomach.

"It seems this comes to a conclusion," Kion stated. "I forbid you, a do, Matumaini and Princess Kiara." With that final statement, Kiongozi disappeared in midair, leaving only Matu and Kiara alone near the waterhole, then Matu collasped to the ground completely which shocked the cub.

"Matu," Kiara yelled.

"Kiara," the voice of two animals were heard.

The Princess saw her Simba and Nala, her parents, running towards her, and then she ran towards her parents, nuzzling them by the leg. "Mom, Daddy!"

"Oh, Kiara," Nala said calm as she nuzzled her cub. "I'm glad to see you ok."

"Me too," Simba said as she nuzzled Kiara too.

Timon, Pumbaa and Zazu came from behind them and saw that the Princess was ok and safe.

"Phew," Timon said relieved. "At least Kiara's safe. That's the good part."

"Yep," Pumbaa agreed. "Alls well that ends well."

"Oh, wait," Kiara remembered as she got out the way of her nuzzling parents, and ran towards the human's collapsed body. "Mom, Daddy, this is the person who protected me!"

Simba, Nala, and Zazu ran towards where Kiara was at, and what they saw was a collapsed body, which got them confused.

"What is it," Simba said confusingly.

"And what's this," a voice said.

When the trio turned around, they saw Timon and Pumbba carrying a red jacket. Kiara went over to the two, grabbed the jacket and said, "That's Matu's jacket!"

"Matu's," the meerkat and warthog said confused completely.

"Yeah," the Princess said as she pointed to the human. "Matu's."

"Wait, wait, wait," the King said confused. "Are you sure this... thing protected you?"

"He did. He protected me from the explosion."

That's when surprised was on everybody's face, then Nala said, "Maybe we should take him back to Pride Rock and let Rafiki heal his wounds." That' when the Queen looked at her mate. "Simba," she said concerned.

The King thought it over, and then said, "All right. We'll let Rafiki treat his wounds."

"Thank you, Daddy," the Princess said as she nuzzled her father's leg which made the King smile. Simba picked up Matu's body and put it on his back while Timon and Pumbaa carried his jacket and the 6 animals walked back to Pride Rock, but Simba had a lot of things on his mind.

'Can we really trust this human,' he thought. 'No, he's the one who almost got your daughter killed. But he protected her. Protected her to get close to me. Besides for all we know...' He looked at the boy's face then back to the road. 'Maybe he's one of Zira's.'

Simba kept on thinking about it as he continued to walk with the other 5 back to Pride Rock.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Near the border of the Pride Lands and Outlands, Kiongozi was watching the animals walk off to a giant rock through binoculars, and what he saw was Matu and was focusing on his right hand, the gauntlet.

'Excellent,' he thought as he put the binoculars in his pocket. 'The King will be happy when I tell him I found what he needed. But first...' With that, he turned around and started walking out of the Pride Lands, and into one place no animal would ever go, the Outlands.

Nice story, MM! I enjoyed it; it's certainly unlike anything I've read before. Heh, it's really reminiscent of like japananime stuff; Matu seems a lot like Sasuke or perhaps some other anime teen ninja. He's certainly cool hand luke out there. I like the length of your chapters a lot; some people write like 200 or 300 word chapters; those are no good, the plot never goes anywhere. Your spelling and grammar are for the most part pretty good; there are still a number of errors sprinkled in there, so just one more proofreading could be beneficial.

One thing to look out for is Matu becoming a Mary Sue. He's pretty cool and all, but he pretty much took everything Kion threw at him without breaking a sweat (until the very end), saved Kiara, etc. Just something to watch for. Also, on a general note, try to show a little more as opposed to tell. Rather than say 'this happened then this happened then this happened' in a sequence, get more spice into it and mix things up. Describe what's going on and let the reader put things together. Using active voice instead of passive voice a bit more would help the action move faster as well. Just a thought to keep in mind. ^^

Keep up the good work, Max! I'd love to read more! ^^

Postby MaxMike01 » March 28th, 2011, 9:48 pm

Sorry I took so long to update this! I was working on my other stories, and a website for LionKingHeart Fantasy Films. I promise the update will be shorter, but for now, enjoy this chapter!

The sun was starting to set when Simba, who was carrying Matu on his back, Nala, Kiara, Timon and Pumbaa, who was carrying the human's red jacket, returned to Pride Rock, while the King's majordomo flew off to get Rafiki to heal Matu's wounds. When they got back, all the lionesses were surrounding them asking about what happened.

"I'll explain later," Simba said as he climbed to the top and went into the cave.

When he got into the dark cave, he dropped Matu off his back, then gave the human one mean look. Matu still was unconscious from that battle he had with Kio, but that wasn't the end of it. The King looked behind him to see if anyone was outside of the cave, and he saw no one, then he turned back to the teen. With that, he raised his paw slowly with claws extended, growling in furious anger, ready to swipe down at the neck of the teen. Those hairless monkey humans kill the animals for many reasons, but some humans are those who want to help. That's when that thought made Simba put his paw down and wanted to walk out, but instead, the rage and hatred of the King's eyes while he looked at the teen again which made him think of his worst nightmare.

Scar, his own uncle. How Scar was an evil creature who only wanted power over others. That's what he thought of the human in front of him, but he tried to fight his thoughts over Matu and Scar because they weren't the same at all, but it just mad Simba's anger expand more and more. While that was happening, 'Simba heard moaning and stopped fighting over his thoughts and he sat near the human's feet.

'I'll just end this poor human's life,' Simba thought ended with a snarl coming out of his mouth. With that, the King raised his paw up yet again, claws extended stretching them, and gave one more cold, dark look at the human who was moaning. 'It ends here,' he final thought bitter and cold, but when he was about to bring his claws down onto the human's neck, Nala and Kiara walked into the cave. When they saw this, the Queen and Princess looked at her mate in horror when the King was bringing his claws towards the human's neck.

"Simba," Nala yelled out.
"Daddy," Kiara yelled out.

But the King just ignored those two as his paw as about to rip his throat, killing Matu, but instead Matu's eyes opened wide, and with one quick turn, the King hit the teen's back, causing Matu to crash into the wall of the cave and made him fall to his back in pain. He rolled over so that his chest and face were on the ground and tried to get up, but he managed to get on one knee and his shoulders were in massive pain. Simba was ready to pounce while Matu had a plan in action.

Once Simba pounced, the teen held on tight to his left shoulder with his right hand, got to his feet and ran towards the mouth of the cave, and Simba hit his head towards the wall. The teen was able to make it outside, but the bright light of the sun blinded him a little, but he kept running until he tripped and fell to the ground, even in more pain. He got back on one knee, breathing heavy, and tried to control the pain of his stomach and his two shoulders which had blood coming out of them, going down his arms. The pain of it made Matu grit his teeth.

'Didn't I have enough problems today,' Matu thought.

That's when Simba let out a roar of anger and frustration which made Nala hold Kiara tight.

"Spoke too soon," Matu said out loud as he got up onto his two feet, limping . Simba came out of the cave, growling, ready to fight while Matu looked at the lion, breathing heavy, then he grinned. Matu heard footsteps behind him and turned around seeing about 5 to 6 lionesses and a meerkat on top of a warthog were coming up to see what was going on. The wounded teen turned to the King.

"Allies to help your sorry ass," Matu said grinning.

The King growled.

"Simba," one of the lionesses interrupted him. "You want us to help you," she ended with a low growl.

"No, mother," was the King's response. "I'll handle him myself."

That's what made Matu smile with a little grin. "If you want to play like that, then let's go!" With that, Matu, still holding on to his left shoulder, ran towards the King. With that, Simba was charging at Matu too. This wasn't going to be pretty at all. That's when brave little Kiara got out of her mother's death grip and went it between Matu and Simba who were charging at each other, then yelled, "STOP!"

When the two heard this warning, they completely stopped running, and looked at the cub, breathing heavy.

"Kiara," the King said furious. "Stay out of this so I can kill this... human!"

"Move, kid so I can hurt this idiot for killing me," the teen yelled out.

"That idiot is my father AND the King," Kiara protested as she turned to Matu.

"What," Matu said way off confused.

Kiara turned to her father, and said, "And that human's name is Matu, and he saved me from that explosion, like I said!"

Simba looked at her daughter with eyes wide opened, then to Matu with his eyes normal size. "You really saved my daughter," he asked in disbelieve.

"There's no other human who did," the wounded human spat out.

The King was in shocked on saying words, then said, "Thank you for saving her."

"Humph," was Matu's response.

Kiara butted in, and said, "Daddy, can Matu stay with us?"

"No, Kiara," Simba said strict.

"But why," the cub whined.

"What makes you think we can actually trust this human?"

"The fact I saved for daughter is one thing," Matu protested.

The King did a low growl which made Matu shut up, then he looked down at Kiara. "I'm sorry, Kiara, but the answer is 'No'."

"But Dad," Kiara whined.

"You know," Matu butted in. "Back in my Kingdom, those who save a heir of the throne is repaid with great riches, and in since I have nowhere else to go, that means," the teen then paused and let Simba finished.

Simba sighed, then said, "Fine. You'll stay here as a Pride member."

"Yay," Kiara bounced in joy.

"But let me warn you one thing," the King said as his voice got colder and colder everytime he said a word. "If you step out of line even once, I'll make sure I'll kill you myself!" With that, the King, in furious anger, went to the waterhole, and all the lionesses went back to their business, except for the Queen, and Timon and Pumbba.

"Sheesh," Matu said in grunt. That's when the Queen walked over to him, and said, "I'm sorry for my mate's actions. He doesn't like humans at all."

"It's ok," the teen said coolly as he kneeled, in a little pain. "Your majesty."

"Please, just call me 'Nala'."

Matu got up to his feet but then he grunted in pain, his right hand on his stomach, and left hand on his right shoulder.

"I can tell you're still injured," the Queen said worried.

"It's ok," Matu said in pain. "I can handle it a little."

"Hehehe," a voice said. "A little won't help for ya survival, young one."

The 5 turned around and saw a mandrill holding some kind of staff with fruit attached on it.

"Thank you for coming here, Rafiki," Nala said sweetly.

"A pleasure to come by the orders of the majasties," the mandrill bowed. "Now, let's fix these human up, No?"

"Yes, please," Matu said in a grunt. "Please do so."

"I'm sorry, but we'll be needing some space away from the pride until thee healing is done," the mandrill protested.

With that, Matu and Rafiki went into the cave so that the humans wounds can be healed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nearby a hill that's able to see where the mouth of the cave is at, Kiongozi, still having on his black coat, and a lioness that had a skinny stomach and powerful forelimbs. The fur of her was darkened sand tan color and her eyes red blooded with her right ear had small circular cut. Those two saw everything from the beginning when Matu came out of the cave.

"Now do you see," Kion said, breaking the silence. "That's the human I was mentioning from the beginning."

The lioness growled, then said, "Now he's a pride member of that... KING," she said in furious anger.

"Don't worry, Zira," the hybrid said with his stupid Russian accent. "We'll deal with both Simba and the boy, but for now, we must depart."

Zira nodded, and with that final note, a dark orb surrounded them both, and when the orb disappeared, they were gone, planning ahead to deal with Matumaini and King Simba.

Sorry for the long wait, every day. It turns out I was busy with Mother's Day, school, all of that. By the way, I made a new website for a group called the LionKingHeart Fantasy Films. The link will be on my profile soon enough, so check it out if you want to. Okay, peoples, here's the continuing chapter of 'Matumaini'. Sorry if it's too long, and the next chapter will be posted at a shorter time. I promise!
Matu opened his eyes, and found himself in an endless white expanse. Last thing he remembers was that he was sleeping deep in the cave of Pride Rock. Somehow, he looked at his own body and saw that his wounds were completely gone, and somehow, he has his red jacket on. The teen was known really confused and stunned about what the hell was going on. He tried to look around the expanse, but it was all vacant.

"Damn," he said quietly.

"Profanity in a place like this is not acceptable, young Matumaini," a voice echoed out.

Matu was caught in surprise when he heard that. He looked around, but saw no one, or nothing. That's when he called out, "Who are you... and where are you?"

"Look behind you," the voice said.

The teen carefully turned around, and what he saw was a person. The person was a tall, male, taller than Matu, with white and silver long hair going down to his feet. He was white skinned, while his right eye (Matu's left) had on some kind of rhinestone eye patch covering the whole eye, but the teen noticed that his other eye was gray, he thought, and he also saw that the mysterious stranger was also wearing just a white hooded robe. Matu stared at the person dead within the eyes for about a few seconds. That few turn into more and more as time kept passing. That's when he finally started the conversation.

"Who are you," Matu said cautiously.

The man smiled with his eyes closed. "I am known as the one who keeps the souls and spirits balanced as one," he said in a calm, and peaceful voice, but to Matu, it look like he wasn't even moving his teeth when he talked. "I am known as the god of this place, and this place only. I choose what'll be the future of the souls that end up here. I am many of those things, but there's only one name that everybody truly remembers me by. Hukumu."

That's what made Matu's eyes widen. His father, King Moyo, has told him stories 'bout Hukumu, and how he would place the judgment on the souls of the bodies that died. Hukumu is only the god of the endless expanse, and he can do whatever in here, but outside of the expanse, leading to Heaven or Hell, Hukumu isn't no god anymore.

Matu's eye went back to normal, then he kneeled down on one knee, looking down. Hukumu raised his hand, and then said, "There's no need to do all that. I'm not the official god."

Matu got up with fast agility then said to him, "Yes there is. You see, you have to show respect to every single god. That's what my culture is all 'bout."

The god raised an eyebrow. "I can tell. Any who, Matumaini, do you know why your here in the first place?"

"Wait, how did you know my name, and I don't know why I'm here in the first place anyway."

"Avoiding on how I know your name part, let's get down to business." Hukumu cleared his breathe, and in a clear voice, he began. "Matumaini, I'm afraid your future will go into the bad soon enough."

"What are you talking about," Matu said bewildered.

"What I mean is that you'll be in the greatest challenges that might change your life for good. Even your friends and family's too. Be careful of those who live at the outside of the land you live in."

"Wait," Matu interrupted. "Who are these people from the outs-?"

"Also," he continued, interupting Matu's question. "Beware, because without your intelligence, power and patience," Hukumu pasued and raised his hand up. "This.. Will happen if you keep evading your past and besides facing it."

With one push from both hands, Matu felt a wind push behind him, and when he opened it, from his eyes, he have seen a giant pair of doors that opened. Powerful winds blew out like a hurricane, but Matu tried to stay in place during this. When the powerful winds stopped, dark coated arms came out of the darkness of the door and were aiming for Matu. With the teen standing there in deep fear and terror, he snapped out of it and starts running towards Hukumu as fast as he can while the long, skinny arms try to grab him.

He knew what that meant.

The long, dark coated arms, the giant pair of doors, the dark with one light unseen.

All of this meant that a soul was going to the Underworld, the Realm of Death, Hell. Either way it's called, it's the last place Matu ever wanted to go when he died. The teen was only about a few feet from the Hukumu, but when he tried to grab him, the young one was too late. The arms got him, and they started to pull him into the darkness. The last thing the teen saw, was the God of this abyss, smiling with his eyes closed, then the door shut, ending his life for good.

That's when a familiar voice caught Matu's attention.

'Wake up, Matu! Wake up!'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matu's eyes once opened again and he sat up, knocking the cub off of his stomach and to the ground hard. He was breathing heavy, even sweating a little 'bout what was happening. He looked around, and he was still deep in the cave of Pride Rock. He checked outside of the cave, and light was coming out of it, meaning the sun was fully up in the sky, meaning it might be still morning or the afternoon. He looked to his side and saw his sword laying on the wall and his jacket on the ground, still looking a little damaged. With that, his heavy gaps were lowering down.

'It was just a nightmare,' he thought.

"Matu," the Princess said worried. Matu looked at Kiara calmed. "Matu, you were talking to yourself in your sleep. Are you ok?"

The teen just smiled, put her hand on her hand, rubbed it then said, "Yeah, I'm okay," with a smile. "But the truth was, he wasn't 'okay' at all. It's been one week ever since he came into the Pride Lands, and he kept having the same dream over and over again. It was just too much for him to go through over the past week, but it'll stop one day, if it does. Throughout the week, he had a chance to know the whole pride and a few things from Simba, who still doesn't trust him.

"All right," she said, acting satisfied with it. "Come on. Let's go outside and play," she said happily jumping around. With that, Matu got up with no problem. His wounds were healed up, but if he reaches a certain limit, they would start to hurt again. Any who, he putted on his red jacket, which has still damaged, grabbed his sword and took a look at it. It was a black, throat-guarded, semi-back-serrated, scimitar-like kind of sword with a cloth wrapped hanger leaving out of streamer, and it was a little damaged from here to there which made him shrug.

He decided to tie the streamer onto his pants. He failed many times, but he got it right the 5th time. With that, he said, "Ready."

"Yeah," Kiara said while running outside, followed by Matu. Kiara came out the happy excited and she was gazing down the side to see the land. When Matu came out, the sun was making his vision bad, so he covered his eyes until they adjust to the light.

"Wow," the Princess said in amazement as she looked out at what's going to be her own Kingdom soon.

"Wow, Indeed," the teen said behind her looking out to the savannah, smiling.

As Kiara was hopping down to the edge.

"Whoa," Simba's voice called out and that's when he grabbed Kiara by the scruff and placed her beside him softly. Kiara tried to run towards Matu, but he grabbed her. "Where do you think you're going in such a hurry?"

Kiara tried to get out of Simba's grasp. "Daddy," she said playfully. "Let go." She was still giggling, trying to escape.

Matu chuckled a little, then he stopped when the King gave a stern face towards Matu and looked back at Kiara, all nice and happy, leaving Matu stumped, and just stumped.

"I just want you to be careful," Simba said, concerned about her daughter.

Speaking of the Princess, she got out of Simba's grasp and tried to pounce a butterfly, but Simba stopped her by placing a paw on her, this time, and maybe, even more concern.

"Kiara," he started. "Are you listening? Accidents can happen."

'Here we go again with this,' Matu thought since he heard the same thing over and over again every day.

"You can get hurt or stepped-"

"Hurt, or stepped on," Kiara said following and finishing Simba's sentence. "Or even get lost."

"And remember," the King informed. " I want you to stay in sight of Pride Rock at all-"

"At all times," she finished again. "I get it. And if I see any strangers, don't talk to them. Come straight home," she completely finished. "Okay, okay. Can we go now? Please?"

"We," Simba questioned?

"Me and Matu are going to play," she said, afraid of what the King was going to say.

That's when Simba gave a stern look at the human who was standing a few feet away from Simba and Kiara, and still that look gave Matu a cold shiver in his spine. After a few seconds, the King sighed and looked at Kiara, his eye normal.

"Okay," he said happily.

"Yay," she said, while Matu again, was stumped, but in his mind, he imagined that Simba was to devour him and eat him up if anything happens to Kiara, probably good or bad. That's what made him grab his neck, and gulp in fear of what'll happen to him.

That's when Nala came and sat next to Simba, laughing gently. "Mind your father, Kiara."

"Yes, mom," Kiara responded.

"And stay out of the Outlands," Simba also instructed.

'Outlands,' Matu repeated in his head.

Zazu came in, landing beside Kiara. "Nothing there but a bunch of backstabbing, murderous Outsiders..." he said.

That's when those words made Matu actually think about what Hukumu said back in his weird, odd dream.

'Be careful of those who live at the outside of the land you live in,' the quote ringed in his head.

'Now I actually know. The Outsiders are those who I must beware of,' he thought to himself. 'But they might be some help if I get around with them easily.'

"Hey, Matu," Kiara called out, which made Matu come back to real life, looking at the cub. "Come on," she yelled out, running down the edge.

"Coming," he yelled out, following Kiara. When he was following Kiara, he passed Simba and turned his head to him quickly, looking at the angered King. It seemed like they were the only two there besides, Nala and Zazu. The King gave the usual, Make-sure-my-daughter-is-safe-look, towards him and Matu gave him a nod, looked out to the path and kept on following Kiara down the edge of Pride Rock.

"And stay on the path I've marked for you, Kiara" he yelled out, forming back to the concern father.

With that, Kiara and Matu went out into the plains to have some fun.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inside the cave of Pride Rock, some kind of shadow was lurking in there, with its red glowing eyes and sick smile and a chuckle.

"Let the plan... begin," it said, fading away after that last word.

Let the reviews pour in, please.

TLK: The Mysterious Human Hero Part 6
Outside in the wide lands of the Pride Lands, Matu and Kiara were playing with each other. Well, actually Kiara was chasing a butterfly while Matu was focusing about a few things.

'What do to? What to do?' The teen repeated in his head a few times. 'Should I go out in to the Outlands and become one of them, or stay with the Pride landers? Besides, maybe those guys might be important.'

'But Hukumu said to beware of them, but they might be a key to something. Getting you killed maybe? No, it's not that! Then what the hell is it?'

Matu kept fighting with himself, until he noticed something. Kiara was gone.

"Kiara," he called out, concerned. "Kiara?"

That's when he heard a scream coming across his ears. In fact, 3 screams, and he knows the sound of those screams. "Great." With that, Matu took off in the direction of the continuous screams until she spotted Kiara, Timon and Pumbaa a few yards away, and saw the cub on a rock, falling into a pool, then he saw Pumbaa jump!

"Not today," he said, running towards the three, making sure the Princess was safe, before he became the main course for the pride.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Oh no," Timon said, over exaggerating about what's happening, then he talked out loud like he was talking to Simba. "Hey, Simba. The great news is that we found your daughter, but the bad news is that we dropped a warthog on her. Is... That a problem?" Timon didn't dare answer, but in retrospect, yeah, that's a problem.

Pumbaa was in the water, looking around for the Princess. "Kiara? Kiara?" he kept calling out.

"Pumbaa," Tmion yelled, catching the malodorous warthog's attention. "Let me define, 'Babysitting'!

That's when Pumbaa heard some bubbles, he got up and found Kiara, who was under him in the water, breathing heavy then looking at the warthog with a mad look.

"Sorry," the warthog said giving an innocent look. The two went by to the shore near the pool. "Now, Princess Kiara..." he started. " As Simba's daughter, you know better than to go off all alone. You could have been hurt!"

"But... But..." Kiara stuttered.

"Kiara," a voice called out. It was Matu who was running towards the trio, going down to his knees. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," she responded. "Thanks to these two buffoons," referring to Timon and Pumbaa. "I almost drowned."

Matu shot the same look Kiara did at Pumbaa. This time, both of them gave an innocent look. "Sorry," they responded.

"Let me take a quick hint, Simba sent you guys here to make sure Kiara wasn't hurt," the teen questioned, giving a sly grin.

"Hurt! Oh... Simba would kill us," he yelled, ignoring Matu's question.

"Yep. He did," the teen said with a blank face.

"You didn't slip a disc, did you," he asked the cub.

"Bu-" Kiara tried to finish, but Timon kept on searching for any problems with him.

"Catch a fever," Timon asked. "Get a hangnail?" The cautious meerkat checked her paws, but Kiara pulled it away from her.

"Timon..." she wined.

"I had one once," Timon suspended Kiara.

"Very painful," Pumbaa agreed.

"Excruciating," switching to big words.

'How did Simba deal with these two,' Matu thought.

That's when he notices that the stubborn meerkat was a fern branch over the Princess's head, shading her.

"Darling," he started. "With your complexion, you should stay out of the sun."

"Give me that," Matu said, grabbing the branch and throwing it somewhere else.

"What," Timon said looking at the human. "You want her to have a wrinkle?"

"All I want is..."

"Guys," Kiara interrupted. "Would someone please just listen to me?" At least Matu could tell she was annoyed, but as for Timon...

"I'm Sorry," the meerkat said. "I wasn't listening. You were saying, Princess?"

"I'm not just a princess, you know," Kiara yelled out to Timon. "That's only half of who I am!"

"Dare I ask," Matu said.

"Who's your other half," Matu and Pumbaa asked in unison.

That question left Kiara bewildered. "Well... Um, I... Uh..."

"While you're figuring that out," Timon said, walking towards. "Let's eat!" With one snap, Pumbaa, using his horns lifted up the log beside of them. "Grubs!" Timon grabbed a few, and then Pumbaa dropped the log.

"The other white meat," the warthog replied.

"And so high in protein," Timon said, offering a leaf full of bugs and insects to Kiara, which the cub pushed away.

"Eww," she replied disguised. "Gross!"

"No," Timon said. "How about you, Matu," the meerkat held out the leaf to the human.

"One would do," the human suggested, grabbing one of the bugs, and eating it, leaving Kiara disgust.

"You eat bugs too," Kiara questioned disguised. "Since when?"

"I eat bugs when you're not around me," Matu replied. "Plus back home for a little snack when I got hungry, but my parents and friends never caught me!"

"Gross," she replied, even more disguised, but it was replaced when Pumbaa ate a bug, coughed it out with some spit and pieces of the bug were on the leaf, even making Timon grossed out.

"OH... You always do that," Timon said not satisfied, as usual. "You take a bite out of every one, and then put it back. It drives me crazy!"

"But you can't tell from the outside which are the real slimy ones," Pumbaa said happily.

"Slimy," Timon judged on that. "Pumbaa... my corpulent compadre. It's the crunchy ones that make the meal!"

That's when it broke it out into an argument against the two.

"Slimy," Pumbaa yelled.
"Crunchy," Timon yelled.
"Slimy," Pumbaa yelled.
"Crunchy," Timon yelled.

While the argument was going on between the two bug eaters, Kiara wandered off, and so far, those two didn't notice, but Matu noticed perfectly.

"Not this time," Matu mumbled as he past the two quietly and ran after Kiara again.
