Ok, here is my prequel to "Out of the Pridelands". My goal with this is to show how Scar became the way he is. I have never believed TLK: 6NA's buffalo horn story, so I made my own version of events. As for Ahadi, I decided to make him what I call "a decent king, but a fatally weak father", by which I mean that he does what shouldn't: play favorites with his son and treats Scar poorly because he was born scrawny and sickly and finally gives him his scar. Sorry the intro is so short. I will be updating at my leisure. Enjoy and no bashing or flaming please.

Introduction
King Ahadi paced outside the den as Uru delivered his heir inside. Although he was an infamously hot-tempered lion, Ahadi’s face currently showed genuine concern for his beautiful queen. Finally, one of the lionesses emerged.
“Your majesty, you have a healthy new son,” she said.
Ahadi rushed to where his mate was. A bundle of golden fur lay between her paws, contrasting sharply with Uru’s dark orange fur.
“Ahadi, meet your son,” she said.
Ahadi’s emerald eyes focused on the newborn cub. He felt a burst of fatherly pride.
“My son…” he said.
Uru smiled.
“What shall we name him?” she asked.
Ahadi thought for a long moment before he finally answered.
“Mufasa. His name will be Mufasa,” the black-maned lion answered.
Just then, Ahadi’s majordomo, a female hornbill named Zuzu, arrived on the scene.
“Congratulations, Sire. Shall I go and fetch Hekima?” the female bird asked.
“Yes, it is time for his presentation ceremony,” Ahadi replied.
Zuzu left to accomplish her mission, accompanied by her exceedingly proper son Zazu. Ahadi, as was custom, went to the edge of Pride Rock and roared to call the animals to the ceremony. As the animals arrived, Hekima, a wise and kind old female mandrill, and her grown son, Rafiki, arrived. When all the inhabitants of Ahadi and Uru’s kingdom were assembled, Hekima painted a stripe of juice across Mufasa’s forehead and anointed him with dust. The mandrill then held the newborn cub up for all of the animals to see. They bowed, just as they had when Hekima’s father had presented Ahadi. After the ceremony, the royal family returned to its den. The days started to go by, and Mufasa began to become more and more active. Ahadi couldn’t have been more proud. For the time being, his hair-trigger temper seemed to have had subsided.
“He will make a great king one day, that I am sure of,” Ahadi stated as he watched his son.
However, the family had no idea of the trouble that would soon come upon them.
