Chapter 1
"Taka!" Said Y'sena, pouncing on her older brothers shoulders "You're going to be late" The young cub was obviously more excited than the older lion, Taka. Today was the day their oldest brother Mufasa would become King of the Pridelands. Taka stretched and groaned "Ahh, Sena, I don't want to go" He said, finally getting to his paws. "Oh, don't be such a grump. I know you wanted to be King, but you're the King's brother! That's a big thing! All the animals will respect you just as much"
"Pfft" Taka snorted "If I want recognision, I'll have to go out and get a pride of my own"
"Then do that!" Huffed Y'sena, getting irratated with Taka's stubborness.
"No" He answered
"Gr, fine! But you're coming to see Mufasa"
Taka rolled his eyes and started yo walk down from his ledge "Urg, my back" He muttered under his breath,
The sunrise had turned the sky a brilliant pinky blue and it was already starting to get warm. Mufasa stood at the entrance of his Fathers cave, with Sarabi and waited for the old lions to emerge. He grinned as his parents stepped from the cave "Excited?" asked his mother.
"oh, very much!" Said Mufasa, nuzzling her.
Ahadi's smile soon turned to a frown when he realised Taka and Y'sena had not turned up yet, even the Hippo were there and they were known for being late! If they weren't there soon, there'd be trouble! No sooner had Ahadi though this, than an excited Y'sena and a very grumpy Taka appeared over the ledge "Morning Mum! Sorry we're late, grouchy face wouldn't get up"
"Sure, blame it on me" Taka said, under his breath.
"OOK! Time for the ceremony!" Said Uru, before an argument broke out, ushering Mufasa, Sarabi and Ahadi up the slope, to the tip of Pride Rock. Uru and Ahadi stood and looked over their old Kingdom and saw a familiar sight, Rafiki, the old Monkey coming to crown the new King and Queen! He soon reached the top and gave both Mufasa and Ahadi a hug. "Welcome" Said Ahadi.
