Sorry, guys, but I think I need to go on a temporary hiatus with my story.

I'm really struggling to pull chapter 7 together, despite the fact that it's almost done, and my life is full of nothing but writing at the moment. I need a break, to step back, take a breath, and calm down before I get ahead of myself and end up doing something stupid in my desperatin to keep Lost Rogue going.

I am NOT abandoning the story...I am much too proud of what I've done so far to do that...I just need a break from writing, that's all.

It probably won't be too long, either. A week is the minimum...a couple of months the predicted maximum break. Writing is my passion, but I've learned from the mistakes of others that using your passion as your only way of passing the time can lead to a disasterous falling-out with said passion (in other words, if I write too much, which I have been, I'm a huge risk of getting so sick of it that I start to hate it).

Again, I'm sorry. But there are plenty of other fan fictions around here at the moment, pass the time with those while I get my old fire and passion back. Or just speculate on waht could happen next, the first 6 chapters have left quite a few clues!

I'll still check up on this from time to time, and during my hiatus may find the time to get a few paragraphs down every now and again. But this is a warning that I'll be doing pretty much no writing for some time.

That's fine, do what you need to do. Breaks are a necessity sometimes.

Good luck! Hope you get the muse back soon. Just pace yourself. Wouldn't want you tiring yourself out of writing by any means.

Thanks, it usually comes back pretty fast when this happens.

But then, I've never gone on a...must be about 300,000-words...stint before (that equates to about a 1000-page novel, guys).

sheesh, now that I think about, I probably need this break more than I realised...even though I'm sitting here, a day later, bored out of my mind with nothing to do.

Alrighty, guys!

It's a week on from my self-imposed break, and I've got my creative spark back!

Chapter 7's already up there, waiting for you, and Chapter 8's already making some progress, so I think we can expect some pretty fast chapters over the next few days.

One minor hitch: For those of you who don't know, I'm currently delving into the wonderful world of RPing, and I must say, I'm having a absolute blast with it! So right now, the RP I'm currently engaged in is taking priority over this fan fic, which could slow things down a bit, depending on the activity level the RP's getting.

Still, it means I've found something else with which to occupy my time, which should really help me keep my writing going now!

Oh, thank you, Dutch!

You have absolutely no idea how long I've been looking for a solution to that issue! It was starting to get annoyed with how much it was stretching myself. Given how many chapters this story's going to be, it may still end up doing that (depending on just how long it takes before the edit function refuses to accept any more letters into the post), but at least it will not be anywhere near as severe as before!

And it's already been done, too!

i just read the first chapter, i'd read the whole thing if i had the time to right now. I think this story is going to be an amazing read (and now i'm kind of mad at myself for starting knowing i don't have the time to read the other chapters...) i'm definitely looking forward to the next chapters!

And Chapter 8 is now up, too! And with chapter 8, my story is now the equivalent of 100 pages long...so I congratulate everyone who has stuck with this far and remind that yes, we're just getting started, and we are in for the long haul on this one!

Chapter 9 will be a flashback...those who have read the chapter will know what it's going to show us.
