Beyond Dreams: Change of the Zeda

"DAD!" Bluu called his paws quivering as his father went through the last fight of the young lion couple. The king was tired of his former mate and left, leaving behind his teenaged son Bluu and brother Lucas who was only a week younger than Bluu. "Bluu." The queen of the Zeda pride said to her eldest son. Bluu had a tear roll down his face as he ran into the den. Lucas or as Bluu always called him Luca, stood tall and looked at his father from the side of his mother who he now was a bit taller than his mom, "Coward." Lucas said commenting on his father leaving, "Only a coward would leave his family just because of a stupid fight!" He shouted hoping his father would hear.

One full year later

"Mom the Socio pride is coming in." Luca stated poking his mother with a paw as she stared at a formal rival pride coming into the territory. "Luca, I'm going with them, you and your brother need to take over these lands and become the kings your father never was. The love of my life is in that pride and I need to go with him it's a once in a lifetime chance." She said turning to her son before looking up slightly unable to look straight into his eyes now that he was taller than her,"Get Bluu and I will say goodbye, you can always visit me, and I'll come visit too. Be a good prince." She said before seeing Bluu step out of the den, his black thick mane blowing in the rough winds, "Bluu, Luca, I'm leaving now, I love you both and I want you
to remember that you are the best things to ever happen to me and I just have to go if I want to be with my love. You understand right?" She asked. "Mom, as long as your happy." Bluu replied. "Mother, as long as you love him and us, you can go because I know this is a one time chance." Lucas said before nuzzling his mother his dark dark brown curly mane mixing with his mothers scruffy fur. "I love you." Lucas said before pulling away and walking over to the male his mother was leaving with. Bluu looked at his mother, "I'm gonna miss ya." he said before nuzzling his mother and leading her to the pride she was leaving with.
Luca stared down at the lion that his mother was leaving with, "So Abbas, you're taking my
mom away?" He asked. "Take care of her or I'll have to break your face in." Bluu threatened before smiling slyly next to his brother, "Luca go hunt down some food for the lioness's and I'll go tell them what's going on." Bluu ordered his first act as king. "Mom, I'll cya soon." The two lions said at the same time before turning away and walking separate ways to fulfill the orders of the pride. A tear ran down there mother face before she and the pride that came for her migrated north to the new territory.
Meanwhile Lucas was hunting down a strayed zebra. But when he tried to get it, it found its
heard and went back. He stood up with a smile, "Guess I never learned how to hunt too well." He said to himself. A rustle in the brush was heard before a tan lioness came out of it ready to attack, "Well hey there, happen to know where my prey went?" He asked still wanting to get it the lioness crouched ready to attack unhappy that this lion came into her small territory which she lived in alone. "No, yet I suggest you leave my territory before this gets ugly." The lioness snapped. "Sorry, I'll get going." He said putting a paw back and stepping the same way
as his paw a bit. "Good choice." She said returning to normal and then sat to watch the
intruder walk away. "Wait!" She called, "I live here alone, and I don't usually have anyone visit or come in, why don't you stay for a while." She said. "I thought you wished for me to leave?" Lucas asked. "Well I guess I found a loophole Mr. genie." She joked. "I'm Stella." She said standing up once again but in a nonthreatening position. "I'm Prince Lucas, but you can just call me Luca." He replied sitting infront of the lioness. "You're really sweet, most lions like
you would just growl and fight, you really care." She stated. "What do you mean 'Like me'?" He
asked. "Handsome." She said softly. "Thanks, most lioness's will avoid me in my pride because
of my timid personality and apparently they think I am not brave." Luca replied. "Well I think you're brave trying to hunt down that young Zebra all by yourself. Why don't I help you hunt it." She suggested. "Sure, I kinda need it to bring it back to my pride. You see my brother is the new king and he asked me to get some dinner for our small pride. I guess if you help me
catch it, you can eat with us." Luca said. "Thanks, it gets kind of lonely out here." She replied before sprinting off to catch the zebra. Luca followed behind running a bit slower. Before Luca knew it she had caught the zebra and dragged it to him. "Thanks." Luca said after Stella
had dropped the zebra, Luca picked it up and then threw it onto his strong back. "So Luca what pride are you from." Stella asked as the two began to walk towards the south, "I'm from
the Zeda pride, my older brother Bluu became the new king this mornin'." the young prince replied. "Why aren't you king? You're so sweet and seem very nice." Stella said. "My brothers the king." Lucas replied. "My brothers the king I'm his majordomo and the next heir, thats it."
He added.
"Look Stella how come you live by yourself, a pretty lioness like you shouldn't be alone, some'll jump ya if you keep to yourself." Lucas said. "My mother and father left me when I was younger and I kept to myself and only one lion my whole life, and then he broke my heart, he left me for another lioness, I was heart broken and no longer part of a pride so I left, and this is who I am now." Stella said. "But you, you seem different, you seem like, like I
already know you like I can already tell who you are like I met you already." She said. "So Stella do you want to stay over in my pride, the crazy monkey in our territory said it's gonna
rain? You've helped me get food so i kinda owe you." He asked. "You have to take me to dinner before you take me home." She joked. Lucas stopped walking and Stella sat next to him once he had sat, "Why are we stopping? I thought it was gonna rain?" She asked. "Here's dinner." Luca said dropping the zebra infront of Stella. "You're too cute Luca." She said before
leaning down and biting into the neck of the zebra. "Well thank ya." He replied before digging in right next to her. They both lifted there heads, "You're really cool Stell." Luca said before noticing blood from the zebra on her cheek it was a great excuse for him to lick her, "You got
something on your cheek." Lucas said before leaning in and licking her cheek. "I couldve got that it was right next to my mouth." She said smiling. Lucas blushed before Stella leaned in and touched noses with Luca, "I feel like I've known you forever, you told me everything about you, in one hour." She said her nose still touching his. "Stella will you come home with me?"
He asked stepping over the zebra noticing the zebra he dropped was on the border of Zeda
lands and the wild open. "Okay." She said stepping over the zebra like he did. The two started to walk away before Stella smiled and said, "Didn't you need to being that to your family?" She asked. "It's midnight, they're not going to want to eat now." He said knowing it was midnight because the nocturnal animals were out. "Luca!" A deep voice roared as it came from the den, "Where the hell have you been? And who is she, like we don't have enough mouths to feed." Bluu growled. Lucas looked into the eyes of his brother, Lucas was a little bit taller than his older brother but Bluu didn't care, "Bluu, this is Stella." Luca said. "She's gonna take mom's spot as the lead of the huntress's." He added.
