Main Plot:

Kovu and Kiara live a perfect life and have a little cub named Kivuli. Kivuli is sick and tired of
being pushed around in his home and runs away. Kivuli meets a pack of outlanders that remained
and joins their pride. Kovu and Kiara go back and try to convince Kivuli to come back to the pride.
But Kivuli is different from the sweet and playful cub of his youth......

[LadyAnette]

Kovu stretched lazily in the cool den on Pride Rock. Kiara had been pregnant for a few months and could be delivering any minute. Kovu's green eyes sparkled at the thought of a lovely, tender, little cub laying in his mate's paws. He shuddered with delight as he brought his claws out and put them back in as he stretched his body. He shook himself and his fur poofed into little hair strands. The lion yawned a huge yawn that was half so and half roar. He looked across at the vast bodies of lionesses who were still asleep and dreaming happy thoughts. He grinned happily. He was expecting a 'visit' from one of the former lionesses. Simba and Nala had retired from their reign as queen and king and were old lions in the Pride. A lowely rank in the lion's pride. Kovu gazed at his sleeping mate fondely. He licked her cheek affectionately and retired out into the cool fog.

The misty fog sent wonderful shivers up his spine in a delightful whim. Kovu sniffed the air, the coolness of the moring flooded through his nose delightfuly. He walked out onto the rising platform on Pride Rock. His feet giving a soft pitter-patter. He gazed down onto the horizon. The sun was rising and sending golden rays reflecting off water and sending dimples on the yellow grass dimpling. He sighed and smiled at his home. What a wonderful sight. The antelope were grazing on the dewy grass and crunching away, keeping a close eye on their young babes, who were frolicking about playfully in the sun. Home.

Kovu walked down Pride Rock and silently trotted to a pool of water further down the way. He bent down his head, his mane dripping into the water and getting it wet. The lion's tongue flickered in and out, carrying little drops of life-giving water with it. The coolness yet warmth of the morning raidiated off his back. It's good to be alive!

[Polkadot]

Nala awoke.

The once youthful, striking lioness had aged gracefully into an elderly beauty, watching from the sidelines as her daughter took her royal position. Nala's heart thrummed with joy - she had survived to see her daughter, once a tiny cub cradled in her arms, blossom into a knowledgeable, sensible Queen. It was the ultimate satisfaction.
Nala glanced at Simba - she could feel his body heat beside her. The retired King still had his eyes shut, his age clearly visible.
The retired Queen stood silently, careful not to wake her husband. She then padded out of Pride Rock's hollow, passing many lionesses; slowly but surely. Nala, now in her elderly years, liked to savour every moment - her time was coming to end, and she intended to enjoy life until then.
The cream-coloured lioness flicked her tail as she reached the tip of Pride Rock - memories flashed behind her eyes. Her, standing with Simba for the first time after Scar was killed - Rafiki, lifting Kopa to the inhabitants of their Kingdom - Rafiki, lifting Kiara to the inhabitants of their Kingdom - standing for the last time with Simba and announcing their retirement. With a gentle smile, Nala descended Pride Rock to ground level, intending to take a morning walk. It would make her alert

Walking with her back to Pride Rock, Nala pressed forwards.

Oh, and what was this? A brown-furred Lion was situated by the pool - the one and only Kovu, the new King of the Pridelands, and her daughter's husband. Nala started to approach him for a lighthearted chat.

One of Simba's old eyes flickered open as it gazed around the den. Something was different. He glanced around as he noticed that something was missing. Finally his eye noticed that his mate was not there. Nala. Looking around more, he saw Nala sitting outside the den watching the sunrise. He slowly lifted up his paws as he got up. Simba stretched his achy, old limbs. He yawned a roar as his mouth opened up, showing his white teeth. He walked into the warm sunlight and quietly sat beside his mate. Simba looked at her and asked her slowly,

"What are you doing here so early?"

His large figure slowly inched towards her's as he gently licked her on the cheek.

Nala smiled at her husband, accepting the lick on the cheek and returning it with a nuzzle. Simba's mane felt old and weathered, yet still comforting, just like that first day in the jungle.
"Oh, just... enjoying this lovely morning." She sighed, flicking her tail. "It's hard to believe, after all this time, we've raised Kiara and gone through so much... and now, now she's pregnant with her own cub. It's extraordinary."
Nala started to move from her place, eyeing Kovu, who she'd spotted down below. Descending Pride Rock, and beckoning her husband, she walked stealthily towards the young male.

Kiara's eyelids slowly rised as the morning sun began to fill the cool den. She let a small yawn escape her muzzle as she proceeded to look around at her near all-too familiar surroundings. A couple lionesses were lazing about in the warmth of the sun at the opening of the den, including Vitani. Over the time the Outlanders had joined the pride she had grown close to Vitani and considered her as a sister. Kiara slowly stretched out her lean limbs and rised to join the lazy lionesses.

Just as she made her way over Vitani's ears pricked up and she rose to wish Kiara a good morning.
Hey, Kiara, Wanna go down the waterhole later.. Ya know just for a sunbathe and a cool down when it gets to hot
Vitani had a cheeky grin on her face. She considered Kiara as a sister too, and she found it hard to get close to her because of her trust issues.
You know I love that cheeky grin, lets head off just now. Can you stay close though... I have no idea when this cub's gonna come along.

The two lionesses headed off to the Waterhole, side-by-side, discussing the cub & other issues around the Kingdom
