Kiburi panted as she had just finished giving birth within the dark and termite infested den. Several outlanders were gathered around the dark queen and looked to the small tawny ball of fur between Kiburi's paws. Kiburi smiled as she began to lick the newborn clean. "My little Tume. Yo-You will be the key to that tyrant's downfall." Kiburi cooed, referring to Kovu as the tyrant. Her ears pricked as she heard the strong paw steps of her mate, Adhabu. Kiburi turned her head slightly and grinned tiredly and devilishly at Adhabu.
Adhabu had come back with a gazelle over his back. He dropped it to the ground quickly, and the other outlanders jumped at it. He didn't pay mind to them since the news of his newborn son was what he was truly focused on. "His name?" Adhabu asked boldly as he moved in front of Kiburi, leaning down to gaze at the puff ball.
"Tume." Kiburi said in monotone, as she nuzzled Adhabu. Adhabu smirked broadly.
"You my dear have given us another warrior, born to fight!" Adhabu purred. Kiburi smirked wide, and felt her eyes droop slightly. "Nurse him, and take a rest. We are one step closer...to bringing an end to Kovu and his filthy queen." Adhabu growled as he pushed some of the outlanders off the gazelle and began to feast on his portion.
"Adhabu, what do you have planned for the king?" Huruma said as she quietly made her way alongside Adhabu who was savagely tearing at the meat.
"Plan? Those worked SO well for my dear grandmother didn't they? Scheming like a rat after scrap!" Adhabu snorted.
"I truly advise that you think more deeply before acting Adhabu. Every action has a reaction, and the action effects the reaction." Huruma explained quietly as she stared blankly into the sky.
"She has a point my dear. What would be the point of having this cub, if he is just going to go give his life and be killed?" Kiburi asked, almost making Tume sound like an object. Adhabu closed his eyes for a moment and chuckled.
"Oh well. Got to think of a plan then won't I?" Adhabu said as he scratched his chin.
