Basic Rules for the actual RP:
I'm sure I don't need to review this, as these are mostly the same as the site. Please keep it PG-13, which means:
- No excessively vulgar or offensive language or topics. I'm sure you know the drill and can filter for yourself what is and is not considered "offensive" to an English speaker. Just do use common sense, and don't use those four letter words.
- No graphic gore or sexual content. So no lemons or extreme bloodshed. You can hint around to romance/fighting, but please don't have characters getting horizontal and such.
Also, as my own personal additions:
- Please use grammar and spelling to the best of your ability. This isn't school - everyone makes mistakes, and some people are better at spelling than others. It should simply be good enough so that other roleplayers are able to at least understand you.
- Please indicate when you're OOC. Pretty self-explanatory. I would like for this RP to flow as smoothly as possible. Side chatter/socialization is alright, but should be marked and kept to a minimum.
I believe that covers everything. Have fun, enjoy the story, and we can start whenever you guys are ready.

EDIT: Since this RP thread was my idea, I suppose I should start it in order to get us all introduced to the universe. So here we go.
------------------------
A long time ago, bordering a vast desert and widely scoping jungles beneath the rocky foothills of Kilimajaro, whose snowmelt helped to feed the long, brawling rivers and whose presence inspired awe in all who cared to gazed upon it, there was a rock, of a peculiar sort. It jutted out from the landscape, long and tall and completely alone... and upon this rock lay a kingdom. It existed in an idyllic sort of microcosm, a small and mostly isolated universe whose inhabitants lived in a balance with their neighbors, where food was plentiful and life was usually peaceful.
That is not to say that times were always like this, but on the whole the community was one of cooperation and friendship, where mutual respect held the whole of their spinning world together. The kingdom was in a time of prosperity, and its rulers - the strong, mighty lions whose ancestors had migrated to the Rock a long time prior - were a compassionate and generous bunch whose hearts were as warm as the summer sun.
Ahadi was one such example.
His time to rule had just begun, and so his reign was still in its infant, fledgling stages. Like the dawn of a new day, there were infinite possibilities, many new hopes and dreams and desires to be planned and fulfilled alongside his newly-wedded mate and queen - Uru. Yes, it was a new day, and there was much to see and do in this world. There would be responsibilities ahead, and trials of all sorts. This much he knew, even without the acute knowledge of the dark events the future had in store for him or the role he was fated to play in the great Circle. But if there was one thing he'd learned from his predecessor, it was to always treasure the small, good moments in life, too.
It was one of those lovely, lazy, laconic mornings. Could he go on a walk, perhaps, with his darling mate? Maybe have a drink at the waterhole with his friends? Talk to Zuzu about her routine morning flight?
There was much to decide, and much to fill in the now-uncertain future. But the new king tackled it with optimism - why not?

OOC: Not all posts have to be this length, though mine are probably going to be at least this long, if not longer. The main question I want to ask at this point is if Mohatu is still going to be alive in this story. What do you guys think?
