A pair of grass green eyes surveyed the Savannah. An early morning breeze tickled his ears, and a yawn emitted from his muzzle. It was early morning, and Kiongozi, or Kion to his mate and allies, was awake and ready to do some more traveling. Him and his mate Malkia, were looking for a place to live. A place to start a pride and a family. So far, they had no such luck. But the day before, Kiongozi spotted a large rock far off in the distance and wanted to investigate.

Now it was morning, he waited for a his mate to wake up. He didn't want to wake her up from her peaceful sleep, so instead he watched over her. He smiled, he loved her dearly. The two would need to find something to eat, or go on a hunt before continuing. But for now, Kiongozi relaxed in the morning sun shaded the tree they had fell asleep under.

Malkia's took a deep breath as she felt herself waking up, opening her eyes slightly to find her mate, Kiongozi, smiling down at her. She yawned, stretching her front legs in front of her, before affectionately slipping her head beneath his chin, smiling before speaking: "Good morning, early bird."

Malkia then pulled herself up, stretching her weary legs, for they'd been travelling quite a while in hopes of finding a territory of their own. They were yet to get lucky but she was feeling optimistic at the sight of the rock-structure on the horizon that Kion had spotted the previous day.

----

Kerubi walked slowly through the desert, finding it increasingly hard to put one foot in front of the other. The young lioness was exhausted - she'd only been on her own for a matter of weeks but rogue life was harder than she'd first anticipated. Kerubi found hunting was much harder when you didn't have a spare set of paws helping you bring down prey and on the off chance she caught something, it was then a race to eat before the scavengers came in. It had become worse as she reached the desert and now whatever direction she looked, the dark lioness couldn't seem to find anything that gave her hope - just the occasional tree that she took delight in resting under, and every now and then a puddle of water that she fought to reach. She knew she needed to find something beyond this desert soon, or she surely wouldn't survive...

Ajali was already awake early morning, with her friend Zalkia. "We need to keep moving." Her soft toned voice emitted from her light brown muzzle. "A pride should be near here, such beautiful lands." Gasping at the lands that lay in front of her, just past the tall grass they paced through. Ajali was tired, but wouldn't stop and rest until a pride was found.

"Wow! Zalkia, look!" Using her dark nose to point at the large pointed rock. "Its gorgeous!" Stopping in her tracks and letting all the sight in. Such beauty was left untouched, for so many years.

Kiongozi smiled and nuzzled her head lovingly,
"Good morning to you too". He stood up to let out a loud yawn and to stretch his hind legs, now that his mate was awake, he could make as much noise as he wanted. "Well then, I think we should go and find some food. I saw a herd of gazelle pass earlier, we could probably catch them up".

Zalkia was walking along with her good friend Ajali. It was early morning, and there was a nice breeze in the air. Good thing they had gotten up early before the sun had reached it's high peak. When Zalkia heard her friend tell her to look at something she eagerly turned her head to look at whatever Ajali was seeing. And there, in the distance, was a large rock. It stood out and looked so majestic and wonderful. Zalkia's eyes widened and a smile spread out on her face. "Oh my! Oh my! We gotta go there! It looks wonderful! It's perfect! Ajali, we NEED to go there!" The chatty lioness began saying immediately, the excitement was clear in her eyes and expressions.

Malkia grinned playfully at her mate, before starting run off, shouting behind her: "I bet I'll catch them first!" She knew Kiongozi was faster, but she hoped the head start might give her the advantage. She laughed happily, glad that she had Kion to make the rogue life easier - without him she wouldn't be able to enjoy life on the move. She watched as her mate sped past her but began to slow down as she spotted the gazelle up ahead - she tried to signal to Kion to slow down.

(OOC: Don't forget that Malkia and Kion get there first guys! And there's about half a day's difference in the times they get there)

Kion growled playfully and bounded after. The two lions were no longer teenagers, but adults. However, they liked to play around like teens. He soon passed her, and only just managed to stop before getting spotted by the gazelle. He crouched down and whispered to Malkia, who had caught him up.
"Hey, that one has a limp, it should be easy to catch", he said, signalling to a weak gazelle. He started to sneak up on it from the side, he gave a nod of the head to say to pounce now and he'll ambush it.

Malkia followed her mate's guidance, knowing he was more capable than most males when it came to hunting. At the signal to punce, she leant back on her haunches to build the power in her legs before launching herself onto the injured gazelle - immediately causing the rest to scramble. She held on to the target, locking her joys to prevent it from moving and waiting for Kion to deliver the fatal blow.

Kion watched on in the few moments it took for Malkia to latch onto they're prey. He waited for the right moment and leaped forward, jaws clamped around the gazelle's neck. His body weight pulled it down to the ground as he nodded, to tell Malkia it was ok to let go. His jaws remained fastened around the neck of the gazelle as he watched the rest of the herd run away in the distance. Letting go when the body went lifeless, he smiled.
"That was over quickly, lucky for us the wind was in the opposite direction and we weren't noticed".

"That... And I managed to stop you from charging right into the middle of them," Malkia teased, licking a little blood from his nose and smiling. She then turned her attention to the now dead gazelle and used her teeth to pull the fur out, not particuarly enjoying a mouth full of fluff. She couldn't help but take two or three mouthfuls before actually chewing - it had been a couple of days since they'd caught a good meal, a down side of being a rogue.
