Simba had a feeling he wanted to stay, and he was happy that he could help him. He wanted to know more about Nemesis and why he was so angry. Maybe in the morning he would ask.

The fight continued but Malaika was two much for the two. Exhausted but she still managed to pin them again. "You want more?" she panted heavily at them.

Nemesis felt exhausted, and he already fell asleep nearly after a few minutes when he touched the ground.

Zira looked surprised at Malaika's fighting skills. ''Fine, let's put up the pressure. Digger and Lazy Eye... GO!'' Two more outlander lionesses joined the fight, and pounced on Malaika's back when her guard was down. ''Come on mother, give her a break.. she already proved that she was a good fighter.'' Kovu told his mother.

Simba waited until the rest of the pride fell asleep before drifting off. He couldn't help but wonder what the lion could of done to think that he was worthless.

Malaika feeling and looking exhausted after the last fight, readied herself again for another fight. She knew she wouldn't have enough energy to take on another lion let alone two.

Nemesis is sleeping on his side with his face turned towards the wall. ''Forgive me mother, It's all my fault...'' He muttered in his sleep.

Zira watched, while both Spotty and Dotty, and Lazy eye and Digger prepared for another assault on Malaika. But before they would move, Kovu jumped in front of Malaika to protect her. ''Enough, mother! Can't you see she's exhausted?! She already proved herself!'' He yelled towards Zira. ''Fine, welcome to the outlander pride.... For now.'' Zira said to Malaika, while calling Spotty, Dotty, Lazy eye, and Digger back.

Simba not quite asleep, heared from across the den Nemesis muttering about his mother and it was his fault. He thought maybe he just was having a bad dream or something. He then laid his head down next to Nala's and fell asleep.

Malaika was happy, she hadn't felt this way in some time. She was happen that Kovu had stepped in mostly because she knew that she wouldn't win against two more. "Thanks Kovu, for giving me a chance, for everything." she said

After sleeping for hours, Nemesis would be the first to wake up from all the pride, just before sunrise. He quietly got up and walked out of the den, and sits down near the edge of Pride Rock, thinking about his past.

''No problem. Just stay out of my mother's way, and I'm sure you'll do fine.'' Kovu replied.

Simba couldn't sleep well all night, he woke up and looked around the den. Nemesis wasn't inside, he got up and began to walk out. It was just about sunrise and he could barely see. Then he spotted the lone lion sitting at the edge of Pride Rock alone starring out into the distance. "Is something wrong?" Simba asked

"Why is your mother so mean?" she asked still panting from the fight.

Nemesis turned to look at Simba. ''Oh it's you... no, nothing is wrong.'' He replied, hiding things for himself.

''Eh, well... long story. my mother is obsessed about avenging the death of an evil lion called Scar, who used to be king of the pridelands.'' He replied back to Malaika.

Simba saw that there was indeed something wrong, "That doesn't sound like nothing, you can tell me." he told the lion

Malaika didn't understand still but she nodded her head and dropped it. She found herself a spot to lay down and rest, she was tired after the fight. She closed her eyes, she hoped just for a minute, but ended up falling asleep there until the next morning.

Nemesis looked up at simba, hiding his sadness. ''Nothing, just leave me be''. he replied while he walked off to hunt for his own breakfast.

Kovu layed down close next to Malaika to keep her safe, and he fell asleep as well after a while.
