Nova and Neo

Neo got up Neo's uncle who had been traning him fianlly let him go out on a patrol alone....however he did specify to go to the elephant graveyard to prove his bravery. "Easy" he confidently said to himself the lion who could just be called a adult got up walking though his uncle's land.

Nova was wandering the wilds. She had left her former pride as she hated the idea of being the next queen. Heir to the throne all her life. She'd had enough. At the dead of night she had slunk away from her family, cutting all emotional ties with them. She didn't care. She wanted to live, not be forced to stay and look after her pathetic excuse for a pride.

She was wandering into a dark, lonely place which looked like an elephant grave yard. She sighed and walked in. She wasn't scared.

Neo proceeded into the elepahnt graveyard the scents of hyena's were rife.

Suddenly, a cackling noise from behind him made him whip around. It was a hyena.

"What do you want, scum?"

Several more sets of glowing eyes emerged from behind a pile of bones, and as Mufasa looked around he could see that more were beginning to circle around him. He tried to growl, but he became uncertain when even more began to appear. There must have been about twenty or more, each one laughing and moving steadily towards him. He tensed his muscles, and prepared to fight. He kept turning round to try and face them all at once, but it was too difficult, and they were all getting closer by the second.

All of a sudden, there was a ferocious snarl from behind him. He whirled around to face the attack head on. He had turned in time to have a hyena land on his back, and then, without warning, they descended upon him. He roared in pain as what seemed like thousands of teeth began to tear into his flesh. He slashed at them with his claws, but it was getting hard to see. He shook the blood out of his eyes and tore the hyenas from his body, rearing up whist he did so. His body was slowly getting more and more fatigued, and he was losing more and more blood every second. There were just too many for him to fight off. Still, he valiantly fought on, grabbing a hyena by the neck and flinging it away. It hit the ground, yelping. It sprawled across the dirt before running away into the darkness.

Nova walked along the elephant graveyard, highly alert. She hated this place already and the stench of hyena made her feel sick. Then, one of the vile beasts ran past her. She snarled and blocked it's path.

"Im sorry, your friend made us" It whimpered, before, leaping around Nova and vanishing into the darkness once more.

"Friend?" Nova said to herself.

She shook her head and continued, but before long the scent of blood caught her attention. She wasn't sure who's blood it was. Maybe the hyena's had made a kill. She licked her muzzle at the prospect of eating. She had run for miles without eating, only stopping to drink or catch her breath. She smirked and trotted towards the scene unawares.

Neo fought harder and harder wounds of all shapes and size's had opended on his body but he had eventuailly fought his way up.The hyena's watched their dead or dying comrades they had lost the number advantage but Neo was still standing standing and smiling. "Who's next"he said darkly the surving hyena's ran away yelping.

Nova kept her head down and her movement was silent as she followed the scent of blood. She could then hear the yelping of hyena's and she had to leap out the way as wounded hyena's ran past her. She growled with disgust before walking towards the wounded Neo. She caught sight of him and panicked. Maybe he was a spy sent by her father. Maybe he was here to take her home. She growled with frustration and hid behind a rock, but caught a loose piece of stone which fell down towards Neo.

"Damn it" She whispered to herself.

"Yeah just run and ya know what"he grabbed the body of a dead hyena "take your friend with ya" he threw it at them before starting to calm down. He collapsed on his side panting it was only then he felt something fall on his head. He got up seeing a lioness "Hey there"he smilled

Nova snarled and raised her hackles, baring her teeth. She'd been spotted.

"Your not taking me back to my pride! Who put you up to following me?! My father?"

She leapt down off the rock and walked up to Neo, still growling.

Neo looked at her a eyebrow raised ""Well hello to you too"

"Your pride no I havn't been assigned to any mission I'm not even aware about you"

He backed away slightly at her growl.

Nova smirked, somewhat satisfied with Neo backing away from her. She was smaller than he was, but she had been taught to fight like a lion. Though, this lion was wounded and if her father had sent him, why would he be further away from the pride than she was?

Nova stopped growling, but she still looked angry.

"Who are you then?" She demanded.
