Pride and Discrimination (Private ~ Kopalover)

Plot ~
Two cubs with similar problems. A female called Chafu is bullied, even by her own father, about the colour of her fur. A male called Lui is discriminated against the fact he's part leopard. Chafu run's away and Lui leaves his adoptive parents, and there paths collide. Lui teaches Chafu how to be herself, and to have fun again, the two fall in love and have two cubs, one male, one female. But how will life go from there? Will they find a pride? Will they're cubs learn to deal with bullies and be themselves? What happens when they hear news that a gang of male lions are out to eliminate anyone who doesn't live up to their standards?

Storyline for Part 1 ~
Chafu, Lui and Ubaguzi get introduced
Chafu and Lui are bullied
Ubaguzi finally cracks and has a huge go at his daughter for being the way she is after she says his stripes aren't holy

"I don't want to go out today...I really don't"...

It was early morning and a lonely 1 year old cub was laying in her cave, she didn't want to face her bullies today, or the neglection she got from her father.
However, Chafu thought if she didn't go, everyone would think she was scared. The striped lion cub got up and stretched out, yawning as she did so. She padded towards the cave opening, hoping by some miracle the trio of bullies would be ill today.

Ubaguzi was waiting for her at the front of the den, once she came in sight, he growled. "You are LATE. What makes you think that you can sleep in while the others are working away to make this pride great?" Yelling at Chafu as his electric green eyes screamed hatred towards her. "Can't you just do anything right?" Sighing under his breath and looking at the ground. "Now go. Lui is waiting for you at the making of the new den." Putting his stuck up nose high in the air while Chafu didn't move a bit. "I said GO!" His voice echoing through the trees.

Meanwhile, a small cub named Lui stood near the new den. Patiently waiting for Chafu to arrive, so he wouldn't have to work alone. The bullies were walking and laughing as Lui jumped behind a bush to hid from them. "Where's Chafu?" He asked himself, still looking through the bushes at the bullies as they past.

Chafu jumped at his words and walked away quickly, she could never do anything right for her father...all she really wanted was his approval. She had a few tears in her eyes, she always did after trying to talk with him. She was looking at a group of birds while still walking, bad mistake. For she bumped straight into Lorcan, Lysander and Lucien, the three who always bullied her and her only friend Lui.
"Look who we have here", Lorcan said with a smirk painted across his face. Chafu backed away slightly, not wanting to have this happen so early on in the day.
"What's the matter stripes? Forgot to take your mask off this morning? Wait...that's actually your face?!", laughed Lucien.

Lui finally saw Chafu, then the bullies walked up. He frowned, then walked over. "Leave her alone, she's just going on her way to work!" Growling at the slightly older cubs. "Now come Chafu, we need to let the baboons walk." Smiling and pulling her away, he knew he would have to pay for calling them baboons later but his only friend meant more than that.

A white lioness trailed behind the bullies as she looked towards the crying lioness cub and her male friend, they reminded her of her brother and herself. Her brother was a white lion as-well, but his tuft wasn't as large as the other boys, his eyes were big, as-well with his nose. She though he was beautiful, but had to make fun of him as-well so she would remain popular. "We'll get them later, right guys?" Snickering slightly, with her high-pitched voice.

Lorcan rolled his eyes at Nyeupe the White Lioness. "Yeah sure." Giggling to his friends beside him. "Why don't you go and get us some berries?" Tilting his brown head with a snobby smile. Nyeupe nodded and ran off into the forest.

"Did you see that? She thinks she's a part of us." Lysander laughed, sitting under a tree. Watching the rest of the Pride work their butts off. His tan tuft hung over his magenta eyes like a drape, his black fur showed through his tuft.

"Pathetic." Lucien, another bully said is response while flipping his brown tuft out of his dark green eyes, his brown tuft framed his square, golden/brown face.


[Lucien's fur looks like Mufasa's. I designed them because it bothered me that we didn't know. But no worries! I'll leave it to you to decide the designs of bullies of Lui :3]

Chafu sniffled slightly but looked gratefully at Lui as she sat down,
"Thanks Lui, you didn't have to do that you know...". She looked down at her paws, but then looked away for they had the same black stripes she was bullied for all over them. She was ashamed of the way she looked, even though she was quite pretty on lioness standards. Chafu often cried and asked herself why she had to look like this, and wonder why her father disliked her enough to name her after the word 'dirty'.

Lui smiled then chuckled, "I had to do it, you're my best friend!" Lifting her chin and smiling into her dark blue eyes. "Your stripes are beautiful, you may look different but no one is the same." Looking over Chafu's shoulder and gulping. "Um, Chafu. Go work. I'll be out here." As Lui's bullies started approching, he shoved her into the new den and waited for his bullies to arrive.

"Hey look guys. Lui even waited for us!" A bully named Bubu laughed, as his two friends were by his side. Bubu has dark-red/brown fur and a large red tuft that match his evil grey eyes. "What should we do to him today?" Asked Bubu, lifting his index paw-finger to his red goatee.

"Chase him? No. Through him in the pond? Yes." Another bully named Chuki answered. Chuki's fur is dark brown, it matched his jet-black mane and blazing red eyes. Grabbing Lui by his neck fur they walked off with a squirming fur in his grasp, dragging against the ground.

The last bully didn't say a thing. This bully's name was Baba, named after his father. Bubu and Baba were twins and looked about the same, just Bubu had grey eyes and Baba had blazing green eyes. "The dirty pond, or the alligator pond?" Questioned Baba looking at Lui in Chuki's mouth.

Bubu glared at his brother, "We don't want to kill him or we'll get in trouble! You twit!" Yelling at his twin brother then continued walking. "The dirty pond, we want him to come back in embarrassment!" Again, he started the laugh-another evil laugh.

Finally they arrived at the pond and threw Lui in the middle of the pond. Getting his orange fur and stripes dirty, and his mouth full of mud. Lui started to cry and the bullies ran away, hoping to not get in trouble.

Chafu was going to reply but then felt a shove, she turned around only to see lions older and more importantly bigger than herself. She walked after them cautiously, for she knew that Lui wouldn't want her to get into trouble as well as himself.
The young lioness watched as they dropped him in the middle of the pond, she growled loudly and as they ran away, she stupidly ran after them.
"You losers! You think it's funny to do that, than your just downright horrid! And to run away afterwards, you three are cowards!", she shouted as she finally caught up.

Lui saw Chufu and started swimming towards her, getting out of the pond he started crying once again. "I hate bullies, I just wish they would just go away!" Shaking his orange spotted fur, and whiping his tears away. "They only don't like us because we're just a little different. Like C'mon, everyone is different." Dropping his head, he started to walk back to work.

Ubaguzi went to find Chafu, walking into the den he only saw a few darker cubs working. No cubs with bright fur. Enraged, he roared then stomped out of the new den. "Chafu!" Yelling into the trees, hearing children voices in the bushes. His eyebrows were squinted together, and his green eyes here electrocuting to anyone who gazed in them. "Get out here and sent your friend to work." Growling and waiting for her to come out of the bush. "I don't even know why you have a friend." Saying under his deep breath, while rolling his eyes.

Chafu shivered at her father's voice, and came out from the trees, leaving the bullies to snicker at her. As she walked past her father she thought she heard him saying,
"I don't know why you even have a friend", no...she must of heard wrong. She padded off to work in the new den, trying not to think about it.
