Title: Before The Beginning

Story: King Mohatu and Queen Harufu have passed on. Now, Mohatu's son Ahadi and Uru, daughter of the Selfish Lion, are king and queen. Mufasa has been born, and so have Taka/Scar, Sarabi, Sarafina and Bianca/Zira. These are their adventures.

I am starting so that we're not waiting. Thus, we may need to play Ahadi and Uru a bit. However, their roles are still open. If interested, see the play thread.

Young Mufasa ran down from the den. He was going to see his playmates: his best friend and intended mate Sarabi, his brother Taka and their friends Sarafina and Bianca. Finally, he arrived and ran up to them. "Hey guys. What do you want to do?" he asked, the eagerness to play obvious in his voice.

[Maleficent]

Taka watched his brother approach from the distance and tried not to glare. As future king, you would think Mufasa would have something better to do than 'play'. He edged a bit away from Mufasa and put his nose in the air, not answering the question.

A smile appeared on Bianca's face as she heard Mufasa's question. After pretending to think, she suggested, "Why don't we fight one-on-one? Whoever pins their opponent first wins!"

Mufasa smiled. "All right. Who wants to face me?" he asked, looking at his brother and their friends. In his mind, he was thrilled about the prospect of gaining a victory in front of Sarabi and impressing her.

[Maleficent]

Still feeling a bit irritated, Taka said nothing and continued looking down his nose at the others.

Looking pleased about a chance to face Mufasa, Bianca grinned and said, "I will!"

Mufasa nodded and approached his friend. "Don't worry about losing, Bianca. When I'm king, I'll still let you live in the Pridelands," he said, crouching and preparing to pounce.

[Maleficent]

Bianca grinned wickedly and crouched as well, hissing, "Don't you think it's a little early to call out the winners, Mufasa?"

Deciding that he wanted to see the outcome of this, Taka turned his head slightly to watch Mufasa go against Bianca.

Mufasa was grinning from ear to ear. "Take me if you can," he said. He then leapt at Bianca, hoping to bring her down.

[Maleficent]

"Oh, believe me, I will!" Bianca replied, dodging him and then leaping at him in turn.

Mufasa was ready. He had timed his leap perfectly and pinned Bianca down. However, he let her go quickly. "Mother says that it's not nice for a male lion to pin down a lioness and brag about it," he said.
