Ahadi and Uru's Story (Private, KK44 and FlamingBee)

This is a private prequel between myself and FlamingBee (I only put the major characters up. Minor parts can be played by either of us). I found time to post this, so it has begun.

Choyo's mate is called Kiya and Mohatu's mate is named Harufu.

Ahadi climbed up Pride Rock and headed for the den to see his parents, King Mohatu and Queen Harufu. A drought had gripped the Pridelands, and now the waterhole was beginning to dry up. Ahadi greeted his mother and then turned his attention to his father. "Father, there is trouble at the waterhole. It has dried up almost to a puddle and the other animals ask for your help," he said.

Mohatu looked out over the lands, narrowing his eyes to pick out the waterhole which lie near the centre of the territory. There seemed some sort of commotion was occuring; surely the work of the rogue pride who'drecently turned up. "Well then we best help them; come my boy, I need your help for this..." He began to move swiftly from pride rock.

Ahadi wasted no time in joining his father. "I wonder why a rogue pride would come here during a drought. We barely have enough water for our population," the hot-tempered adolescent lion said.

[FlamingBee]

Mohatu nodded; "They don't seem to do anything but cause trouble. But we'll soon drive them out, this is only the second time we're seeing them out..." He could see the group of lions as he and Ahadi grew closer.

Ahadi smiled. "Well, I'm hoping they stay out for good this time. We don't need them," he stated. He then began to remind himself to try not to be distracted by any attractive lionesses that might be there. It was a struggle for Ahadi, as he had a bit of a weakness for lionesses that were particularly attractive. "I'll try to keep my mind on what we're doing, Father," he said.

He gave an approving nod; he of all people knew his son's weakness for females. Perhaps he could keep himself under control for once. He stopped as the male from the rival pride made an appearance; "You!"

Choyo snarled at the king. "Your majesty. What brings you here today?" he said.

[FlamingBee]

"You're breaking the water laws again, sir," he prevented a growl from escaping him as he confronted the male. "All of us are suffering, we must work together to savour this water... Now leave this place and wait your family's proper turn to come back."

[KingKovu44]

Choyo sneered. "Who cares what the others think. We're lions. Are we not the greatest of all animals?" he asked in a tone intended to mock the king's compassion for all life.
