Kai trotted around the old Baobab tree just waiting for something to happen. His mother and father where killed in a hunting spree, but was managing himself. He caught little rats and squirrels he survived on. Now he was just waiting to grow up. At the moment, he was dead bored, nothing to do, just stare at the fat hippos in the Watering hole. He started getting thirsty, so he ran up to the cool water to take a quick drink. But, instead of slowing down to take a drink, he decided to go for a bath. He jumped off a rock into the water, landing on a hippo. "Oh hehe, sorry! Didn't see you there!" he said, embarrassed. He splashed around for a little bit getting himself drenched from ear to paw. He got out and shook himself dry, getting everything around himself soaked. Then he say a little rustle in the bushes and saw a little mole rat in the grass, "Bingo!" he said to himself, he was hungry anyway.

[Maaaaaaaaaan]

Meika was lying behind some hippos sleeping next to the water, lounging about in the shade. These particular hippos had been kind to the lions of Meika's pride since before he was born, and they had watched after him ever since the cub's family and friends had disappeared without warning. He had always wondered what had happened, but after many long nights, had accepted his new life. Man, I'm so bored... His thoughts trailed off as he heard something moving nearby. A lone mole rat dashed into the nearby bushes, and Meika grinned. Hunting time!

[Daenerys]

"Hey Kamari! Check this out!" Mila yelled to her sister Kamari. Kamari skipped over to where Mila was peeking her head into a small hole in the dirt. "Move it!" she said and shoved her head into the hole. "There's nothin' but a buncha stupid rocks in here!" "Those aren't rocks! Those are eggs! A ground owl must have layed them here." Mila said. Kamari sighed and dug them out with her left front paw. "If mom and dad were here we wouldn't have to do this!" she said to herself. "Mom and dad were killed." Mila said, "Face it! And besides we're just fine right here!" Mila plopped down onto the soft grass next to some bushes, and yawned. "Hmmm, it's about time we got to bed huh?" and Mila fell sound asleep on her paw. Kamari went and gathered some soft grass and spread around Mila and herself to make a bed. Kamari yawned and fell asleep snuggled up next to her sister.

[Maaaaaaaaaan]

As Meika casually walked to the bushes he thought about how best to catch the animal. Last time I chased something it ran off when I jumped in the grass after it. Let's see how quiet I can be this time. He lowered his body to the ground as he followed in after the creature, moving only when the wind blew hard enough to cover his sounds. A minute later Meika found his prey and wiggled his hindquarters, ready to pounce.

"It's okay little mole rat, I just want to eat you." Kai said to himself as he crept up behind it. Then he pounced and grabbed the mole rat by his head. "Shtand shtill!" he said with his mouth full. The mole rat was freaking out and squeaking like nuts. Then Kai went right for the neck, "Ah, that's better." Then he gulped it down. He licked his chops, "Quite satisfying." he said. He was feeling good, but felt like someone was near him. He turned around and saw another lion cub on the other side of the water hole! The cub was pouncing on another little mole rat, and didn't notice Kai...

[Maaaaaaaaaan]

Meika leapt towards the small creature, pinning it to the ground with his strong paws. "Gotcha'! Heh, you should really be a lot more careful. Don't want you getting eaten out here." Scared, the mole rat ran away as Meika released him and disappeared from sight. Laughing, he wandered back towards the water and plopped on his back to stare at the warm sky. Great, now I'm just as bored as I was before. If this herd doesn't get moving soon, I'm just gonna' leave on my own.

"Kamari..Kamari? Kamari! Wake up!" Mila was pushing her sister, trying to get her to wake up. "Come on! Let's go down to the watering hole and get something to drink and take a bath!" Kamari just shoved her paw in Mila's face. "Come on Kamari!" "Alright alright! Stop it!" Kamari slowly lifted herself up and yawned. "Let's go!" Kamari trotted over to her sister, still yawning and they set off towards the watering hole. When they got there, Mila took off in a dead run towards the rock ledge and landed in the water with a huge splash. "Come on Kamari! The water is great!" she started doggy paddling around. Kamari ignored her and slowly crouched down for a drink. But, like she always did, she changed her mind and jumped off the ledge and did a cannon ball into the water. "Ah! Kamari!" Mila said in a playful tone. Kamari splashed her, "You told me to come in!" Kamari said, smiling. They got out and shook themselves dry. "That feels much better! Now we can take a drink." Mila said. Kamari and Mila stooped down to take a nice long drink. Mila started rolling around, just playing. "Hey Mila." Kamari mentioned "Do you feel like someone is near us?" "No, why?" "Oh, I just kinda felt like it." Mila stopped rolling and got up. She sniffed the air. "Well, it smells like another lion was here, or lion cub....
