Early morning in the Pride Lands. The sun barely creeping over the horizon as the last shadows of night vanish into light. The cool grassy ground quickly becomes permeated by the heat of the sun as the creatures begin to stir. The crawling ants forage for food and march in incredible sync. While the leaping antelope start waking to the bright sunlight and graze upon the grass. The trees blow in a mild breeze while the clouds drift lazily across the saphire sky. Several light splashes are heard throughout the bountiful land as creatures of all shapes and sizes lap up the precious water. But as life begins to pick up pace all around the Pride Lands, one place remains as quiet as a mouse: Pride Rock
Mufasa, being the older of his siblings and friends, awakes earlier from the rest of the pride. He walks out to the tip of Pride Rock and smells the fresh morning air. Accompanying him is his younger brother, Taka. Slightly less impressed with the morning, Taka had always taken a little longer to wake up than his brother. Meanwhile, their sister Kati slept in next to her mother Uru. Inside the den slept a few other cubs; Sarabi, Sarafina, and Aiko, as well as the rest of the pride. The king takes his precious time sleeping in this morning, the previous day telling his children that he had something to show them in the morning. But now, he was testing the two brother's patiences, as the morning stretched on and Ahadi still slept in. Finally growing impatient, Taka approaches his brother and says:
That's it, I'm tired of waiting! I'm gonna go wake dad up! He was intent on his mission to go to his father and bash his head into his father's as hard as he could so their morning could finally get started. He simply couldn't take the anticipation any more. He started off slowly towards the den.
