The Mystics. *Private Arani and QOPR*

[Arani]

Plot: Hatari, the queen of Pride Rock, is a mystic. She meets another mystic names Ayria and together they try to save the Pride Lands from a great and powerful darkness...

Characters:

Arani: Hatari, her family/friends, Tahi, his family and friends.

QOPR: Ayria, her family/mate/friends, Vitani, Hofu.

Hatari tossed and turned in the den. It was late at night, and the moon was almost at it's highest. Hatari mumbled something in her sleep. She suddenly sat bolt upright, breathing heavily. Her face had a horrified and scared expresion. She looked around. Tahi was sleeping soundlessly next to her, his chest gently rising and falling. She looked at her mother, who was sleeping on the other side of her. She flipped from one side her body to the other, smiling in her sleep. She looked at Huru and Isabella. They were sleeping next to each other, Isalella's head gently rested on Huru's mane. Huru smiled in his sleep. She wished that she was having good dreams like her family was. But tonight, she had far from a good dream. She got up as quietly as she possibly could, careful to not wake Tahi, who stirred as soon as she stood. She quietly walked out of the den, the full moon giving her shape a little glow in the night.

[Yay,finally!]

Ayira lay awake under the stars,trying to drift off to sleep once again but it was no use. Her heart was pounding inside her chest and her limbs were trembling; something was about to happen but what it was,she did not know. The dream from which she had awoken had been somewhat confusing; the deep voice that so often spoke to her had seemed distant,remote. She hadn't been able to hear what it was trying to say,which was a serious flaw. For how could she prevent things from happening if she knew absolutely nothing about them?
"Tell me again." she whispered, in an attempt to summon the spirit to whom the voice belonged. She listened,half expecting to hear the familiar voice call out to her in the night,but nobody spoke. She sighed,standing up. She might as well continue her journey now that she was awake; Pride Rock wasn't too far away from here. She began to walk,carefully sniffing the air to make sure she didn't bump into anything unexpected.

[Arani]

(Yay!)

Hatari kept walking throughout her land. A lot was on her mind. She asked herself over and over "What does it mean?". In times like these, she would ask her father or Mufasa for guidance, but tonight the stars were quiet, like they didn't even exist. Even when she called upon them, they did not reply like they normally would. Before she knew it, she was at the southern border. She stopped and looked out over the barren and destroyed landscape. What was out there that gave her the chills? That frightened and disturbing feeling that she rarely felt? Her vision was blurred and torn into many bits and pieces, but one thing was clear; someone or something was out there, beyond the Pride Lands, that she knew was in extreme rage. She tried again to call upon the spirits. She then heard an unfumiliar, deep voice, muffled and quiet. She couldn't make out any of what it was saying. “What?” She whispered into the night. It spoke again, louder this time. She could make out only one word: Danger. What it meant, she did not know, but as the moon was at it's height, she decided it best wait until morning.

Ayira kept on walking until she felt the sun warm her face. A gentle breeze stroked her cheek and she heard a voice whisper tenderly into her ear. "Home...you are home.."

She smiled,although she somehow could not escape a feeling of dread that had little to do with the danger that was supposedly lurking somewhere. Several months had passed since she had left Pride Rock. It was a decision she had regretted almost immediately afterwards,but stubborn as she was,she had not turned back. Perhaps she should have; living as a rogue was difficult for anyone,and her visual impairment had not exactly made things easier. But she had made it,largely thanks to her ancestors and the guidance she had recieved from them in her darkest moments. They greeted her as she returned to the Pridelands,but how the other pride members would react,Ayira did not know. Who was to say she would still be welcome?

[Arani]

Tahi slowly woke as the sun reached the interior of the den. He yawned and stretched, wondering what would happen that day. He looked at his sister, who was still asleep. He noticed that Huru and Hatari were not inside the den. He thought that they were having one of their private sibling talks and decided to not go looking for them. Instead, he stood and walked out of the den, the warm sun greating him, warming his body. It was a beautiful day. No clouds in sight, the birds were singing, and all the animals were out and about doing what ever they did in the morning. It felt great to be the king of such a great land, and he knew that he was making his father proud. As he walked down towards the bttom of pride rock and over to the group lounging in the sun, he noticed Huru talking to Kiara. He stopped and looked around. Hatari was no where in sight.

Hatari walked and walked. She was restless, even after an almost completely sleepness night, and wanted to be alone to think on her vision. She didn't know why, but she had a strong gut feeling, compelling her to keep walking, telling her that something was here that she needed to see. So, not daring to go against her gut, which had saved her contless times before, she kept walking. Again she found herself at the southern border. "At least it looks a little better during the day then at night." She thought aloud. Then, something caught her eye. Something was moving out there... she soon realized that it was a lioness. 'Probably a rouge passing by.' she thought. But then she noticed the figure moving closer and closer to the Pride Lands. She then heard that deep voice again. It said to go and see who it was. So, not wasting any time, she ran towards the lioness, who seemed as though they hadn't noticed her at all.

[AdAstrα]

Ayira felt her heart lurch as he heard the lioness approach,however she soon realised that she had nothing to fear. The voices were still gentle and calm,they would have let her know had there been any danger present at this moment. She therefore kept walking,slowing down a little bit to listen. She was curious as to who it could be,whether it was someone she knew or not. Not many would approach a seemingly strange lioness in such a determined manner.

Vitani had woken early and was now heading back to Pride Rock after a nice little walk around the kingdom. Spotting Kiara and Huru,who were too busy talking to even notice her,she slowed down,watching them anxiously. They looked serious. Had something happened?
She cautiously walked up to Tahi where he stood. "Good morning." she said gently. He barely looked at her. "Something wrong?" she added.

[Arani]

Hatari came closer and stopped, directly in front of the lioness. She could now get a good look at this new arrival. She was a dark tan color with strange markings all over her body. She soon realized that the lioness had not come any closer, but just starred at her. It was as if she wasn't even looking at Hatari, but peering strait through her. She knew the lioness knew she was there, but why she had not said anything, she did not know. When she looked at her stance and how much she was sniffing the air, she realized that the lioness was blind. So, she carefully started to walk closer, thinking that there may be danger, as any queen would think, and yet, she felt safer with this lioness almost as much as her own mother. "Hello?"

Tahi looked at Vitani. She was looking at him with a very confused face. "Maybe." He replied. "No one has seen Hatari since last night. I thought she would be out with Huru at this time, like she normally is. But he said she never came to see him." He said it with a worried tone. He saw Vitani's face turn more serious and worried. He knew that she was thinking exactly what he was. What if one of her visions had pulled her somewhere where she may be hurt... or worse?

[AdAstrα]

"Hello." Ayira replied calmly,turning her head to the direction from which the voice had called out. She stopped walking. There was something about this lioness that felt very intriguing for some reason,although what it was,she did not know. She did,however,want to find out.
"I'm Ayira." she said happily. "And who are you?"

"Oh no..." Vitani didn't even want to think about what could have happened to Hatari if she had,indeed,ventured far away from home. "Has anyone looked for her? She could be somewhere not too far away." she suggested.

[Arani]

"My name is Hatari, and my kingdom is not to far from here." She replied. "What are you doing out here in the Outands?" She asked. "It's not safe for a lioness alone, especially for one who is blind."

"Kiara has insisted that we let her work things out on her own." Tahi replied. "She's never failed before, and it's likely she'll come through this time. But I am still very worried." He said, wondering if he should go out and search for her, or trust that things will be okay in the end.

[AdAstrα]

Ayira smiled. "I'm on my way to that kingdom of yours. I was born there." she said,moving a little bit closer to Hatari. "You may not remember me. I've been away for a while." she explained. It suddenly occured to her that she had encountered a lioness very similar to this one in one of her dreams. Her voice sounded just the same. But that could only mean one thing..
"You..you're the new queen aren't you?" she added. She made it sound like a question but now that she thought about it,there could not be any doubt. Had she not said my kingdom? Meaning she was the one ruling it?

"Well..maybe she'll be back soon." Vitani said reassuringly. She wasn't entirely sure she believed in this herself,but it was all she could do for the time being.
