Ashur gave Simba a bow. Hello King Simba, I am Ashur. Ashur had hoped that that was enough for the king, for he felt his leg was going to fall off. Ashur gave the King another bow, smiled and sat down. Yes, I am in need of some help..you see..I have lost my family. They have been put under a curse which have made them reject me.. Ashur fought back tears. And, I do need a place to stay... that is if you don't mind. Ashur was nervous that the King was going to reject him.

Jamelia unfolded her ears when she realized that she did nothing wrong. When she heard 'rest' a grin appeared on her muzzle. "Rest... What a wonderful word." she remarked. "Thank you for the offerings." she thanked Nala before she layed down on one of the pelts. She pawed at some of the herbs and began to apply them to her wounds. Yes, they did sting pretty badly but she showed no pain on her face. "These aren't that bad. I've had worse. Malachi was a pretty brutal king, and I tried to rebel against him once when I was an adolescent. Not pretty." she continued to apply the herbs to her paws until she was finished. "Hey... do you think you can bring me that wildebeast? ...I'm starving." she spoke, trying to not sound demanding.

Simba quickly nodded to Ashur in the hopes that he would sit back down, as the observant king had already taken notice of the young male’s injured looking leg. Speaking in an understanding voice, Simba smiled in a friendly manner as he addressed the young male.

”I see. Well, I’m sorry to hear about what has happened to you Ashur, but you have my permission to rest as long as you need within my lands. I have to ask something however and please don’t think of me for being rude for inquiring, but is there any chance that your pride might come looking for you?”

Typically, Simba’s attitude towards such a situation would have been passive, but due to the recent events that his pride had faced, something lead him to ask this question. Trying to ease the troubled look upon Ashur’s face, Simba added in.

”Regardless if they do however Ashur, my offer still stands. I just need to know. I don’t mind welcoming new faces into my lands and I understand that sometimes, our past can come back to haunt us but being prepared for such an event, even if it never occurs, is always the best thing to do.”

==========

Smiling warmly at Jamelia as she placed the last sleeping pelt down, Nala nodded as she replied in a kind voice.

”Of course Jamelia. Give me a second.”

Looking over at Taraji, Nala called after her as she started to make her way outside the den to retrieve some of the fresh wildebeest for Jamelia.

”Come on Taraji, let’s go get this nice lioness some food.”

Walking up to the closest of the two wildebeest, Nala easily severed off one of the slain creature’s hind legs, picking one that hadn’t been touched by any of the other pride members, before she turned and made her way back into the main den, making absolute sure that Taraji followed her and didn’t take the shy cub out of her sight for an instant. Walking over to where Jamelia was tending to her wounds, Nala carefully set the delectable looking wildebeest leg next to the injured lioness as she spoke.

”there you are Jamelia. If there is anything else I can do for you, please feel free to ask.”

Ashur shook his head. My pride will never come looking for me. Ashur noticed that Simba had smiled at him. Ashur smiled back. He eyed his leg. How will I ever walk, I can't get up.. he licked the wounds on his leg. The pain became un bearable, but Ash ignored it. He waited paitently for the King to reply.

"Oh, thank you!" Jamelia smiled, and leaned down to feast on the leg. Oh, so juicy and delicious...

(I bet this is the shortest post in the RP.... Couldn't think of anything else to say. Can't keep my eyes open for long.... :sleepy: Gonna get myself some Orange Juice. Extra pulp. Yum. Might keep me up.)

Santiago chuckled as he looked over to Vitani while he walked, the act of her calling him "charming" seeming to catch his attention as he walked. Sure he had heard that before, Malawi would always slip in comments on how she found him charming or "adorable" when he began to get tongue tied while trying to explain something. However, this wasn't Malawi, this was Vitani. And there was something about her that seems to have started to slowly grow on him.
"I don't incite trouble. I work to end it," Santiago replied with a chuckle as he made his way into the den.

The den itself was small enough to be cozy, but big enough that it could house two or so lions without making Santiago claustrophobic. Looking around, the lion nodded in approval, obviously making it known that he liked the place. He then looked back to Vitani who seemed to want to make sure that he liked the den and knew about some meeting later that evening. If it wasn't obvious before, the raised eyebrow that Santiago suddenly sported should have given away that he had just learned about the meeting. "I like the den and apparently I just found out about this meeting," The lion replied with a slow nod of his head.

----------------------

Caine looked over to Shani with a raised eyebrow when the lion commented on how good-naturedly he had taken the rejection. He didn't think that there was a good way to take a rejection--everybody dealt with it differently; however, that certainly didn't mean that he though going nuts and trying to get revenge was acceptable. He was thinking baout how to react when Shani started to his story. Being a good listener, Caine did just that: he sat back and listened.

"Wow, that must have been tough on you. Taking over those responsibilities and driving your father out only to have to leave in an act of self preservation," Caine commented quietly, not knowing quite what to say as a result of the whole sad story that he had been told. For some odd reason he felt like there was some underlying meaning behind Shani's telling him this information, especially considering the two hadn't ended their last conversation on the greatest note. However, who was he to judge?

Daxis saw her comming and rolled on his side to turn his back on her. He was still mad at Almasi she didnt came to play after eating somehting. The dark brown furred cub wanted to play with her so bad. Daxis thought she dont like him or anything and just came because someone told her to play with him.
"Yes i noticed it took so long. I was looking for you at the meeting place thanks for stood me up. If you don't wanna do something with me then tell me."
He felt hurt just like when his parents banished him from the pride.

Darion nodded to his little brother and followed him. He was already full. The blonde maned lion ate something directly after he hunted it but then he heard Simba with Mosi and rushed out to help him.
Now he followed his Brother and layed down next to the prey and watched his brother.

Taraji paniced a bit as Nala left her and the lioness she did not know yet alone. She jumped on her feet and ran after Nala nearly crashing against her leg as Nala stopped at the wildebest. Instead of crashing into Nala she slipped past her paw and crashed into the wildebest making her fur dirty with the blood of the prey. She carefully stood up and shook her head to get the dizziness go away.

As she looked up to Nala again the old lioness was already on her way back to the den and Taraji again rushed to keep close to her. This time she ran a bit slower and was able to stop before Nala stopped.

Taraji sat down behind Nala to not be in line of sight of the lioness who was a stranger to the little cub. Taraji looked up to Nala with her big crystal eyes and snuggled against the old lioness.

[Woot! 1000th post in the RP! Lol. ^^]

Leaning down to have a slightly better look at Ashur’s leg, hoping that the young male wouldn’t take his observant advance the wrong way, the caring king replied in a reassuring voice as he stood back now.

”I’d say the best thing for you is a bit of rest now Ashur. Your leg won’t heal if you keep walking on it. We have a Shaman within our pride who might be able to help with that leg of yours but it will take me a bit to get him, so if you’d like to rest in the main den, you are more than welcome to.”

Glancing over at Kopa, Simba addressed his look alike in a hopeful tone.

”Can you see to it that Ashur makes it to the main den and maybe give him something to eat if he wants it Kopa? I’ll go fetch our Shaman.”

Nodding to his king, Kopa turned to Ashur as he lowered his frame so that the young male could climb onto his back as he stated.

”You heard the king. No more walking for you Kiddo. Hop on and I’ll take you up to the main den.”

Knowing that Kopa would be able to handle things from here, Simba took his leave, calling back to Kopa as he did so.

”Oh, could you let Nala know where I went off to as well please Kopa?”

Giving the departing king another nod to confirm that his wishes would be carried out, Kopa waited for Ashur to climb on before he slowly started to make his way up to the main den before entering and taking a look around, noticing all of the organized sleeping pelts that adorned the floor. A bit unsure of where to put Ashur down at, Kopa addressed Nala politely as he spotted her.

”Excuse me Nala, but I have an injured lion here who Simba requested should take a rest up here. Where may I set him down at?”

Nala was about to reply to Jamelia’s comment, when her attention was grabbed by Kopa’s voice calling to her. Giving Jamelia a quick nod as to indicate that she’d be right back, the cream colored queen made her way over to where Kopa was, taking a quick look at the young male atop Kopa’s back before she stated.

”Oh poor guy. Um, how about you set him down over here.” Nala said, giving a nod towards one of the sleeping pelts near Jamelia.

Kopa happily obliged and gently set Ashur down upon the soft pelt before he asked in a kind voice.

”Would you like something to eat Ashur?”

Now that Kopa’s question was answered, Nala returned back to Jamelia’s side since she had finished readying the den for the meeting. Glancing over at Taraji, who seemed to be following her like a shadow, Nala spoke softly to the cub as she tapped the floor of the den near where she was sitting.

”Come on over here Taraji and meet these new faces.”

==========

Simba made his way swiftly through The Grasslands, on route to Rafiki’s Baobab tree. Trying not to waste more time than he already had, Simba arrived at the sacred tree in records time as he called up towards the top of it, hoping that the wise mmandrill was at home.

”Rafiki, are you here? There’s a young male lion that is in need of a bit of care at the main den. He looks to have an injured leg. Could you help?”
