[Closed] Little Stranger (Taraji Chapter 1)

Simba listened intently to what Mosi told him and was right about to speak up in response, when he was suddenly blindsided by another lion. Whipping around to face this new threat, Simba’s eyes fell upon another male, who looked to be older than the cub he had been speaking with previously, but still didn’t look all that menacing. Keeping his guard up and having his polite demeanor being obliterated by this unexpected attack, Simba hissed through bared teeth as he spoke to the new lion.

”What’s your problem? I meant this cub no harm and you would have seen that if you didn’t just attack me for no reason. I am not here to cause any trouble, but if it’s a confrontation you’re after, than I would be more than happy to oblige.”

Ejecting his claws and taking up quite the aggressive stance, mainly in hopes of frightening or intimidating the smaller male, Simba hoped that he wouldn’t have to actually harm this young male but he wasn’t about to let himself be pushed around by some hot headed lion, regardless if he wasn’t on his own territory or not as he wasn’t in the wrong in this situation.

Darion continued snarling and ignored his younger brother in front of him. He pushed him to the side and bared his teeth just like simba did. His golden fur and blonde mane shined bright in the sun and was moving slowly in the wind.
Just go ahead and leave my brother and me alone. We don't need your help. We were disappointed by our own parents we don't need someone more who will disappoint us go ahead.
His Tail flicked nervously to the left and right. He don't really wanted to brawl with him. Simba was much stronger then him and Darion knew this.

Listening closely to the older looking lion’s words, Simba stood proudly as he slowly sheathed his claws, not taking his eyes off the aggressive male as he replied in a sincere tone.

”Very well. If that’s what will resolve this situation peacefully, then I will leave. I just have one other matter to bring up with you though. I believe that one of my pride members has come through your lands. She is a strong looking dark furred lioness but she means you no harm either. Please let her know that her king is looking for her if you come across her. Oh, and don’t even think about laying a paw on her or I’ll see to it that you regret it.”

Turning slowly, Simba left Mosi and the larger lion, who Simba had gathered to be his older brother from the way he acted. Hoping that his own actions would settle the confrontation, Simba kept true to his word as he exited The Outlands and started to make his way back towards Pride Rock. Simba knew that Rahina would be able to take care of herself against the likes of those two if they did happen to locate her. The only thing that worried him was the fact that there could be others as well.

Mosi turned to Darion "what did you think you were doing" he growled "if we got on the right side of Simba we could have hunted in the Pridelands" he said disapointed at his brothers reaction to the older male "if i needed help i would have called on you" he told him as he wandered off into the darkness of the Outlands "and dont follow me" he shouted back as he dissapered into the shadows

Darion was speechless as his younger brother dissed him just because Darion wanted to defend his little brother. He slowly realised after Simbas reply that he don't wanted to attack Mosi. The golden furred lion yelled after hs little brother.

But Mosi I just wanted to defend you... don't be so mean....

Mosi didn't react on his calling and he gotmore mad

Hey I am the older one and so you better do what i tell you and now come back....

Darion ran after him. He couldn't let him alone. He would feel guilty if something would happen.

Mosi saw that Darion was running after him so he ran as fast as he could trying to get away from him, couldent he see that he wanted to be alone, Darion never seemed to understand him and he didnt want to be with anyone right now, first of all his mother agreed to have them killed and now his brother ruiened any chance they had of being part of a pride, he didnt want to be a rouge forever, as he ran he saw a small opening in a broken down tree and he scurried inside, hopeing that his brother didnt find him as he wanter some alone time.

Darion kept an eye on him the whole time but the outlands were dry and full of dust and a small smother flew n his eyes. He shook his head and winked many times to wash the sand out of his eyes.
finally he could see something but he didn't see something from his brother and Darion got nervous and scared something could happen.
MOSI... MOSI... where are you.. i'm sorry ... hey its not funny come back!
The older brother got mad again and ran ahead to look after him in another area.

Vitani laughed. "Beautiful isn't something I get called to often." She said, making her way around the waterhole with Santiago. "Mostly it's 'striking' or 'intimidating.' It's a nice change. One thing though:" she continued cheerfully. "if you start calling me 'Tani' I might have to scratch your eyes out."

She noticed Kopa returning to his den on the other side of the waterhole. "Over there are Rahina and Kopa, two other newcomers to the lands. They seem nice enough, but they're a bit edgy sometimes, having lived alone and in danger for some time. Over there is Shani's den" she said, pointing to a den a short distance to the right of Kopa's. "He's very smart, and a pretty slippery character. And finally, Kiara and my brother Kovu live over that little mound behind us. They're the prince and princess so they get a bit of privacy. The other dens are all free for now."

Vitani was quite enjoying being able to walk around a bit, not to mention being accompanied by a handsome lion. It made her talkative.

"Happy to help Kopa." Kovu said as the other wandered off. This was certainly true, but Kovu was also very happy to end the conversation seeing as his mate was waiting patiently for him to finish. Kovu's expression broke into a happy grin and he all but pranced over to Kiara, very happy to be able to finally see his mate again.

"Kiara," he said, coming up for to give her a warm nuzzle and a lick on the cheek. "I was just about to go find you. Kopa just really looked like he needed someone to talk to." Noticing Taraji's absence he gave a sly grin. "Looks like you managed to get someone else to take care of Taraji for a bit. She's the cutest little cub you've ever seen, but us grown ups need our private time now and then huh?"

Shani froze hearing Caine's voice behind him. It took all his self control not to bury his face in one paw and tell himself how stupid he was. That never solved anything. Instead he nodded dejectedly at Nala and then looked back at Caine as Nala wandered off. Caine had taken up a spot at the edge of Pride Rock, looking down at the lands. Gathering up what was left of his dignity, Shani walked towards his friend. As much as he wanted to go back to his den, or maybe try to find Kopa or Santiago, he knew that the sooner he made up with Caine the better. Leaving a wound like that to fester wasn't a good idea.

"I didn't mean to shoot you down you know." Shani said, taking a seat next to Caine. "I wasn't expecting it, and you threw me off my game back there." Shani spoke in a rueful, not accusatory voice. "Look, I don't want us to ignore each other, so let's put that behind us."

Taraji happily started to suckle at Nalas dugs and finally was able to satisfy her hunger. She did not even mind Kiara leaving due she was used to Nala by now and also she had something to do that completely distracted her from the suroundings.

Taraji closed her eyes as she suckled greedily and gulped down the tasty milk Nala had to provide her.

Laini finished her drink and looked towards Almasi. "Daxis?" she turned her back towards the waterhole. "Oh now I understand where he wanted to go so badly. Well I think he will be somewhere at pride rock. If you are not thirsty anymore we can go back there." Deep inside her Laini was eager to do not have the responsibility to watch after this cub. Not that she did not like cubs. They were at least far better than grown ups. But Laini was still afraid to be unable to have what it took to take responsibility. She was not without reason at the bottom of the ranks.

Rahina still was captured in her thoughts of memories but she had retreated inside the den. She imagined that she could smell her mothers smell that she still remembered. She lay down at the corner she ever snuggled up against her mother. And soon... soon she would be a mother herself. Maybe she should stay here with the cub? It was at least a good hideout. Noone seemed to be comming here.
Rahinas mind was confused. On the one hand she was afraid to face Kopa. She had done awful things to him in her rage that she did not even know the reason fore anymore. On the other side she really longed for his warm body, his reassuring purr and soft licks... Rahina really missed Kopa even if they parted just a while ago. For her it seemed as if Kopa was miles away and she could not reach him ever again. As if she had broken something in their relationship. She felt guilty and sad and between all the pondering the small life inside her kicked her belly soft from the inside.

Almasi was happy that Laini knew Daxis and knew were he might be

"ok well i was supposed to meet him earlyer i really want to play"

she told her in excitment as she ran in the direction of priderock

Mosi could hear his brother but he didnt want to see him, he then realized that he shouldent be so selfish and that Darion would get worried, he crawled out from under the fallen tree and started to look for his older brother

"DARION, WERE ARE YOU"

he shouted as he wandered in the direction he assumed his brother went in
