"See you later!" Umeme told Lina as she walked off with Muroki. As she sat down next to him, she saw that he looked rather odd. Like he was thinking hard about something. "So, how does it work?" Umeme asked, nuzzling Muroki. She knew that in order to stargaze, she will need to look up eventually, but right now she was glad to be with him again.

Delano watched as Umeme and Muroki walked off. He looked up at the sky, and decided that he should get inside the den. Walking inside, he saw that Lina and Kasi were already inside. Kasi looked asleep, but Lina looked up at him when Delano walked in. Delano smiled at her and lay down close to her. "Today was a good day," he told her softly, smiling.

He let out a yawn, feeling tired. "Hey, listen, tomorrow morning I will go for a run with Muroki," he said, "so if you wake up before we come back, don't be worried, and try to look for us. But we'll come back early enough." He closed his eyes, ready for sleep. "Goodnight," he muttered, smiling.

Muroki smiled, sitting down beside Umeme and nuzzling her back. "Well, it's simple. We just lie on our backs look up at the stars." he said with a slight chuckle. "Well, we could also lie on our stomachs but looking up that way will give us an aching neck at some point, so I'd recommend the first option." The two went ahead and lay down on their backs, close to each other.

He went ahead and put one of his arms around Umeme's shoulder, holding her close and resting his head next to hers. Right then, the moon was already showing, and as if with perfect timing, the first star appeared a moment later. "We came right on time." he said with a smile, looking at Umeme in the corner of his eye for a moment and then back at the sky. "It's really beautiful when all of the stars show up, but it'll take a few more minutes."


Lina smiled up as Delano came in, nuzzling him gently once he lay down beside her. "Alright, thank you for telling me." she said, hoping that they could go hang out together again once he and Muroki returned from their morning run. "Good night." with a purr, she rested her head in Delano's mane and, using it as a pillow, fell asleep almost immediately.

Umeme looked up, amazed as the stars emerged from the night sky one by one. "They are beautiful," she whispered. She looked at Muroki. "I can see why you wanted me to watch them," she said smiling, "thank you." Umeme also enjoyed the feeling of Muroki's body next to hers. He was warm, and his presence comforting.

Looking up again, she watched the twinkle of the stars above. This time she didn't bother saying anything, content to simply lie on her back with Muroki next to her.

Delano grinned when he felt Lina rest her head against his. He was able to listen to her and figured that she was already asleep, judging by the slow steady breathing. Knowing that Lina was next to him, he also was able to fall sleep.

Muroki smiled at Umeme, not saying anything in return because he found it unnecessary. Looking up at the stars again, he wondered about his parents for a moment; whether they were up there and looking down on him. Umeme was filling in for the hole in his heart which formed up when his parents died, and while a small part of his heart will always belong to his dead parents, he felt perfectly fine. His brother was still alive and he had Umeme now, so there was absolutely no reason to be depressed.

Umeme looked up at the stars, but eventually felt her eyes grow heavy. Even though she was enjoying the stargazing with Muroki, she was slowly getting too tired to continue. She closed her eyes and rested her head against Muroki's mane, enjoying its softness and warmth.

She let out a purr of content as Umeme let herself sink deeper into Muroki. Despite not being in the den, because she was next to him, she felt safe.

After a while Muroki was also starting to grow tired. He looked at Umeme, smiling as he noticed her resting peacefully with her head in his mane. "Oh, I forgot to tell you." he said, softly so to not disturb her too much, "Delano and I will be going for a run early in the morning, so don't panic if we're gone when you wake up." he nuzzled her gently and then closed his eyes as well. "Good night."

Umeme was already far enough asleep that she was just barely able to comprehend what Muroki told her, let alone make a reply. She did move her head a bit, both to get further into Muroki's mane, but also to send him the message that she understood.

Even out in the open, Muroki was able to provide a great warmth and comfort that rivaled the den.

Despite being cuddled up against Umeme it was still slightly chilly from time to time because of the wind, but he was easily able to ignore it with her by his side. Before he even knew it, the scenery around him became clearer, telling him that it was already morning. He wondered whether he should go tell his brother that he was ready to go but figured that Delano would come to him once he too had woken up. For now he was content to just lie there with Umeme.

Delano woke up quickly enough. He looked around, but didn't see Muroki anywhere. Ignoring the sleeping Lina and Muroki, Delano left the den into the early morning light. Almost immediately, he spotted Muroki, lying on the ground, with Umeme next to her.

Cautiously approaching the two of them, Delano saw that his brother was already awake. He leaned down so that he can whisper to Muroki and not disturb Umeme. "You're ready to run?" He asked.

Muroki closed his eyes and continued resting until his brother whispered to him. He slowly opened his eyes and looked up at Delano with a smile. "Yeah, Umeme knows I wont be here when she wakes up, so she's not going to get worried." he got up slowly so to not wake Umeme up and then joined his brother. "So where are we going? Just running randomly?"
