And Rangi just got up and walked away as the pale lioness went on. But then Rangi stopped, turned around and smirked.
"Ey, Kuruka, still have some energy left in ya?"

She refrained from smacking the offending lioness, and merely scooted up after her sister, ears twitching. She lifted her head and returned a smirk back, the expressions mirroring one another. "Energy? Hun, I'm full of it. Done nothing all day 'cept take down a kid, and that didn't even get me panting." she cackled, flicking her tail.

"You wanna go mess with “King” Simba's cubs?" Rangi purred, the words gracefully rolling off her tongue. "I know where they are. Puny little kids."

[Zoketi]

(Oh, lol. I didn't know we'd involve canon.)

"I suppose." She drawled, twitching her tail tip and shifting slightly from paw to paw. Her brown coat ripple as she stretched, fleshing long pointed claws against the ground.

Rangi lead her away, leaving Furagha talking to herself.



Leaning forward on the rock, Rangi looked down and saw four little cubs playing. Targets acquired. She thought to herself. "We need to find a way to get them away from the lionesses." She whispered to her sister, looking towards the lionesses watching them.

Kuruka skulked after, tail tip twitching, a small leer playing about her muzzle. When they came to a halt she lifted her head, finding the little group of figures tumbling about. They had guards, though; lionesses. "Mhm." The brown loner rumbled softly, ears twitching. Lowering down, below the grass tips, Kuruka fixed her violet gaze upon the watching pride females. She tilted her head, considering. "I feel jumping in and raining death, as delightful as that may be, is not a good idea." she murmured, licking her muzzle. "Something needs to distract the adults. Then perhaps the cubs will take a chance to escape their guards." she chirped quietly, thinking what a cub would do. They'd want to get away from watching eyes to play by themselves, right? She flicked her tail and licked her claws.

"I see your point. Cubs want to do sh** they're not supposed to." Rangi muttered. "They want to be free." Then she thought in silence. "I have an idea. It sounds stupid, but we can make hyena noises, then while the lionesses are 'busy protecting their kids', they run off. Or maybe we can find a way to cut down a tree between them so they're separated. Just a thought. Go ahead and laugh at me, you'll just wake up without a tail. Then I can call you Stubby instead of Kuruka."

(OMG. THAT FIRST SENTENCE. i pretty much just reminded me of myself when i was a little kid.)

She cocked her head. "I hadn't planned on laughing. And I do doubt I wouldn't feel you trying to rip off my tail, sister." she cackled before clamping a paw over her jaws. "Your ideas are swell. They're simple, but enough to get silly Pridelanders distracted. I think the hyena one is the easiest...." Kuruka glanced around, and flicked her tail in anticipation.

"Okay then, Stubby." Rangi purred, then started to cackle loudly- sounded nothing like a hyena but the ever so cautious lionesses jumped up and started running around like chickens, and the cubs, as planned, darted off.
"Purrfect." Rangi said jokingly, then she ran off in the direction the cubs went.

She shook her head in mild amazement as the lionesses hardly noticed their charges race off through the grass, giggling as they went. Having no idea what was in store for them. Kuruka flicked her tail and trotted after her sister, eyes narrowed and ears pricked, a grin wrapping over her muzzle. She licked her jaws then gave herself a quick shake as she matched her littermate's pace. Casting a glance back she saw the Pridelanders still ambling about, only just realizing the cubs gone.
