"Not really." Mwunga glanced around. "I've never had to hide from anyone..." She gave a heavy sigh and stood, wincing slightly at the pain.

"I know a place." Shomari meowed quietly.

Velka perked up "Show us with our eyes."

[Zoketi]

Shomari glanced at Velka, then turned and bounded into the forest. He knew that the other lion would return first to this beautiful place, and follow their scents.
Mwunga raced behind Shomari, springing over the foliage with ease. "Try make a confusing trail, so he won't follow!" She called to the others. At last they emerged from the trees, and Shomari sprinted to the left. The ground was flat and much easier for them to leave the scent trail, so speed was their only help at the moment.

Velka followed closely behind. He ran around in circles trying to confuse the scent.

"He's not smart lion. Do you think I can trick him?"

[Zoketi]

Mwunga looked back. "Maybe. What did you have in mind?" She gasped at him, her wounds stinging in the wind as she ran.

Shomari finally skidded to a halt beside an odd stone formation. Mwunga halted beside him, panting. "What...?" She huffed, looking wearily up at the rock.
"Look." Shomari pointed with his tail at the slim crack in it.
"Wher--oh!" Mwunga narrowed her eyes, then looked at Velka. "Do you think we can all squeeze through?" She asked Shomari, glancing at her own body.
"Let's at least find out." Shomari gazed nervously around, in case the lion was near. He then pushed through the crack, remembering all the times he had come her as a cub. It seemed so much smaller now, but the young lion could still fit. He rolled over and landed sprawled in the cave.

Velka awkward tried to cram his body inside the crevace.

"Unk, I'm too... big!" He wiggled and struggled, but with the amazing strength in his legs he managed to squeeze through to the other side.

He gasped for breath, "UHH! I almost got stuck. Can Mwunga fit through alright?" He asked, worried about her.

[Zoketi]

"I think so." Shomari replied softly, pushing away the fear for the lioness. If you can, she can. He grumbled in his mind.

Mwunga glanced around then squeezed her body in. She heaved, her front paws clawing at the rock. Finally she burst through, knocking into Velka and rolling until she hit the opposite wall.

"I fit...!" She meowed, looking up dizzily.

Velka reared up and cheered, "This is good! And I am now in dark cave with meat-eaters. No escape... hee hee hee..."

Velka had a fear of the dark, it made him weary and fearful. He tried his best to subside the worry.

"What do we do now? Venture more inside? I- he happened to catch a glimmer of something slithering.

"Centipede! Many centipedes!" He looked up when he heard the patter of crawling insects, "Friends, they're crawling all over the ceiling!"

Mwunga looked up, giggling as she watched the creatures crawl about. Shomari scowled up at them, sitting to himself at the far side of the cave.

"They're so funny." Mwunga meowed, her eyes bright.

Velka scoffed, "They're so ugly. Creatures like this are ugly. I'd much rather be looking at color trees. How could you find such slithers funny, Mwunga? They don't speak."
