As Simba commented on how close he was to Marini, he found himself commenting on Simba's unspoken idea. "There's still one thing left, really..." he said, lookign but towards the ravine. "...but not for a few months more."

He then turned back to Simba, unable to help himself from his curiosity. "What about you? You ever consider the idea of you and Nala...you know...taking it that far?" He thought Simba and Nala would make a great king and queen once they returned to the Pridelands, but it all came down to the two of them, and what they wanted with each other.

After Tanga said what he said, Simba figured that Tanga had already been thinking about the possibility of him becoming mates with Marini for a while now, and if Simba was not mistaking, also feeling like it. But he wasn't sure on how to respond when Tanga asked the same about him and Nala. He thought about it once, but, since the two of them were boyfriend and girlfriend for only around a week he hadn't spoke of it to anyone, even if they were betrothed the day they were both born. He loved Nala, he knew that, but the possibility of becoming mates was a few months away like Tanga said. "Once, actually..." Simba admitted, also looking into their cave system

Tanga smiled at Simba. "No need to rush, I guess," he said simply, before getting to his paws, heading to the spot where he always started his jog. "You already had your run, Simba...or do you want to come along?"

At this point, Nala woke, finding Simba was not beside her. It did not trouble her, though...he was gone a lot of the time when she woke up, thanks to his nature as an early riser. Getting to her paws, she make her way out of the nook, looking around the cave system, wondering who else was up at this time.

Simba nodded at Tanga, "I finished my run a few minutes before you came out." he answered, allowing Tanga to jog on his own if he wished to. He mostly just wondered around untill the others woke after finishing his mornig run, but he felt that maybe coming back into he and Nala's nook to rest might be a better idea. "I think I'll head back inside untill Nala wakes up."

Tanga nodded. "Alright, Simba...I'll see you later this morning, probably!" he called, before heading off, getting straight into his usual jogging rhythm as he made his way steadily around the hill, wondering how far he could go this time. He hoped he could break three and a half laps today, but pushed the goal to the back of his mind as he focused on his jog, letting his thoughts wander as he went.

After Nala found Marini and Sarabi still sleeping, she decided to head outside, climbing out of the ravine, finding Simba heading back her way just as she came out into the open. "Hey, Simba," she greeted, coming up to him and licking his cheek. "No surprise finding you up early again. You seen Tanga? He wasn't inside when I woke up."

Simba smiled at Nala as she came up to him and licked his cheek. This time, unlike most of the times, he licked her cheek back before answering, "He just went for his jog." he said, pointing at where Tanga had set off to a few moments ago. "So... what are you up to?"he asked wondering whether Nala was also taking her jogs in the morning

Nala giggled and purred as Simba licked her back. "Nothing this morning, I prefer an afternoon run," she replied, sitting down beside him, leaning her head against his shoulder. "Besides, I'm hoping our training gets to start today...if Tanga's healed enough yet, that is."

Sarabi woke up as well, yawning as she got to her paws, before exiting the cave system. She had checked Tanga's wounds last night, and had agreed that she would talk to Kali about the possibility of starting their training today.

But she was slightly distracted when she found Simba and Nala, looking so happy in each other's presence. "Morning, you two," she said simply. "Sleep well last night?"

Simba was also about to say about to say something about the training that they would hopefully start today when his mother came up to them. At first he was a little embarrased when someone was looking at the two of them, but he got used to it already. "Morning mom." he said, turning his head as much as he could without forcing Nala to move from his shoulder, "Yeah, thanks for asking."

Nala also gave her morning greetings, before Sarabi's smile faltered. She had never told the two of them of their betrothal back in the Pridelands...and was not aware that Zazu had told them. They were getting older now, close to the point where they should be made aware of their betrothal...but the circumstances of their situation were far from normal, and Sarabi did not know if the tradition still standed after everything that had happened.

"Listen, you two," she finally said, deciding it was time they knew, one way or another. "I'm not sure if this still applies, with us leaving the Pridelands and everything, but when the two of you were still very young, Mufasa, Sarafina and myself made an agreement that the two of were to be betrothed, so that Nala would become queen when Simba took over Pride Rock, and..." she stopped, not really sure what else to say.

Simba didn't know what to say to his mother. Both him and Nala were made aware of their betrothal when they were still cubs. But now that Sarabi mentioned it, he wasn't sure what he could say. He wondered whether Nala had ever given any thought to their betrothal since they became boyfriend and girlfriend, and he didn't want Nala to feel like they were forced to be married, because they've only bee together for a week, so he never spoke of it at all. But now he had to say something to his mother. "Oh... We alrady know that." he said, realising that Sarabi didn't know that Zazu had already told them, "Zazu told us, a few months ago..."
