Vida snarled loudly,"No. I'd watch your mouth, before you say something that you regret." She turned and stalked away. She may have a problem, this lioness may not be on her side when she rebels.

Saka smiled down the cub,"Um, Saka..."
He snuck a glance at the cubs mother, then at Vida who was walking angrily away. He frowned slightly, and turned back to Futenal,"Um, excuse me." Saka splashed over towards the cubs mother and beckoned towards Vida,"What happened?

Rachelley looked at the fire creeping closer and closer towards them and laughed at him, "You really want to talk problems right now? The fire is getting closer and closer, and we need to get away before something bad happens." With that she picked up Futenal and swam downstream, letting the current do most of the work for her.

Saka called after her,"You may want to hurry up and cross over." He turned to Tiaret and Vida,"Cross. Now."
He dove in after them and pulled himself up, ignoring his pain as the effort tore his wounds open again. He shook himself and turned to Shahallie,"Follow if you like."

Rachelley rolled her eyes and continued to let the river push her down stream. She'd be able to get farther away like this, and it would be safer for her and her cub.

Saka led Tiaret and Vida into the woods, wondering if he should tell the lioness that the lands further downstream were full of dangers, even more so when there was fire. He thought of the small cub and called down the river, again,"Get out now-while you can. For your cub." He sighed and wondered if she would listen.

Rachelley heard the lion call out and sighed. Why was he so worried? She decided to listen to him... for now. and moved out of the water and walked over the corpse of trees with her shivering son.

Shahallie got out of the water and started to jog over to Tiaret and the others, when something caught his eye. There was movement behind them across the river. He could've sworn he saw somewhat of a mane behind a rock. He made sure everyone was in the woods before going in himself. He then went up to Saka.

"We're being followed."

Saka turned to him.

"What?"

"I saw a lion hiding behind a rock across the river and he could be with others. What should we do?"

Saka frowned, deep in thought,"Tell the lioness to hide her cub, and Tiaret, Vida, and her to stay here. We'll scout it out." He waited for Shahallie to warn the lionesses, then jumped back into the stream;it was much harder to go back across. He quietly shook himself dry, then crouched, waiting for Shahallie to join him. He still did not like Shahallie much, but he still had to face the fact that there was no one he had ever met that he would rather have by his side if things escalated to a fight.

Tiaret longed to nuzzle Shahallie before he trotted away, but stayed herself, knowing that Saka was probably watching. She hurried quickly to scout out a place for the cub. She quickly found a hollow log, behind several others."Hurry," she called quietly.

Shahallie joined Saka. Shahallie whispered quietly

"Behind that giant rock, I saw him. We can flank him from both sides and tackle him. I'll cover his mouth because if he's not alone, the others won't hear him."

Saka nodded his head and started, followed by Shahallie. They went to both sides of the rock, quietly, and were ready to tackle the lion, when suddenly, three jumped out from behind the rock.

Saka jumped with surprise as three lions jumped out from behind the boulder. He quickly regained his composure and attacked the two largest of his and Shahallies attackers. Once again, he was glad he was much bigger and stronger than most lions, as he easily tackled his two victims and held then firmly against the ground with hus enormous paws, claws slightly extended.

Tiaret hurried the lioness toward the hollow tree stump, than joined Visa, who was guarding the thicket entrance. Tiaret crouched next to her, and tried to glimpse through the heavy thorns and leaves what was happening across the stream.
