"I... I..." Zira smiled slightly. "I'm sure... I'm sure Kovu will like that. A lot..." she nuzzled him. "I suppose I never thought that you would be... so close to me... all that long ago. When we met." she laughed, remembering her nervousness. She lay on her belly and enjoyed the few stars that decorated the sky. "So what do you think about the newcomers? Especially that one," she said, referring to Geni.

Geni was saddend at the fact that Zira couldn't remember her. Her ears lowered when Zira walked away. But she was too strong for such things, so she raised her head and walked over to a cool spot in the shadow of the termite mound. There she layed down slowy and turned to her back, watching the faint stars.

Regina walked over to Geni. "Just what is your relationship with Zira anyway?" she asked.

"She's...she's my sister." Geni whispered. "Long ago when things were all peaceful, and eveyone was friends with eachother. That was the time we were around and were friends with the Pridelanders...all of them." Geni turned her head towards Regina. "You ever heard about these so called Great Kings of the Past?"

Regina listened intently. "No, I've never heard of these 'great kings'," she answered.

"Alright, come lay down here." Geni was glad that she would finally pass down the story to a complete stranger. "Look at the blinking stars, someone once told me that all of the brightest ones represent kings of the Pridelands, and the dimmer ones are the queens. THey say that when one dies, a new star is formed." She glanced at Regina with a hopeful face, hoping she would understand so far.

Regina did understand, at least a bit. "Well, I doubt my ex-mate will ever be among them," she said.

Monstro nodded to Zira and joined her looking at the stars, "We have a bunch of out casts. But with the right care and sum training, they can be strong." he spoke looking to Zira. "That one is a fighter, shes deffiant and I know she will be trouble." he said growling softly. "But give her a chance Zira, treating them like outcasts wont make us a Pride." he added. He nuzzled Zira's neck and smirked softly, "Tomorrow I shall speak with them."

Eventually, Simba fell into a deep sleep. The night passed and the morning son rose. Simba woke up first and just sat there, watching Nala and their cubs sleep.

Chaka awoke to the sound of Simba's paws and swooshing mane. As he got his eyes used to the blinding light of the rising sun, he yawned. Chaka pushed himself out of Nala's limp grip and went to sit next to his father. "Hey Dad..." Chaka smiled at his father.
