Adofo: Well here, our pride sleeps in the main den! Come on! I fixed you your own bed!

[Iri]

"Thank you," Sagira said gratefully. "You're very kind."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Hey! You're a Pridelander now! Once you become one, you're family! In most cases literally! I have a lot of adopted kids! Becareful or you could be next!

[Iri]

Ua looked in Sagira's direction and smiled a little.
"She was adopted, right?" Sagira asked.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Yeah....and we've loved her every day since! We fought hard to get her back from her birth parents. Long story, they didn't respect her and she wanted to come back! So we came and got her! I don't care about bloodlines! What matters is what's in your heart! She my not be my flesh and blood, but I'd die for her all the same!

[Iri]

Ua smiled and nuzzled Adofo. "And I'd die for you," she whispered.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Love you sweetheart!

[Iri]

"Sir, what do you mean when you said her parents 'didn't respect her'?" Sagira asked curiously.

[Adofo]

Adofo: They basically forced her back! She wanted to stay her but....they couldn't let her go! And when they did they said if she ever came back they'd kill her! What kind of family does that!?

Ua nodded at what Adofo said.
"Wow... that's... just wrong," Sagira said. "My mother hated the fact that I was forced to sleep outside. Even though she was matriarch the others tried to claim it was a 'law' that I was to sleep outside if I was the matriarch's daughter." She sighed. "I'm sorry, Ua."
Ua shrugged.
