((Yeah. I had Obsidian in mind, but I don't know much about rocks, so I didn't want to name any specifics))

Delano rushed to Muroki, and looked down to where his brother was pointing. His eyes widened when he saw the large amounts of the black rocks at the bottom of the cliffed off area. "Yeah, I believe those are the rocks!" He said, smiling. But then his smiled dropped when he looked at the cliffs surrounding the rocks. "But how do we get down there? And if we do, how will we get back up?" He asked.

It only figured that they found the rocks quickly enough, but they were at an area that was nearly impossible to get to. Now Delano tried to figure out a way to get down the cliffs, and more importantly, back up, but he didn't see any path that they can walk on to get to the bottom. "I don't think we can get down there," he said uncertainly.

Muroki also tried to figure out a way for them to get down and grab two rocks. "Well, we have to get down... In one way or another." he said, trying to think. There had to be a way to get to the rocks, otherwise this wouldn't have been their assignment for the final course. "Well, maybe if we go around and look carefully we can see a part of the cliff which is moderate enough..." he looked at his brother and waited for his opinion.

Delano thought about it before nodding. "Alright, let's go down to the edge and see if we can spot some kind of path that we can't see from here." With that, he proceeded to walk down the hill's side towards the cleft in the ground below them. "But if we can't get down there," Delano said as they walked, "we'll have to go somewhere else. But where?"

For now he hoped that they would find a way to get down to the rocks in front of them. It would be very disappointing, and mentally exhausting, to find out that the rocks they see are out of reach.

Muroki nodded, "Alright, come on." he said, walking along side his brother. Eventually he noticed a a path which was actually a very simple one. The only reason they could see it only now was because the cliff looked like a solid piece of rock from where they were. Now that they had a different angle, it was easy to notice. "There we go." he said with a smile as he took point, walking down the path and towards the rocks.

Delano also spotted the path down to the bottom and snorted. "Well that's rather lame." He said, commenting on how the trainer made the task sound so hard. So far it was proving rather easy. At this rate, they will have the rocks before the day will even be half done. They will have an excellent lead over the others in getting back.

However, as he came to the path and tried stepping on it, the rock under him moved violently, and as Delano jumped back, he watched in horror as the path disintegrated in front of his eyes. It was unstable, and by stepping on it, Delano caused it to fall apart. He backed up to Muroki, shaking slightly at the prospect of falling with the rock. "Now what?" He asked, still sounding frightened. "Now I see why the rest of the walls are vertical." He looked around, again searching for a way down, but this time not as hard, for he did not enjoy the idea of getting down to the bottom a much as before.

Muroki sighed in annoyance as the path just fell apart. "Wow." he said, his voice sarcastic. He walked with his brother and again looked for a path down. This time however they found nothing. The only thing Muroki could see that was close to a path is a not-very moderate climb. "I bet I can go down this..." it wasn't that high. He stuck his claws in the rock and slowly slided down with his belly against the rock and head towards the top, his claws keeping him from falling.

Eventually, he reached the buttom. He grabbed two rocks and threw them to Delano. "Well, we have the rocks." he said, realizing that going back up will be hard. "It's a good thing we rolled those logs over." he said, taking in a deep breath before beginning to slowly climb. Unlike that path from before, the rock he was hanging on to and climbing on was stable.

Before Delano could react, Muroki had slid his way down to the bottom. He stared in shock as his brother tossed up the two rocks, but was still able to catch them. The problem came when Muroki started to climb back up. The only patch he chose started of slightly flatter than at the top, so while he was able to climb up initially, Delano could only watch as Muroki took another step only to slide all the way back down. "There's no way for you to get back up!" Delano called down to his brother. "Hang on, I'll find a way to get you up!"

He frantically looked around for anything that could help his brother, because he would never leave Muroki down there by himself. But if he would get down there, he would be stuck, too. He heard Muroki call up to him, but he didn't understand what his brother was saying. And then he saw it.

It was a half rotten log lying on its side next to the cleft. Delano rushed over to it and examined it. It wasn't as round as the logs they rolled back at training, but it was the only thing that can help Muroki. "Hang on, I'm going to get you out!" Delano called out and, with a strained shove, began to roll the log.

Muroki sighed as he found himself unable to climb back up. "This isn't working..." he said, mostly to himself. Suddenly he saw his brother rolling a log, "When I said that, I meant that it was good work for our leg muscles!" he exclaimed, wondering what exactly did his brother have in mind.

Delano knew that when Muroki mentioned the logs, he wasn't referring to an actual log, but right now, Delano had another thing in mind: he was going to use the log as a bridge. Eventually, he was able to get the log over to where Muroki had tried climbing. Delano quickly ran over to the edge. "Muroki, your going to have to move to the far end!" he called down.

When he was certain that Muroki was out of the way, Delano ran back to the log. He rolled it over to the edge, and when it teetered over the cliff, Delano was able to rotate the log so that half of it was over the edge of the cleft. Again checking that Muroki was out of the way, Delano pushed the log, and it fell over into the cleft.

With a tremendous crash, the log fell over before settling down, resting against the wall. Delano let out a sigh of relief before the log groaned and began to move. Desperately, Delano ran over to it and grasped a large branch with his teeth, digging himself into the ground in order to keep the log from falling into the cleft entirely. "You have to come up now!" He cried out, but with his teeth clenched against the branch, his voice was muffled and impossible to understand. But Delano hoped that Muroki would get the message and use the log to climb up the wall.

Muroki was impressed at his brother's thinking. Even though he couldn't understand what his brother was saying with the branch in his mouth, Muroki did manage to hear the log moving. He ran up the log as fast as he could, silently praying that his brother will hold out for the few more moments he needed. Once he was at the top of the log, Muroki jumped back to safety, breathing heavily in relief. Delano at that point already released the log and it fell down with a loud crash. Muroki was more than happy that he was no longer on that long. "Thanks..." he said, looking at his brother, "That's one I owe you."
