Chaka was angry at his parents, so angry he thought he would burst. Why did he have to suffer what only Kopa was supposed to? Even their sister was going to suffer when she was in fact the least responsible. "No need to yell at us Dad!" Chaka shot back. "We only saw the black lioness from the other day."

Simba took a few deep breaths before speaking again. "While I appreciate you telling me about the black lioness, it doesn't change the fact that all three of you disobeyed a direct order from your mother and I. You will be punished," he said.

Nala nodded in agreement with Simba, "Im disappointed in you three." she sighed. She used her paw and nudged the three cubs back to Pride Rock, "All three of you should have to sit and learn history with Rafiki." she scolded.


Monstro looked to Kovu, "Nothing son, its getting late. Find your mother and lets get some sleep." he said standing the cub up to his paws. "One day Kovu, you will be King." he assured the young cub. He followed closely behind him and looked to Zira, "Come to bed." he called.

Simba almost chuckled when Nala said that. "I think that's an appropriate punishment. I will talk with Rafiki and organize the lesson. You three will learn the consequences of disobedience just like your mother, Aunt Vitani and I all did when we misbehaved," he said.

Kiara teared up. "Sorry, I'll take the punishments as a reminder never to go back." She said, lowering her head. "Until I'm queen, then I'll go there everyday" She muttered to herself, no one else could hear. She looked up at her blue eyed mother, the older version of her. "Just like you mother." She smiled, trying to make the situation a little happier.

Simba's anger subsided a bit. "Very good, Kiara. Now, let's just hope that your brothers keep that promise," he stated.

"I PROMISE, I won't come here again." Chaka only followed behind his siblings out of the Elephant Graveyard with a pouty face. Why did they have to go through all this? He tried to make himself calmer by breathing a bit slower and replacing the frown on his muzzle with a slight crease. It was working....but not for long. As they were making their way to the bone mound, Chaka once again saw the dark lion atop the ledge, but this time there was a noticable mark on the lion's face, a vertical scar on the left eye. Great-Uncle Scar...? Chaka was frantic, it was the evil lion that had been chasing him the whole time. With that, he ran like a hunted animal up the bone mound yelling: "Get away from meee!"

"Zira...it's me, Geni." Her eyes got watery as she stared into Zira's face. For a time so long, Geni had thought that reuniting with the one she looked after since their mother died, was to her an impossible feat. But here she was... hoping Zira would recognize her.

Time passed, she turned her head over to Monstro and the cub she now knew was, Kovu. They were talking like father and son, but Geni wondered why the cub was named after..Scar! Her mind raced. Where exactly was he and the other Pridelanders that were once her friends? "Zira... tell me, do you remember me?" Then Monstro called for the lionesses to sleep, but she couldn't, she would wait for Zira's response.

Simba heard Chaka and looked at him. "Chaka, who are you yelling at?" he asked.

Once Chaka had made it up to the Pridelands, he pointed a paw at the ledge. "Him! That creepy shadow!" Now he backed away. The lion jumped down from the ledge, causing steam to rise. Was this all imaginary? Why couldn't anybody else see him?

"Creepy shadow? Chaka, it's in your mind. There's no one there. Now, let's go home," Simba said. He seriously hoped nothing was wrong with his son.
