Scar smiled as he watched Sarafina leave, before heading off towards Pride Rock. He had heard the tone in her voice, and knew he had found his queen. Soon, he would have her as his mate, and once that happened, there would be no challenging his status as king...particularly once he had a child on the way. He was convinced his rule was the beginning of a great dynasty of rulers in the Pridelands, and all these thoughts left him in an exceptionally good mood.

Tanga followed Busara towards the waterhole with the others, barely containing his apprehension and curiosity. Nala, on the other paw, was bouncing around like a little cub off on an adventure, leaving Tanga suspecting that Uhuru had been a big influence on her recent behaviour as she stuck close to Simba's side, obviously taking advantage of the new step their relationship had taken. Sarabi, meanwhile, was her usual, calm self, striding along behind the others, curious, but not showing it.

As the group wandered off, Kali simply settled into the grass on her hillside, deciding that, despite having woken up just before, a morning nap in the sun was in order. As she relaxed, purring as the sun's rays relaxed and warmed her body, she started thinking on how she was going to train the five children. They would need to be prepared for almost anything, which meant her teachings would have to be swift, but thorough.
