Shifting her body so that she could be as close to Kovu as possible, without squishing their slumbering daughter in between their large frames, Kiara blushed heavily from what her mate was asking her. Never being the type to shy away from a question however, the golden furred princess giggled playfully as she retorted in an amused voice.
”You really wanna know Honey? Well, you know how I was as a cub I think, always energetic and curious. Well, let’s just say my curiosity got the better of me one night. Hearing strange noises coming from one side of the main den, which woke me up… Trying to keep herself from laughing openly as her cheeks felt as though they were on fire, Kiara continued. ”Well, let’s just say I got a first paw look at how cubs are made, courtesy of my parents. Needless to say, the typical speech followed there after. I hope I don’t have to explain that to you now, do I Honey?” Kiara stated, looking up at Kovu with an adorable, innocent stare. ”What about you, hmm? Or do I even want to know how your mom taught you about the birds and the bees?”
Finding their conversation quite intriguing, Kiara found herself snuggling closer to her precious mate, enjoying the little intimate moment that they were being allowed, if only verbally. Purring soothingly, Kiara reached a fore paw over, lightly placing it atop her mate’s, running her delicate paw toes along his much larger paw as she waited for a response from him.

The light was beginning to fade when Nala finally returned back to the main den, carrying a small pouch of herbs that she had retrieved from Rafiki. Realizing that she had taken longer than expected, the cream colored queen went right to work, attending to Mila’s wounds first, as the younger lioness’ injuries seemed to take priority within Nala’s mind, most likely due to the fact that Mila was as close to being her own daughter as one could possibly get. Having dealt with the prescribed herbs on several different occasions, Nala knew how to apply them, although often times, they would hurt when being applied to fresh wounds, but this sensation was short lived, as the miraculous healing attributes that the herbs held was worth the minor discomfort. Leaning down, Nala spoke quietly to Mila, unsure if the young lioness was awake or not.
”Mila Hun, I’m going to put some medicine on your cuts. Just keep still okay? It might sting a bit but I promise that they’ll help.”
Keeping her claws retracted, Nala dipped her fore paw into the pouch provided by the wise shaman, layering some of the strong smelling herbs onto her paw toes as she moved it over Mila’s visible injuries, lightly rubbing the pungent medicine over each and every laceration, trying to use as much care as possible.
