Rangi then got bored and then left the lioness to gasp for air, and then she turned to watch her sister. "How's it a-comin'?" She muttered.

Kuruka put a paw on the male's side, digging in her claws just to watch the blood trickle down. "I'd say this is success." she murmured. The male gave a heave and swiped at her, but she avoided--it hadn't been very well aimed. He growled out a raspy breath, and Kuruka drew her claws down his muzzle, tearing it up.

"Since you have it under control, I'm gonna see if Kucheza stayed." Rangi said, padding back to the bush, and happy to find her slave there.

Kuruka flicked an ear to show she'd heard, and then bent down and chewed a little on the male's ear. His breath rattled out. Then, it stopped, and she stepped back with a sickening smirk. She glanced over at the lioness, who was weeping and trembling, blood streaking her sides. "Nice meeting you," Kuruka cooed, before trotting away to find her sister.

Rangi nuzzled the young slave known as Kucheza and padded towards the river they'd cross to come and they'd have to cross to come back. It was also an excuse to wash off. She jumped in, Kucheza following.

She trotted along after the two, her tail held high and her violet eyes satisfied. She slowed as the reached the water's edge, then sprang in, a little regret that she'd be washing off the blood "trophy", but there wasn't a way around it. She paddled after Rangi and Kucheza, then clambered up on the opposite bank. She was excited to report back to the leader, to tell they had killed a male and wounded his mate.

Rangi let her sister take the lead, then trotted after her, and they eventually came home. Rangi let Kuruka talk to the leaders, she didn't really care. She and Kucheza broke off.

She slid along back into the main gathering place of the pride, which was a stony sandy spot. To the distant east the desert lay, and the west open savannah. Kuruka headed to find the leader, and gave a short report. She wasn't too fond of the pride really, and the less she interacted with them the better, aside from training. Still, it was nice to see the slight surprise on the leader's face when she reported. Kuruka stalked away in satisfaction, slinking back to a patch of stone she had come to see as "hers". At least for sleeping, and such. It was a good bit away from the pride, though still in range in case of an attack.

Rangi yawned and curled up to nap.

(Timeskip a year or so?)

[ah I guess.]

The sleek female sat on a rock, overlooking a desolate part of the savannah. Her narrowed violet gaze drifted casually, and a familiar slight smirk adorned her narrow muzzle. Nearly full-grown, she was primed and deadly. The lean lioness lifted a paw and slowly licked it, lazing about. She'd eaten earlier--taken down a young adolescent lioness and decided to snack on her. Kuruka licked her muzzle and yawned, then glanced around for her sister, ears twitching. She rose to her paws and stood still, then leapt off the stone with a graceful bound and came to a halt on the dusty ground.
