The Pride Lands (Zeke, NM, kovu42, morri908)

[Zeke]

Zeke didn't look back as he saw the rock getting closer. When they got up to it, Zeke swung around the back and dove into a cave like structure he had found at the last second on the backside of the large rock.

[kovu42]

Bakari lost sight of Zeke momentarily and then noticed the cave like structure, he dove in after Zeke. "Do you think they saw us?" he asked, trying to listen for the sounds of the hyenas outside.

[Zeke]

"I don't know," Zeke panted. "That was fun."

[kovu42]

"Yeah, fun." he said with a hint of sarcasm. He licked his paw slowly, trying to get the throbbing to die down. He could hear the hyenas getting a little closer again. "Ah, don't they ever give up!" he growled softly.

[Zeke]

"What now?" Zeke asked, looking over at the more experienced lion, looking for advice. "If they catch us in here, we're dinner."

[kovu42]

Bakari explored the cave thoroughly, searching for any kind of path or cavern. His mind scrambled but he could not come up with an answer and he was becoming increasingly agitated with himself. The hyenas were almost on top of them and he took to the shadows, flicking his tail to get Zeke to do the same.

[Zeke]

Zeke followed closely behind, hoping that the hyenas didn't pick up their scent.

The hyenas were too close and Bakari shrank back into the cave as the awful smell overwhelmed his nostrils. "Get back into the cave, hide in the shadows along the back wall." he ordered as silently as he could as he blended in along the darkened walls.

[Zeke]

Zeke slunk to the back wall, putting his left side up to the wall, for the white streak on his mane would surely give him away. He also attempted to hide his paws, but couldnt completely and just sat quietly, looking at Bakari.

He could hear the hyenas walking around the cave and their pawsteps seemed to continue moving along past the cave. Bakari began to relax a bit, letting his tense muscles ease up. "I think they're moving on," he whispered to Zeke.
