Jela noticed Sevvy shifting on her back. She growled irritatedly. "Stop! I can't run with you moving!" She shouted at him angrily. She threw a nervous glance at the beast who was starting to gain in them, then scoped out a cave with a small entrance a few hundred feet away. She pushed her legs to go faster. She sighed, relieved, as she slipped into the dark cave, hearing the Beasts jaws snap shut behind her. She lowered Sevvy to the ground,"Can you walk? Because we need to, we can't go out that way."

Sevvy moved his head up to her, and instantly regretted it. He gagged, and was nearly sick. 'Im sorry' he whispered, sounding so much like a cub it brought him back several years. He looked up at her from the floor. 'Jut go' he whispered 'You have a chance to get away, I don't. It's not worth both of us dying.'

Jela rolled her eyes. "Don't be such a drama queen!" She easily slipped under him again, once again supporting his weight. She continued deeper into the cave. She tried to ignore the fact that the dark recess made her whiskers twitch, and for once wished Sevvy would be a motormouth-the dark was unsettling.

Sevvy desperately tried not to wiggle. 'Sorry, sorry' he breathed, every time he wiggled. It was only ever a half hearted wiggle, because he was slowly losing feeling in his legs. He started to hyperventilate . Calm down, he thought. Make it easy for Jela

Jela stopped. "Are you okay? You're not wiggling...and it's started to psych me out." She frowned. "Maybe you should try walking. I'm not leaving you either way, but it wouldn't hurt you to try." She sighed.

'Ok' he said, grunting as he touched the floor. But he would try. For Jela. He breathed heavily as he tried to stand. 'Looks familiar, eh?' He grinned wryly, trying to get rid of Jela's frown. He grunted and stood, but collapsed down again. Jela made a move to pick him up, but he stopped her. 'You don't need to carry me, but can I lean on you?'

Jela shrugged. "Yes. If I'll carry you-you can lean on me." She let him lean on her narrow shoulder,"And what was familiar about that?"

'Oh yeah, you didn't see yourself' he got a glare from Jela 'Just trying to lighten the mood'. They stumbled along for a bit. 'What was that?' He asked. He meant the beast, and was actually quite curious.

Jela nodded,"Oh...I don't see the similarities between our situations. You had a tree dropped on you and I-" She stopped herslef."No, I don't know what that thing was. I do know it wanted to eat us or kill us or something and we are still alive." She shrugged.

Sevvy remained quiet. He was finding it increasingly difficult to breath, and he knew Jela could sense it. 'Can we stop for a bit' he asked, his voice weak. Without waiting for an answer, he stumbled down to the cool floor, and started to even out his brething.
