OOC: Just to inform everyone, Kinahra has chosen me to play as Simba, seeing how we're going to need him soon. ^^ It looks like no one else is willing to join this RP we have going here so if anyone can fill any other open slots for the important characters, it'll be greatly appreciated. ^^ I took into consideration of playing more than one character since I'm capable. Thus far, I'm enjoying this RP with you all and I hope we can keep this going for a long time. ^^

Sirom waited patiently for this Pridelander to exchange a few words with them. He was hoping to hear what he was expecting and nothing to disappoint neither of them. In mere moments, the young lion was greeted with the answer from the Pridelander and to his disconcert, she had refused them of hunting around these parts of the Pride Lands. What's even worse for their condition, she was offering them some help if they were to leave the Pride Lands. However, things can change pretty quickly and Sirom wasn't really liking this sort of idea that this lioness had planned out. If she was hoping for them to stay out of these Pride Lands for a long time without food, she's in for a big surprise. After she fell quiet, Sirom glanced over to Shani to notice the crafty like grin coming from his ebony muzzle lips and the choice of words he had in return for this new concurrence. He was astonished to know Shani was accepting this new change of events and hoped that whatever he was going at, it was the right choice. Without even glancing back at the Pridelander, Sirom turned around and followed close behind of Shani, having one of the most antagonize facial expressions ever. Surely enough, these Pridelanders were nothing more but depraved lions that only think for themselves, he wouldn't be surprised if this lioness doesn't keep her word.

When Shani and himself were nearing the borderline of the Outlands, the young lion glanced over to his king with frustration.

"Shani, I don't blame you for accepting this lioness's point of view but what if she doesn't keep her word? I mean, Sykara, you and me look pretty beat up without any good nutrition in our system. Look, if she doesn't comply to her words, I'll get us something in the Pride Lands at night when they're all asleep." Sirom suggested and knew something like this was beyond the bounds of possibility. What was their best solution to this problem?

Finally stepping in their own territory now, Sirom glanced over his shoulder to make sure that Sykara was joining them soon and he quite happy to see that she was doing fine. Even though he had met Shani and Sykara not too long ago, he already felt close to them, seeing how he was alone for the longest time so it was quite nice to have a Pride again. The frustrated lion took a seat on his haunches and briefly looked back to Shani.

"Your majesty, do you have any formulated plan if this Pridelander doesn't keep her word? I already gave you my poor suggestion since I'm pretty out of ideas right now..."
Sirom said softly, having almost a look of concern.

Meanwhile, in the Pride Lands, King Simba was still fast asleep within his sleeping quarters in Pride Rock. The king had shared many eventful days in his past and the dawning of a new day was growing upon him as the Great Circle of Life was shining within Pride Rock, causing Simba's eyes to squint and slowly open. Soon enough, he rose from the small spot he always slept at, conflicting a long yawn before rising up on all fours. He knew the duties that needed to be done for today and he was hoping that delinquent events wouldn't happen to do. Slowly glancing over to his mate Nala, Simba's orange mane swayed peacefully from the cool wind as he allowed his queen to enjoy a deep sleep as he slowly made his way towards the exit point of Pride Rock to catch the fresh air.

Scar was finally defeated for almost a long time and things in the Pride Lands had been a relaxing experience for them. However, there still lurks the possibilities of Scar's followers coming in these peaceful Pride Lands to cause harm to others. They were known to every Pridelander as the Outlanders. Simba had already banished all known traces of the Outlanders to the Outlands after Scar's defeat and made sure that each and every one of them wouldn't trespass in his territory. He knew the achievability these Outlanders can attain kinda made him feel uneasy about their growing Pride.

Upon giving a good look of the Pride Lands from above, Simba didn't see anything out of place and soon departed down the slope of Pride Rock to see if he can find any fellow Pridelander to tell him what has been happening recently.

[OOC: I'd be happy to play Nala if that's not a problem for anyone ;)]

Shani listened patiantly to Sirom's concerns. They were all valid, but he suspected that the young lion hadn't considered their situation fully. While they waited to see if the pridelander would be true to her words Shani explained his reasoning. He lay down on the uncomfortable and uneven ground of the outlands as he answered.

"It's all right Sirom. Don't worry. This was our best choice. This way there's a possibility, however slight, that we'll get a free meal and an ally in the pridelands. She seemed genuinely moved by your words, good job by the way. But if we had forced our way into the hunt and made a kill in defiance of her warning she'd be sure to report us to Simba out of spite if nothing else. If she betrays us here, we've lost nothing, we're just back to where we started, and we'll find another way to get our food."

Kinahra smiled as they started their retreat. Crap...I don't know how to hunt! Ahh! What have I gotten myself into? Rolling her eyes she sat watching a medium sized wildebeest walk aimlessly around the waterhole. Crouching low in the grass she watched as it got closer and closer. She clawed at the dirt, a trick her father had taught her, and got ready to race. As soon as it was close enough she darted out of her hiding spot and began her chase.

It took a few minutes for Kinahra to dig her claws into the side of the creature but as soon as she did it wasn't hard to bring the animal down. With one quick bite to the neck the beast lay still. Breathing heavily she dragged the animal toward the three outsiders. Sighing she dropped the creature's carcass infront of them. "There. You can have my first kill." Kinahra was quite pleased with herself. She had made her first kill, and it wasn't have bad. She plopped herself down and took deep breaths. It took a bit out of her and she wanted to rest a bit. Not to mention get to know these new faces. "I'm Kinahra. Who are you?"

Despite his reassuring words, Shani had little hope that the pridelander would actually take the trouble to hunt for them. It was therefore, a surprise to him when scant moments later she returned bearing a fresh kill and dropped it at their feet. He'd scrambled to his feet when he first noticed her approaching, but relaxed hiding a very satisfied smile.

"We're grateful miss Kinahra." he said gravely, nodding to the young pridelander in respect. He then spoke to his two friends and pridemembers. "Go on, eat your fill." he said. Shani saw that there was more than enough for even two starving lions, and after all, as pride leader he could demand the first share of any future kills if he needed it, which made him secure in his decision to let the others take the first crack at their gift-wildebeest.

"I'm curious though, why did you help us?" Shani fixed Kinahra wish a keen stare, partly genuinely curios, but also trying to gauge whether she'd report the incident to Simba.

Kinahra sat up just enough to look at the speaking male. "Well, I decided to help you because I hate the stupid law that banishes other lions. Its stupid and just leads to death. So, I try to help where I can." She looked at the lion with a smile. "But, since we're playing twenty questions...what made you trust me? I mean, I could have easily left to tell Simba or another pridelander...why stick around?"

She genuinly wanted to know, and there was a part of her that wanted to know everything and anything there was to know about these three...why were they traveling together...why come here...why stay here? She pushed the thoughts from her head and tried to pay attention for when the one in front of her started speaking again...It was rude to ignore a pridelander when they spoke, it was deadly to ignore an outsider.

OOC: sorry i havnt posted in a while

By this time of day Kivuli was heading towards Priderock. The water had taken care of his thirst and a catch of a small zebra had settled his hunger. The distance was not too far to priderock, but it was long enough to allow kivuli to think. What would he do when he came face to face with Simba? Would the fight or talk? Kivuli was ot sure. As with most things he decided to just wait and see.

As his paws gently unsettled the dirt as he walked, and his grey fur brushed through the grass, another thought entered his head. Was Simba even the king? It had been quite a while since Kivuli had been home. Maybe a new King now ruled Priderock

[OOC: Crap, I haven't posted here in a while ;) Let me see if I can try and catch up. ]

Sykara tried to turn around and leave the Pridelander's sight, when she saw that Shani and Sirom were having a rather long (now) discussion with the Pridelander. "Kinahra?" she murmured very softly, her whiskers twitching around back and forth, over and over. She looked at the piece of kill and began to nibble on it. As she ate it, her taste buds felt numbed by regret; regret that she was easily accepting a "gift" from a lion that she had just met, and a lion that was from where her old, dead enemies were. Thinking about hating Scar, who was now dead, made Sykara feel her regret even more. She barely even knew Simba. But I can't go back from these lions now...
"Us? The reason why we bothered to come here is just to get some decent prey. We knew it was risky, but we still...eh." She shut her eyes completely. I bet I messed something up there...

Sirom looked over to Shani and listened closely to what he was saying about how it was their best choice to take this Pridelander's advice. He was hoping she'll at least give them something good to eat at a time like this and if things didn't really go according to plan, the young lion knew for sure Shani will do something about this. Beginning to lower his haunches to the bumpy ground, Sirom's attention soon focused over to where Sykara was located, he watched her pad along towards where they are with the Pridelander coming on in close as well. Even though he barley knew of this Pridelander, Sirom wasn't going to allow this suspicious lioness get the better of them, even if it was for food. Having second thoughts at the moment, he didn't realize that Kinahra caught them something rather small, a decent sized meal that will partially fill their stomachs up. At a time like this, it was definitely better then nothing and Sirom's rumbling stomach was eager to have his share of the grub. Upon listening to Kinahra's words, he glanced over to her with uncertainly and just let his name slipped out.

"My name's Sirom, I've been traveling for sometime in these harsh Outlands for many years. At one point, I was in the Pride Lands but King Simba banished me with the others. Supposedly, he thought I was a Outlander by the way I look, it's my guess." He replied in a soft low tone, beginning to listen to Shani mention to Sykara and himself that they were allowed to get their fill of the food.

"I'll save the best parts for your share, Shani. I appreciate you for letting us to eat first, I'm grateful for that." Sirom mentioned and flashed a smile towards the Outlander king before proceeding where their wildebeest remained.

Sirom ate his share of the wildebeest, saving enough grub and the tasty parts for Shani to eat. He licked over his stained, ebony muzzle lips to get any traces of meat off of them before looking over to Sykara and then to Kinahra. The young lion finally caught her name this time around and he listened on in to the Pridelander's words in explanation to why she helped them. Not wanting to interfere with Kinahra and Shani's conversation, he consoled himself for the time being by sitting on a more smooth surface while giving a good fleeting look to see if there is anyone else here besides Kinahra.

King Simba made his way towards their familiar waterhole source, giving a good glance of his own reflection to see a more resemblance of his father. He really did want to follow in his father's paw prints and make sure things in the Pride Lands remained safe and healthy for everyone. Things were looking calm for the time being and he hadn't suspected anything out of the ordinary for the past couple of days, even numerous of passing suns.

Leaning down to get a few licks of the cool refreshing water, Simba quenched his thirst with fresh water and took a seat by the water's edge, thoroughly looking around to check if anyone was coming by. He did caught something not too far from where he was sitting, the figure was at a great distance to make out anything and he wasn't sure if it was a Outlander or not. The king rose up on all fours and noticed this strange figure was heading towards Pride Rock.

"Strange, I wonder who this could be." Simba thought.

Shani was surprised by this rebellious young lion's view of her king's policies. It was one thing to help out lions in need in spipe of rules, but Kinahra was helping them to spite the rules. Shani was now more comfortable with his decision to trust her. A lioness that subverted her king because she disapproved of his laws wasn't one that would turn them over when they were no threat to her.

Shani picked up where Sykara had left off, his voice was deep and measured. "And as for trusting you, If neither one of us trusted each other we'd be in a much more difficult situation right now. If we hadn't trusted you we would at least have to make sure that you didn't tell anyone about what we were doing here. I'm glad you were willing to give us a meal to spare us all that unplesantness."

Sirom had finished his portion of the meal, leaving a generous helping for Shani, which pleased the leader. This was a lion that knew that every lion in a pride had to be ready to support the next or else the community disintegrated. He waited a moment more for Sykara to finish her meal.

[[OOC: About time I posted in here]]

Meanwhile, unaware of what was happening at the edge of the Outlands and Pridelands, a young lioness was taking a walk through the Pridelands. She was a bit hungry, since she had decided to skip breakfast, but she was sure she could find something. She continued walking, stopping every now and then to take a look at her surroundings. There was hardly anything in sight. Well, not anything unusual, anyway. She was about to continue her walk when she saw a figure coming towards Pride Rock. She was close enough to see it was a male, but she couldn't see who it was. I guess Simba got up early this morning for a walk. She thought to herself. So, ignoring the creature, she kept walking. It wasn too long till she spotted a zebra herd. She wasn't sure if she should go for it, but considering she missed breakfast, she decided to give it a go. She crouched down and crawled till some grass could cover her. She hadn't even come close to the zebra yet, but she was always careful during a hunt. Her eyes looked at every zebra, she was looking for the weakest one, but they all seemed pretty healthy. Of course, they live in the Pridelands. She thought, but decided to keep on going. She crawled slowly towards the herd. The sun heating up her back, but she continued. She was built for this. No reason why she shouldn't be able to do it. By the time she had gotten closer, the herd seemed to have doubled. What am I? Blind? She thought for a moment, but got right back to looking at the zebras. Hmm... She spotted a baby zebra, it would be easy for her to kill. She would hate to end a life that had just begun, but she had been told that all she does is part of the great circle of life. She slowly put one paw in front of the other, and then did it again. Tracking the animal was no problem for her. She just didn't enjoy killing very much. Her brown eyes kept the baby zebra in sight. She couldn't let her eyes get off the prize this time. She took a deep breath than leaped for it. Within seconds she was right next to the baby and it's mother. She kept on running. She was about to bite when she realized she was surrounded by them. She could take whichever one she wanted. Come on, Buffy! You can do this! She thought to herself, but with her losing breath as she ran and thinking at the same time, the zebras got away. "Oh! Who am I kidding? I'll never be able to catch my own zebra!" She said to herself in an annoyed kind of way. She was just happy no one witnessed it. Now, she had two choices, to go back to Pride Rock and possibly get some breakfast with some other lionesses, or she could look for a waterhole. She felt the pain in her thirsty throat. "Water, I guess..." She took a moment to feel the very little breeze that existed, and decided to follow it. She hoped it would get her some water. Even if there wasn't any water that way, she knew the Pridelands had water all over it. So the black lioness, who had just failed a hunt that she was able to do about a year ago, moved on with the breeze.
