[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

"Oh, I see. Sorry." Geni was certain that by the looks of the lioness' eyes that she was quite afraid of her size. Chuckling, she said, "no, don't worry, I mean no harm. I'm just like this because of my hunting. Do you live here?" She could only hope so. If not, what else was she to do?

"No. I found my way here after my mate exiled me. I haven't eaten in days. I just want a place to rest and recover from my journey," Regina said, briefly remembering how cruel and hateful her mate had been in exiling her.

Geni stood with eyes of shame. "Alright, turns out I just found my way here also. I'm gonna go searching for some food." She padded away from the lioness.

"Thank you," Regina said as she laid down to rest and await the coming meal. Finally, she could rest her weary body.

Geni noticed the lioness was extremely out of health, but before she dissapeared, she knew she had to know her name. "Oh, by the way, I'm Geni. What's your name?" Geni looked back over her shoulder at her seemingly new friend.

"My name is Regina. Thank you for your help," Regina said, eager to finally have food and a companion.

She smiled elated. "Your welcome." With that, Geni ran out of the termite mound to a place with actual food, not pesky termites or worthless field mice.

"You have my eternal gratitude," Regina said before relaxing once more and dreaming of fresh meat. Meanwhile, near Pride Rock, Simba was enjoying Nala's company. The night and its stars were perfectly reflective of her. He looked to the stars. "Thank you for giving me the greatest parts of my life," he whispered to the great kings. He then leaned in and licked Nala.

Zira was, at first, irritated by his silence, but then she noticed the slight smile on his face. Instantly, and without knowing it, she took that to mean three things: I'm sorry, I really do care, and calm down. And she did. Peace engulfed her suddenly (which was really strange for her) and forgave him silently. "So, kid, what's your name?"

She smiled and licked his cheek back, "They never tell you the trouble cubs get into." she said chuckling lightly. She looked to Simba and nuzzled his mane purring softly, "They were surprised about how I handled the lioness." she said smirking slightly.

Monstro looked to Zira and shrugged, "I don't know who this cub is. She came through the back entrance and she said shes looking for a home." he spoke calmly. He watched Zira's anger fade and he watched her closely nodding to her, "Come cub, you can stay here." he said giving in to the smallness of the helpless creature. He made his way outside of the den and he stuck his paw up pushing Zira back, "Wait.." he ordered. He creeped low to the ground, smells and sounds filling his head. He stepped out into the night and his mustard eyes caught both Geni and he growled. "Who are you!" he asked stepping up to both chattering females.


Diamante' explored more of the elephant graveyard, unaware that Kovu had followed her. She heard a snap of a bone and looked behind her, she could smell him. Diamante' shook her head, "Kovu...? " she whispered.
