Delano looked embarrassed. "Yeah. Those two. They might be wondering where we went off to." He yawned loudly. "It'll be nice to check on them once we finish here." He was about to say something else when he felt a shadow loom over him.

"Getting ready to start on the patrol?" It was the trainer, checking on everyone. "Remember, it won't necessarily be as easy as it was yesterday. So get ready for anything."

Delano rolled his eyes briefly as the trainer walked away. "I'm sure that Kasi would like to see us at least once more," he told Kasi, "If only to show him that we aren't dead yet."


Umeme looked back and say Lina. "Hey, good morning." She greeted her friend. "I was just talking with Kasi."

Muroki looked up at the trainer and got up as he walked away. "Well, let's get this over with. I don't think there's much left to do." he said, waiting for his brother to get up before following the trainer. What the trainer said about them being ready for anything brought some suspicion up, since it was pretty obvious the trainer still had some tricks up his sleeve. Maybe not for the rest of the trainees, but for Muroki and Delano there was a higher chance that paying attention would be necessary.


Lina smiled, "I heard." As much as she wanted to ask Umeme about yesterday now, she knew it could wait a little.

Delano nodded and followed Muroki. Once again, the brothers lead the group on the patrol, now in unfamiliar territory. As Delano looked around, he saw that for the most part, it looked the same as the surrounding savanna plains. It all looked peaceful, but at the back of his mind, Delano thought that what they should be looking the most out for would be the trainer.

They continued to walk for a long time, and Delano thought that they appeared to be already going in the other direction compared to the day before. "Do you think we're more than half-way done?" He asked Muroki. "I think we're going backwards now."


Umeme felt nervous all of the sudden. "Oh. How much did you hear?" She asked, nervous for some reason.

Muroki looked at his brother after a while in which they both lead the entire group. "I hope we are. It's getting a little annoying that we have to do everything and the others just watch." he was about to say that it looked like the trainer was doing that because he was waiting for them to mess up, but he knew that it didn't just look like it. "If I remember correctly we should be done here after today."


Lina looked at her friend, "Um, starting from 'wake up Kasi'..." she then noticed that her friend seemed to be nervous, "What's the matter?"

"Let the others watch all they want," Delano replied, "I don't really care about what they do. But the sooner we're out of here, the better." He mentally went over what Kasi said about the size of the territory. "We'll only finish if nothing will happen today." He answered. "Otherwise it's sleeping outside again..." he looked back at the others. "And knowing the trainer, I don't think that we're finishing today."


Umeme looked at the ground. "Oh," she looked at Lina, trying to look normal. "Nothing's wrong..." She said hurriedly.

Muroki knew that his brother was making sense, "Well, this is better than runninng." much better than running. But what would be even better was getting done with that thing and leaving.


Lina looked at her friend curiously, "Is this anyhow related to your sudden agression yesterday? Because I was going to ask you about that sometime today." she waited to see how her friend would react. In her opinion, she and Muroki would be a really cute couple.

"Yeah. Better than running." Delano repeated. "Do you have any idea on how many more days we will spend here?" This new regiment certainly felt like they were getting close to the end, but with the trainer, more than anything, it was another trick of his. But then another question popped into his mind. "Hey, Muroki..." Delano searched for how he wanted to phrase it. "What would you do to be able to live a normal life?"


Umeme was trapped. "I err... yeah, it's related," she admitted, "I don't know why I lost my temper with Kasi," she looked and saw that Kasi had walked away to be alone, "so I wanted to apologize."

Muroki was kind of surprised at his brother asking such a question, since it was not related at all to what they were talking about. "Um, I dunno..." he thought about how he should answer this. "I guess just live my life..." he was going to give the typical 'start a family' answer but he didn't want Delano to somehow become suspicious. If he knew that anybody knew he liked Umeme it would drive him crazy.


Lina noticed that Kasi left, "Okay, Kasi's gone. You can tell me why it happened now." she said with an eager expression.

"No, I mean, what if our parents never got murdered..." Delano said, "What if we left, not because they died, but because we simply wanted to leave? What would you have done?" The reason he thought of the question was because for a moment, he actually wondered if they were doing the right thing. "Kasi didn't want us to do this..."


Umeme frowned. "Like I said, I don't know..." She thought about it some more. "It's like, I don't know... Like I miss Muroki or something." She realized what she said, and her ears fell flat. "Just don't tell Kasi, alright?"

Muroki then thought. "Oh..." he sighed, "Yeah, he didn't." maybe they really shouldn't be doing this. What will they achieve if they did ever find the lions responsible and did manage to kill them? It wont bring their parents back. He then thought about his brother's question again. "Well... most lions who leave at that age leave to find mates... So, I guess that's what I would do."


Lina smiled a huge smile, "Aww, that's so adorable!" she hoped that Umeme understood that she could be as open as she wanted with her. "Don't worry, you know I wont tell if you don't want me to."
