Zira just scoffed at her wounds. "Looks like the work of Nala, Queen of the Pridelands. And she had her cubs with her, then?"

Kiara noticed her father. "Dad!" She cried running at Simba. "Mom fought a strange smelling lioness!" She cried, hugging his leg. Also, answering his question. She whipped her tears across his leg, and stared up at him with glowing eyes. "Why didn't you help dad?" She asked, staring up at him.

"You were too far off, Kiara. I wouldn't have heard you if I tried. I'm just happy you four are all right. Now, tell me about this lioness," Simba said, worried about the newcomer.

Nala's blue eyes looked down at her cubs and she sighed, "Listen kids, go see grandma. Your father and I need to talk." she ordered sternly. As the cubs made their way towards Sarafina, Nala spoke up. "I hope you 3 know I can protect you on my own, I don't always need your fathers help." she said her feelings hurt slightly. She was able to protect her cubs as well as Simba and her eyes looked back at her mate. "A ebony lioness was watching us, the cubs noticed her first. She was upwind from them and I guess Kopa spotted her first, then Chaka and Kiara last." she stated softly. She watched the cubs play, "She pinned me down and I attacked back, but..." her eyes looked at Simba. "The lioness retreated to the outlands.." she said growling softly.

Sarafina nodded as the cubs went to play with her while their parents talked, "Would you cubs like to hear the story about how Simba won back Pride rock?" she whispered softly. She laid to her belly on the cold stone and her green eyes watched the cubs closely, thoughts going through her mind.

Diamante' nodded, "I was just watching at first. But when she ordered me to come out I fought back and pinned her. She scratched me and I came back here." she admitted softly. "There were 3 cubs and another green eyed lioness with them." she mumbled. Diamante' looked to Mostro and she felt her tummy grumble from hungry pains.


Mostro looked at the lionesses and Kovu, "Ill scrounge up some food. Stay here." he ordered disappearing into the borderlands of the two areas.

Simba listened to every word Nala said. "We must be on alert. I will tell the pride to look out for this ebony lioness," he said.

Chaka looked up at Sarafina in amazement. "You mean the story of how great-uncle Scar died?" His eyes sparked with enthusiasm.

"But.. I wanna come!" Kovu exclaimed, but Monstro was already too far away. "Why can't I ever go, mom?" "You are too young, dear. But don't worry. You will learn to hunt far before other lions your age will."

Simba was thinking about what had just happened. "I wonder if Zira sent her," he said to Nala. He then sighed. "Out of all the lionesses on the savannah, I get the psychotic one as my aunt," he said.

"Cool!" Kopa exclaimed, grinning. While his smile was wide, his thoughts were troublesome.
