The new danger in the land

He turned away without saying a word. He stood up and walked to the other side of the den with a frown on his face. Not because he was mad, but because what she said was true. And it hurt even more. You could still hear his bones trying to snap back into place from the rock slide. And every now and then he still coughed up a little blood. All he could think to himself was "...I wish that rock slide killed me...then she'd never have to deal with me ever again."

A few seconds later, Rafiki walked over to Marini in order to check on her and the cubs. She quickly told him that she was fine and asked him to check on Tua instead.

[Adofo]

Rafiki: What's wrong?
Tua: .....I'm just.....I need help. .....It feels like I'm fighting myself inside. .....I keep upsetting Marini.....I was so mad I started clawing the walls and thats when those rocks fell on top of me. It was because of my anger and my problems that I almost got myself killed.....and Marini...I feel like she doesn't understand. .....It feels like I want to be like this. That I can prevent it.....but I can't! I really really can't!
He started crying a few tears
Tua: .....She is so upset with me.....I feel like our marriage is crumbling out from under me! .....For all I know she'd leave me tomorrow! .....And I wouldn't blame her. .....I never asked to be like this...and she didn't expect it. What a good woman needs is to have a man. A true man. Someone that solves problems...not make more.....like I've said before.....I've never deserved her.....she's way too good for me in every way! She only deserves the best of the best.....and.....that's far from me.....that rock slide should have just gotten rid of me once and for all.....it'd be for the best for everyone...

Marini meanwhile bathed her 3 newborns, trying to clear her head.

Rafiki: .....I see.....I'll be back.
He walked back over to the VIce Queen.
Rafiki: Marini.....I think I know what the problem is.....I think your mate is.....mentally depressed.

Marini looked confused. "Meaning?""she asked.

[Adofo]

Rafiki: Meaning.....he is very sick. He needs a lot of help. I don't think you or anyone else caused it.....it can just be a natural part of life that you keep prevent. But there is only so much we can do. When he starts dumping on himself, that is really how he feels. Fighting him about it.....will only make things much worse. He even told me...he's been so insensitive about this whole thing that its gotten on your nerves so much.....if you left him tomorrow, he wouldn't be surprised. And......one more thing......he wishes that......that the rock slide...should have killed him...so he'd never bother you again. This is a serious matter.....arguing and fighting.....will only push him further. Up to the point where.....he'll take his own life.

It took Marini a long time to respond. "Then what can we do?"

Rafiki: You have a huge impact on him. Just give him all the love that you can. Don't bash him when he makes a mistake. Tell him that its okay. Or it was a nice try. YOU are his whole world.....but he thinks that because of his illness that it's driving you away. That soon, you'll have had enough and leave him behind. He needs you now more than ever.

Marini sighed and slowly nodded her head. She remembered doing just that on many occasions, but perhaps her patience really was starting to wear thin. She needed to remember this. "What about his injuries?"
