Meanwhile, Taya was wondering what was going on. Some of the lionesses from the Outlands looked a bit nervous, it looked like the news had traveled fast within the pride.

Dotty decided go to Taya when she saw her. "Zira's former lover Kali has come to the Pridelands to retrieve Vitani. I doubt the queen will abandon us though," she said.

Vitani nodded, "Alright." at least she was somewhat more confident now. "Thank you."

Taya smiled nervously,
"Oh, thanks for telling me...". She looked over to see where Vitani was, as she was her best friend, she thought she might go to her. Taya decided to see her as soon as she had a free moment.

Nala nodded. "Very good. Remember, stay strong and do not falter. You will overcome," she said as she disappeared.

Dotty nodded. "You're welcome, Taya. Remember, the king ruled that if anyone leaves, they must have a companion with them," she explained.

Vitani looked at Nala's ghost untill it fully vanished, before looking at her mate. "Why didn't you say anything?" it was a little wierd for her that Kopa didn't use this chance to talk with his mother.

Kopa offered a small smile. "I was too shocked that it happened. I had heard of it happening, like with my father and his father, but never thought I would actually witness it. In other words, I was speechless," he said.

Vitani smiled, nuzzling her mate gently, "Well, It's natural I guess. Beside, maybe one day you'll have another chance of speaking with her, or maybe with your father."

Kopa sighed. "Yeah, or even both of them," he said. He looked at Vitani. "Do you want to go to the top of Pride Rock and get away for a bit?" he asked.

Vitani smiled, "Actually, yeah, I think that's just what we both need right now..." to get away from everything... The top of Pride Rock was a perfect spot for that.
