Sarabi nodded, looking once more at the sky and walking beside Sarafina to the cave, hoping that some good will come out of this.

(I think we should time skip 2 months, so Sarafina is well into pregnancy and the Pridelands are starting to go bad)

[Maleficent]

Sarafina looked down at Nala. She was still sleeping. Sarafina sighed and looked out at the pridelands. Everything looked so dead now that Simba and Mufasa were gone. It didn't help that it was becoming quite obvious that she was pregnant. Sarabi hadn't said anything yet, but Sarafina was sure that she had noticed.

When the rest of the pride finally awoke, they're was some low chatter about the lack of food and those stupid hyena's. Sarabi awoke to find Sarafina awake, tummy bigger than it was the other day. She lent towards her, "Saffy, who's the father?", she asked, quietly.

[Maleficent]

Sarafina jumped nervously and looked around at Sarabi. Hoping that Sarabi wasn't talking about what she thought she was talking about, Sarafina asked in a quivering voice, "W-what was that, Sarabi?"

[Lillian]

Sarabi rolled her eyes and smiled, "Who's the father Saffy, I know your pregnant, it's pretty obvious".

[Maleficent]

"It's that obvious?" Sarafina asked with a nervous look. "Does everyone know? The father is...uh...the king."

[Lillian]

Sarabi's eyes widened, "Woah, really? That means the cub is a heir doesn't it? What has the King said about it?". Sarabi paused for a moment, "Yeah Saff, it's pretty obvious".

[Maleficent]

"Yes, that's exactly what if means," Sarafina said before blushing. Making sure nobody else was listening, Sarafina leaned close to Sarabi and murmured, "He wants me to be his queen."

[Lillian]

Sarabi gasped, "Really?". She thought about it for a moment, "If you want to...you go for it, your cub could bring the Pridelands back to life, but if you don't want to do it Saffy, you don't have to. I know how you feel about him".

[Maleficent]

Sarafina nodded sadly and thought about what Sarabi was saying. Finally, she said, "On one paw, I would do it for the cub's sake. On the other paw, I would be miserable and what would happen to Nala? I'm convinced Scar would be the worst father there could be, don't you agree?"
