Simba smiled. I don't know what I would have done without you. he said. They mean well, and are quite capable, but they were also perfectly willing to ignore me if I wanted them to. I don't think it's always the wisest choice. I'm sure we'll be fine with them. For some reason, he felt like Kamari knew a few answers that Timon could only start guessing at.

Kamari, he started asking, but stopped. He waited for a long time, just sitting there and letting the world move on, that Kamari had to nudge him to get him to finish his question. What do you think? The world, it's so complicated. What can one being like you do, in all its madness? It was a question he wanted to ask someone, for he had plenty of time to think about it after running away, but no one to ask. Timon simply rebuffed it when he tried asking. Claimed it was one of life's greatest mysteries.

[Daenerys]

Kamari sighed. "The world is the world. You can't change it. The world is the way the world is. You should be happy you are alive Simba. In this wonderful place. To me, you can't do anything. The major event like this tragic one you had, cannot be changed. Listen Simba, I know a little bit more then our little group does. Trust me Simba." He smiled, "It's about high time we got to sleep huh?" he gave his friend another hug. "Why don't you sleep next to me to me tonight?"

Simba got up. After Kamari suggested sleep, Simba realized how tired he really was. Yeah, we need to head back. He yawned. He then turned and quickly hugged Kamari again. He couldn't express his thanks with words alone. Kamari was a great friend in a time when he really needed one. But Simba knew that he would need to live in a way that earned such a friend.

He let Kamari free of his embrace and smiled. Friends? he asked. He was glad they found Kamari. He felt like he had some meaning in life again.

OCC: I gotta go now
Kamari smiled "Friends!". He sat down next to Pumbaa and Simba cuddled up next to him. "Sweet dreams buddy." Kamari said, his fluffy tail around Simba like a security blanket. Simba smiled and fell asleep, along with Kamari.

Simba followed Kamari back to Timon and Pumbaa. He lay down, and Kamari settled next to him. He felt the cheetah's tail curl up around him, and it felt comfortable and protective. Simba smiled and leaned closer to Kamari. The two would be inseparable from now on.

As soon as Simba closed his eyes, the hauntings returned. But this time, Simba didn't panic. He knew that it would be a long time until his inner demons totally left him, but for now, the knowledge that Kamari was there for him, Simba was not afraid anymore. He settled for an uneasy, but possible sleep. He had a friend. His name was Kamari. Nothing would change that. His thoughts seemed to lift their burden off of him a little. Kamari was there.

"Don't panic buddy."

Don't Panic buddy. Those were the last words that Simba heard before he fell asleep. Kamari's body offered a comfortable place to lean on as he slept, something he didn't do with Timon and Pumbaa. The warmth radiating from the cheetah offered a tranquil feeling he hadn't felt for a long time.

The next morning, Pumbaa woke up when the sun's rays hit his eyes. He slowly got up and yawned. He paused when he saw Simba and Kamari huddled up together. Pumbaa slowly prodded Timon awake. Timon started to complain loudly, but was quited by Pumbaa.

Timon, look at them. Pumbaa said, motioning at the two cubs. Simba and Kamari continued to sleep, unaware of their surrounding.

ooc: why the one line? It gave me almost nothing to build on.

OCC: Because I only had the time to write one line down lol.

Timon was shocked at the to little furballs snuggled together. "Wow, I didn't know they'd be THAT good of friends." Timon said quietly. Pumbaa nodded and sighed. "I'm feeling great today Pumbaa, I just ate too many grubs!"

Because they stayed up so late, Simba and Kamari slept in late. It was around 10:00 when Timon and Pumbaa tried to waked them up. "Come on guys, you can't sleep in forever!" Timon slight pushed on Kamari's paw, then Simba's paw. "Kid! Wake up!"

Simba slept peacefully for the first time since he ran away. The only problem was the rude awakening. As he slept, Simba thought that something was pushing against his body rather hard. He felt one of his paws rise, only to fall and hit the ground painfully. This was too much to ignore, Simba opened his eyes slowly, and was surprised to see Timon right in front of him. Ow, Timon, what was that for? he asked. He slowly got up, and saw Pumbaa waking Kamari up. What time is it? he asked.

Pumbaa successfully woke up. As the cheetah also got up, yawning loudly, Pumbaa heard Simba ask about the time. It's rather late in the morning. he replied. The sun's up quite high. You need to get up. Besides, there are plenty of things to do throughout the day besides sleep. Timon was already heading into the jungle, motioning for them to follow.

Kamari stretched, "Boy, what a night that was, huh Simba?" Kamari asked. Timon was getting breakfast ready, "Ready for breakfast kid?" Simba and Kamari nodded. Timon smiled, "Breakfast's up!" he tossed a leaf plate in front of Simba and Kamari and tossed a bunch bugs onto their plates. "Here you go kids! Eat up your healthy breakfast!" Simba looked at it with disgust while Kamari quickly cleaned his plate, "I was hungry!"
