[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

"You're back then.....where...the...hell...did....you....go?" Sarafina whispered/hissed. She also turned her attention to her daughter. "Her name is Nala, why you've come back and you're interested, I don't know".

"I went back to being a rogue after I left. Scar told me about you and Nala. It was he who convinced me to return. When he informed me that I now had a cub, I knew that I just couldn't keep on roaming," Shujaa explained. He hoped that this was a good enough explanation.

Sarafina thought for a moment, "Why would Scar do that.......". She looked up and Shujaa and smiled slightly, "I don't know yet, it's to early to make up my mind Shujaa, it's been quite a long time". Sarafina trailed of as Nala opened her bright blue eyes. She gasped, "She's beautiful!". Nala looked up at her mother and smiled a cub smile, she then looked over at Shujaa, she looked up at him and shuffled away a bit. "I expect she's a little scared because you so tall" Sarafina said quietly.

Shujaa smiled. "Just give me a chance, Sarafina. I won't leave you again," he stated. He then looked at Nala and offered his paw. "Don't be afraid, little one," he said in a gentle tone.

Scar supposed he couldn't do anything more, so he returned to his cave. "Where have you been? I'm starving!" When she noticed he had no food, she growled at him. Then Scar noticed a cub in her arms. It looked more like Zira than him, and it was a girl besides. But he was kinda stuck with her, so he lay down.

The lioness who had told Scar of who Nala's father was noticed the king's brother leaving the den. She wanted to see what he was up to, so she followed him to his and Zira's den. "Scar, what mad..." she began as she entered. However she was cut off upon seeing the newborn cub between Zira's paws. "Well, I guess I better go and tell the king about the birth of his niece. I wonder what the cub will be named," the lioness said as she left.

Sarabi walked outside to get some air, she had had another lioness babysit Simba while she unwound a bit. This was a rather stessfull couple of days for her. "Two cubs in one week, she thought, I'll have to double our efforts on the hunt." She hoped Mufassa could trust Shujaa alone for a few minuites, and join her. But her thoughts were interrupted as she noticed one of the lioness's returning in a hurry.

The lioness saw Sarabi and bowed. "Your highness, Scar and Zira's cub has been born. I'm was just on my way to tell Mufasa about his new niece," she stated.

"So, uh, Scar," began Zira, after calming down. They hadn't noticed the lioness enter, or exit, for that matter. "You say you have a plot. You know, to be king." "Yes... I do." "And?" Scar rolled his eyes and said, "Well, it involves hyenas." "Are you mad?" "No!" he growled, "But they are a vital weapon. I will lead Simba into the gorge..."

OOC: All right, it's time for the big moment.

As the lioness was talking with Sarabi, Zazu flew over and landed near them, asking what was going on. After learning about Scar and Zira's newborn, he went and told Mufasa and then flew over to Scar's den to announce the king's coming. This time, however, he landed on the roof of the den so that he remained out of sight. "Congratulations Scar and Zira! King Mufasa is coming to see your newborn!" he shouted so that they could hear him.
