[Private] KingKivuli, Zeke and Amanda

[Zeke]

"Mhm," Zeke mumbled as he looked around. He spotted the wound on Kivuli's leg which looked pretty bad; he wondered how he could even stand on it. "What happened to your leg?" He asked, keeping it short. The rain had cleaned up the wound pretty good and now exposed what lay under the shredded skin. It was a truly grotesque gash, yet it seemed almost self-inflicted, not through a fight.

Kivuli looked at he mark that was shredded int ohis leg 'Oh this? I got it saving a young cub from the nearby pride. She was jsut playing around when a hyena got to her. I saved her. The she wanted to show me her home and we started racing. Unfortuntaly she slipped down a nearby crevice. I jumped to save her. I got her and myself out, but a sharp rock caught my leg. Then i had a very painful walked to here carrign her which onyl made things worse.' Kivuli then looked over at Priderock although the rain was cloudign his vision 'Thankfully that young cub got me the help i needed. Now my wound will heal. It will leave a scar but for the msot part i will be back to normal in a few days' Kivuli then looked at Zeke again. He could still not believe that a young lion coudl survive what happend

[Zeke]

"Well you shouldn't be out here walking around. Just make it hurt more," Zeke said, looking back down at the gash. "And you should probably get back before anyone starts to worry about you. Last thing I want is a search party around here." He sat down as the water dripped from the tree and bounced off his mane.

[KingKivuli]

Kivuli looked at Zeke then lay down 'The lionesses that know me and the king are out. Why do you fear being found? The pride is good and the king is fair' Kivuli looked back at his leg 'As for this, dont worry i have been through worse. We both have'

[Zeke]

"How do you know they are fair? Maybe they are just putting on a facade, trying to mold you into one of their own," Zeke said, his voice cold and monotone. "One day they could be your friends and the next, they could claw you in the back. Don't trust lightly my friend, it could be your downfall."

[KingKivuli]

'I never lightly trust lions' said Kivuli 'but bare in mind, i am a complete stranger and look what they did for me' Kivuli looked over at priderock 'They do not have bad intensions'

[Zeke]

"Hmph...I still don't buy it," He said, staring toward the large vertical rock. "If I were you, I'd stay away from them." He stopped abruptly and thought of saying what was really on his mind but went against it. Instead, he sat quietly under the tree staring at the ominous rock in the middle of the drenched savanna.

[Panda-chan]

The rest of the lionesses, however, were annoyed. "Well what are we going to eat now?" one of them grumbled. They were quickly answered by the triumphant roar of a lioness pinning the squirming male zebra to the ground. Before Amanda had a chance to feel sympathy for it, it was dead.
There was much cheering as the lioness brought the soaked zebra carcass to the small group of five. Semira looked around and smiled satisfactorily as two other lionesses trotted over with their kill. There would be enough food for everyone tonight.
Everyone was dripping with rain. By now all the other zebras had left to find some shade, except for the mother zebra and her baby. Instead, she walked over to Amanda, and lowering her head, whispered, "Thank-you so much, young cub, for saving my baby. Someday I'll make it up to you." With that, she beckoned to her child, who was splashing in puddles, and left. The other lionesses looked regretfully as the pair disappeared in the rain.
"Well, are we going or not?" a lioness broke the silence, "I'm freezing my tail off!"
"Yes, let's go, now, before we drown in all this rain." another one agreed.
Semira motioned for all the lionesses to come over, scoop up the carcasses, and follow her. Amanda came last, her head hanging low.
"What did that zebra tell you, Amanda?" her mother asked when she had caught up to her. She noticed the cub was looking a little down-cast. Amanda looked up, her face dripping with rain, but Semira could see that her eyes were sparkling with tears as well.
"She told me I'm a disappointment to our pride, and I'll never make a good hunter."

Kivuli just looked at Zeke, He did not want to firce the young lion into anything and decided to leave 'Im off back now, the rain is letting up a bit' Kivuli began his slow walk back 'If you want to fnd out about this pride just come' Kivuli left Zeke underneth the tree

Meanwhile Simba had returned to Priderock only to find Kivuli missing 'Oh no, where is he?' Simba searched Priderock with no luck. He stood and scanned the land to see for any signs. Kivuli was over a small ridge and out of sight. Simba gre concerned and darted off out to the savana. He fianlly caught up with the hunting party 'Semira thank god i found you, have you seen Kivuli?' The lioness all shook their heads 'Damn it hes not at Priderock hes missing'

[Zeke]

Zeke watched Kivuli as he slowly walked away toward Pride Rock. He was torn between staying and following his old pride member to his new home. His curiosity was beginning to eat away at his normally strong will and before he knew it, Zeke began to ease away from the tree, keeping behind cover and out of sight and smell of Kivuli. Deciding that a direct approach wasn't the best path, Zeke started to head toward the back of the large rock.
