Tai stared at Nanati, she was devouring the zebra. He looked up, at Zeke and Mila. Mila was on top of Zeke, and he was licking her face... He turned back to face Nanati, just watching as she ate, He loved everything about her, from her amazing eyes, to her mixmatched claws. He never wanted to be without her.

Mila was comfortable in Zeke's forelegs, and she smiled when she was licked. She felt the rasp tongue slide across her gentle cheek, and grinned wider as she soaked in what was happening. She gave back his affections by giving Zeke's muzzle a sustained lick. She felt him shiver a bit, and gently placed a paw on Zeke's left cheek, and looked straight down at him. "Hey" She almost whispered, and smiled even wider. What's he gonna do? She thought as she grinned down at the stunned face of the male.

"Hey," Zeke replied. He could not think for in his eyes, he was staring into the face of beauty itself. Zeke leaned forward and rubbed his cheek against Mila's. He saw Tai glance over at them, but he didn't care anymore. He had never experienced the feeling of love before and he was tangled in its binding grip.

[Sorry for the long wait on the reply. I've been busy ^^]

Mila was amazed at how the simplest reply could make her feel so warm inside. It was great to feel this with Zeke, and for once in her life she thought she had made a good decision. She stared at the admirable mane that Zeke possessed, the colors that it emanated were just dazzling and stunning, that she couldn't move her eyes from his face. The two just stayed in the position for a long while, not even realizing how awkward it would look for a spectator if someone just so happened to notice the situation Mila was in. She could tell that Zeke felt the same way about her as Mila felt about him, as his eyes glimmered with passion that only true love could produce. She remained quiet
as she inspected every last detail of Zeke's wonderful face.

After a minute or so, Mila decided to break the silence by stating something she had noticed before. "It's getting quite dark. It's been a long day.. we should probably get some rest?" Mila asked, unsure of what to do.

Tai just sat and started at Mila, unsure of if she was talking to everyone, or if she was only talking to Zeke. Finally, to break the awkward silence he said, "Yeah, we probably should get some sleep, today was a big day.... I'm bushed" Tai looked at Nanati, and asked,"What do you think?"

[Zeke]

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Zeke said, snapping out of his current state. He waited until Mila got off him and rolled over onto his stomach and looked around. His mind was blank and he just stared off into the distance, not sure of what to think of himself. Zeke had no idea of what he was looking at, or why he was laying outside, he just felt content.

Mila began to walk inside the cave alone. She hadn't noticed that she was alone until she looked behind her shoulder. She saw Zeke just laying there, and wondered what he was up to. "Coming?" She asked, failing to note Tai and Nanati to her other side. She didn't wait for Zeke to come in, knowing he would follow suit. Upon entering the now pitch black cave, she laid down near a corner, and used her forelegs as a head rest. She was exhausted. The day that was now coming to an end had taken it's toll on her body, and she was no were near energetic like she usually was. She slowly closed her eyes and waited for sleep to take it's hold on her.

"Let's go to bed. I'm reallly tired.... " Nanati trailed off. She WAS in fact completely exhausted, as Mila was. She slowly got up, and ignored everything as she walked alongside Tai and Mila back inside the cave. She walked over to a spot that seemed to be a good place to sleep, collapsed on the floor, and closed her eyes.

Tai followed Nanati into the cave, letting her choose were they sleep. When she collapsed to the ground, he laid down next to her. Partially leaning on her, he closed his eyes before saying, "I love you." Tai then fell fast asleep, hoping that the next day wouldn't be so hectic.

[Zeke]

Zeke lay at the entrance for quite a while, staring at nothing and listening to the wind. He snapped out of his trance all of a sudden and looked around to see that everyone had already gone inside. Slowly, Zeke rose to his paws and padded quietly into the cave, making sure not to wake anyone. He came upon Mila, sound asleep in the corner and lay down next to her, falling asleep almost instantly.

~~TIME LAPSE... YAY!!~~

2 weeks had passed by since Mila and Zeke had found Tai and Nanati. The two lionesses had grown to become very good friends, and they had discovered that they had a lot in common. The two lionesses spent most of their time hanging out with one another, when they weren't with their respective lions, for that matter. Mila's stomach was showing quite obviously now, although it wasn't huge, it was noticeable. Nanati, on the other paw, was only getting skinnier. The food supply around the cave area was very scarce and hard to come by, and Mila and Nanati were almost fed up with the limited amount of meals here, and although the boys hadn't realized their mates were starving, the girls were going to give them a piece of their mind.

Mila's stomach growled loudly, awakening her from a long day-dream. She tilted her head to the right a bit, and waited for her eyes to focus to see what lay ahead. The figure of Nanati came into her plain sight. She was apparently sunbathing. As if she needs it, Mila thought. She is probably 100 percent eye candy to any lion that came her way. She admired the shape of her body. Not too long ago her body was just as eye appealing to any lion as Nanati was, but she quickly shook away that thought. She spoke up after her slight look of embarrassment faded from her muzzle. "I'm so hungry!" Mila whined, knowing full well that the comment was annoying.

"That's nice to know. Your always hungry now that you have that lump of fat growing inside you." Nanati joked. She had grown to like Mila a lot, and even though she was annoying at times, understood that she must be going through a tough time. She knew full well of her background and back story of the events that occurred before they had met. "Do you want me to go get Zeke and tell him that your hungry again? He's probably sleeping from all that hunting you have been making him do recently." Nanati commented.

"What's that supposed to mean!" Mila replied with a playful tone, knowing full well what Nanati meant. She smirked at the lioness, and when Nanati spoke for a second time, she spoke up once more. "Yeah, how bout you do that for me my little minion." She exclaimed, and slowly picked her body up off of the solid ground beneath her paws. She began to walk towards the cave that Zeke was supposedly resting in, and looked back at Nanati. "I'll be right back." She said as she smiled towards Nanati, and took off. Upon reaching the cave, she noticed Zeke asleep in the same corner that Mila and Zeke cuddled up against every night they had been staying here. His ears perked at the sound of Mila's paws, so she had assumed that he was awake. "Zeke... " She whispered. After a second of no reply, she whispered again. " Zeke, you awake?"

Nanati just stared across the savannah as Mila spoke. She nodded as she spoke of going to find Zeke. As Mila's paws became a distant noise, she wondered. Where's Tai? She looked around, wondering where he could have gone. He's probably not with Zeke, I dunno what the problem between those two are. There's definitely a problem even though they don't express it openly. Nanati wondered what in the world Tai could possibly be doing without her. Where would he be anyway? Whatever. I like this sun against my fur. He'll appreciate me for that. She proceeded to think. It doesn't matter anyway. He can come find me if he wants me. Nanati continued to let the suns beams shine on her bright golden fur, and smiled as she looked out to the peaceful land in front of her.
